Brook Lopez says hi to the whole LAL frontcourt:

Just to be clear, I'm against that trade scenario. Lopez > Bynum and Deron > Sessions.

Let's Be Real here, Brook Lopez is an oversized PF, who is much similar to pau gasoft

When was the last time you saw Gasoft do these moves?

I'd be the first to admit that he needs work on the defensive and rebounding ends. But they can easily be remedied. He once averaged 8.7 rpg to go with 18.8 ppg. He's a season or two away from being a 20-10 guy. He goes to work every night. He doesn't complain that he's not the biggest man on campus. He goes to work hard even if he's always on the trading block. His teammates like him and his attitude. Oh, he's also one of the most-skilled offensive centers in the NBA.

What makes him an "oversized PF"? Let's say that he is. How is that a bad thing if he can drop 20, 30 points a night? Besides, from the looks of it, most Laker fans want this "oversized PF" over your boy - the "potential franchise player".

When the a big man is constantly fronted, it's up to the guards/forwards to adjust. An effective couter is .....................throwing a good lob pass.

I never really understood why would trading for a player who's had surgery on a broken foot due to a stress fracture be a GREAT idea

Found this quote by the performing surgeon:

"A single screw was inserted into the bone to stabilize the fracture and speed up the healing process," foot specialist Dr. Martin O'Malley said in a statement. "He was placed in a boot and will walk with the aid of crutches. Brook will begin his rehab in two weeks."

Goes both ways. Bynum has had injuries in his knees. D12 has a bad back. It's all about recovering.

True. But thing is this, kapag nilagyan na ang turnilyo ang concerned body part, that's when you should be most concerned.

Hehe.

I also remember Ilgauskas. If I remember correctly madami na din bakal sa katawan yun but his most productive years were spent after those surgeries. Brook is still young. No one among the Nets organization is really concerned.

    2008-10 Gasol,
Well if that happens , it is what it is and he will have more touches with them and have a 25/15 season!

Drew-Marshon duo would be great, Talk about a poor man's Shaq-Kobe duo

Sino kaya makukuha ng Lakers sa draft?? Eto *** draft history ng Lakers from 45th pick onwards:

    no.45-Toby Bailey (1998)
    no.46- James Edwards (1977)
    no. 48- Marc Gasol (2007)
    no.51- Tony Smith (1990)
    no.56- CJ Kupec (1975)
    no.57- * Marcus Douthit (2004)
    no.60- Michael Cooper (1978)

Yup. All I'm trying to say is just because may injury siya, eh hindi na magiging effective. You always just roll the dice with players na nagkaron ng injury. Teams will also do the necessary physical to make sure that the player has recovered.

Yes, but Brook is only 23 years old. He's not even at his peak yet dahil ilang years palang siya naglalaro sa league. The Gasol that you mentioned was the prime Gasol.

Honestly, and I'm being unbiased, I don't think the Nets will agree to the trade. It's not just because of Brook vs Bynum because they're both talented and at the end of the day, we can't really say who's going to be better after 5 years dahil a lot of things can happen. Brook may focus less on getting points and put more focus on rebounding. Bynum might develop Kobe's killer instinct. It's the Deron vs Sessions part na sobra mismatch.

I'm being unbiased as well. Brook Lopez has the potential to be a great big man.

Just like MakaveliLives, I also oppose the Bynum for Lopez trade. Heck, even half of myself is opposing trading Lopez for Howard. Why? Because I can see that he can be a dominant big man.

His rebounding and defense is still a suspect in his game. But it can easily be worked out. I also believe that he's the most polished offensive center in the NBA right now. And he's just 23 years old! Just look at his 39-point performance that MakaveliLives posted. As well as his outburst against Dallas in 1 of his 5 games this season.

If given the confidence and luck on recovering from his injury, Lopez can be a 25-10 guy.

    Bynum >>>>> Lopez

Sorry guys, it's not even close. I am as tired of Bynum's antics as you guys are, but he is clearly on another level than Lopez.

This is Brook fxcking Lopez we're talking about. If you thought Pau is soft, wait 'til you see this guy play.

Buuuut... since we're getting Deron Williams in this trade scenario, I'd pull the trigger on this deal. I'm worried that we might have the softest frontcourt in the game with Lopez and Pau

It would be awesome if Mitch can pull off Pau+Lopez for Dwight+Anderson though

    Not even close?!?

Come on. Bynum's advantage against Lopez is his defense and rebounding. And I dare say it's not by a mile.

Buuuut... Lopez' offensive repertoire is waaaay better than Bynum's. A polished post game, a decent to above average outside shooting. Great freethrow shooter for his size.

For a center, it's easier to develop your defensive and rebounding skills. So, I would definitely pick an offensively-talented but soft Lopez and develop his weaknesses.
