i don't think dwight asked for their heads directly, but was more of a management decision who desperately wanted dwight to stay. but even if he did, can you really blame him? SVG, despite his winning record, has lost it since bringing the magic to the finals vs the lakers. after that, it's all downhill. the last 2 years they lost in the first round. even if lack of personnel had something to do with it, SVG is also to blame for not being a great motivator and for his demoralizing antics. in fact, he was not well-liked among his players.

speaking of personnel, otis smith made a lot of bad personnel moves and signed bad contracts during his tenure. chris duhon, vince carter, gilbert arenas, hedo turkoglu, quentin richardson. and he let marcin gortat get away. the only steal he engineered was ryan anderson.

i think like pau, dwight needs a new environment and he's ready to go. he's a physical player who brings it every night on defense. bynum, on the other hand, plays well only when he feels like it. his boorish attitude is annoying. hurting opposing players, shooting threes, not listening to coaching huddles, not giving it his all (he admitted it) and not shaking opponents' hands after a loss. paano pa kaya kung mag-retire si kobe at siya na ang main man ng lakers?

but of course, everything i said is predicated on dwight agreeing to be second banana to kobe until kobe retires. kung ayaw niya sa lakers, fine. hanap ng iba.

why trade PGasol for a PG when the free agency is rich in proven UNrestricted point guards? the only question would be ... "how much is their professional fee?"

we should look for a PF who could also play the 5 position.

No. Kahn is looking to offer Rubio the max. He cannot do that if he trades for Pau unless it's for the vet minimum. Plus, no to trading caged lion, not until the end of next season at least. Beasley+Randolph+Barea+Wes na lang.

i still wouldn't touch dwight even with a 10-foot pole stick. he has become worse than lebron james and it is widely known that he is scared of LA's bright lights and does not want to play second fiddle to kobe. he is a dangerous hedge for mitch kupchak, which can either go extremely well or extremely bad.

if we can package pau or bynum for a couple of decent big men, shooters and solid role players who will bring it EVERY NIGHT, then i am all for it. i don't think it's worth it to risk trading for dwight, given the circumstances and his background. he basically ran the coach and the GM out of town. even kobe could not pull that off.

RSessions should develop a consistent 3 point shot to get the respect of KByrant.

did anyone notice in 4Q of the last game of the LA-OKC elims, KB24 refused passing the ball back to RS when he was asking for a return pass to set the play; and there were times that RS was waiving to KB24 to rotate the ball; instead the guy kept on shooting?

its the KOBE system; "give me the ball, i shoot, you rebound."

mike brown's "offensive system" is/was holding back ramon sessions. it is so evident in the playoffs. sessions wants to speed things up a bit while mike wants the good ol' slow, grind it out game so that kobe, pau and bynum can keep pace. mike brown obviously did not strike the right balance ... plus he is so hard-headed (yeah, ironic for a bald guy) that he keeps playing the sessions and blake combination which, as clear as daylight, doesn't work for the lakers.

it does not help that his outside shot got vaporized in the playoffs; it totally shattered his confidence -- and that's the complete story of how and why steve blake totally outplayed him in the playoffs.

and asides from the shooting woes, we definitely relaxed on the boards BIG TIME.

and every championship team knows that you can't win championships without fighting for rebounds. LA was outworked and outhustled by OKCs big men this whole series.

ironic, considering that we have 2 seven footers.

well if we look back, Bynum is to blame for that. Gasol at least tried, even had 16 boards last night. Drew though, man... he's space cadet sometimes.

it really says a lot when your two best bigs are being outworked by nick collison in the post -- a white, undersized power forward.

bynum needs to get his head screwed right on more than he needs to get his zen on.

nick fricking collison. yeah it does say a lot.

    ang sama isipin.

one of our bigs does not bring it consistently, while the other is not used to physicality. we need big men who are not afraid to bang bodies, yung hindi takot makipagpalitan ng mukha.

can we all agree na dapat itrade na si tigas mukhang Bynum?

naalala ko tuloy yung natalo tayo nung game 2 ba yun, tapos natatawa pa siya.

  14. #94
i said a few days ago that bynum seems to be suffering from a sense of entitlement. all those accolades he has received due to his monster games have gotten into his head. tulad nung sabi ni shaq siya na ang best big man today. feeling niya ang galing galing na niya. and because jim bust has his back, he thinks he's untouchable. i hate his attitude. pag talo, pangisi-ngisi lang. i'm sure pag wala na si kobe, prima donna na ito. baka gayahin si shaq na pa-easy easy lang pag regular season or ala allen iverson na ayaw mag-practice.

yes. we cannot keep leave a loose cannon like bynum with kobe who is a nuclear explosion waiting to happen. kobe is going to kill bynum if he goes off on him. at least we all know he's not going to do that with pau.

They need to bring back Phil Jackson, Odom, Fisher and Brian Shaw for Kobe's sake.

pero sana mag stay pa din si Fish sa OKC.

Nag improve naman ang Lakers. Last year they got swept in the 2nd round. This year they won 1 game.

It is scary to thing to think that the future of the Lakers is with Bynum.
There is something wrong with him mentally.
Maybe next year he will start claiming it to be his team.
Then you will have another Shaq vs Kobe type feud...

Keepers - Kobe, Session, MWP, Jordan Hill, Bynum

If they get a great offer for Bynum then keep Gasol.

d-will talaga sana kung kaya makuha.
    short term solution
    vet min for nash.

    malamang siguro babalik si Lamar

i also like ryan anderson for l.a big man who's consistent sa 3

pwede din mangarap package sa MIN para makuha si Love and Beasley haha sino naman ibibgay? I'm sure rubio will love to play with Pau
