I'm a Nurse: Torn between Quebec and Australia

Hi there. Eto nga, mga problems ng nurse. Which country to go to. I hope you can shed some light.

Here's the situation. I have already taken the IELTS. I took the General module because I got interested in applying in Quebec Skilled worker, for the reason na pwede ko din isama sa application ko partner ko. My original plan talaga, and before I met my partner was to work in countries like Au or NZ. All the while na nagrereview ako ng Academic Ielts, I immediately shifted to GT dahil naconvince ako dun sa coworker ko na mag Canada nlng daw, specifically Quebec kasi madali, but one has to learn French muna.

Last night ka-chat ko frnd ko na nasa Au na. And dahil sa nalaman ko na more than 200k ang salary monthly, sobrang nagdalawang icp nko. ang sarap nun. huhuhu.

Tapos alam nyo un, Quebec dahil I can bring the love of my life, pero sa Au, iiwan ko ulit **

Also, I can compare the living conditions of the two countries. Au-malapit sa Pinas, maganda weather. Canada-cold and sobrang layo pero kasama ko partner ko. And I have also done research that Quebec ang may pinakamababang sahod for nurses sa buong Canada. But their cost of living is also low.

    Now I'm so confused.

    Help

Are you qualified under the Quebec immigration program? Have you checked the free online evaluation on their website? You will need at least past basic French in order to safely say that they will qualify you. With the nursing registration, I think they conduct both a written and practical exam.

Standard of living is actually comparable. Australia and Canada rank high on Human Development Index. Both have socialized health care, great educational facilities, and they're both multicultural.

Also, it may not be all about the salary. You have to consider the job satisfaction, the working conditions.

And also, it is possible to bring your partner in Australia. I don't know where you got the information that you can't. You should check on that.

Hi! Thanks for the info. Yes, I passed their online evaluation. And currently preparing the docs.

If you were to choose between the two, Quebec or Au?

In Au, I was thinking to apply for AHPRA. Xempre if ever, ako talaga mauuna dun. So parang it wouuld take time before my partner can join me in Au. I'm not really familiar. And I wouldn't be taking the immigrant path for Au.

In Australia, if you are successful in attaining nursing registration and an employer hires you, your partner will be included on your visa application.

So Quebec or Australia? Depends on your short and long term goal and only you can answer that.
