    Quarter-life Crisis Solutions

I've been intrigued by the thread on Quarter-life crisis.
    See it here

    In my case,
    1. I started learning to play a music instrument. Heck, don't listen to old wizards who say that music training starts at 3 years old. It's never old to start learning.

Nawala na kasi ako ng interest sa pakikinig lang ng kanta. Lalo na ngayon, basura lahat ng mga kanta sa radyo (IMO). Kaya inisip ko na ako naman mismo ang magtutugtog ng kanta. Aim ko ngayon, to play good music to people.

    2. I've been thinking to exposing myself to film. Try niyo minsan manood sa Shangrila edsa ng film festival. It's free, and they're more substantial, literature-wise.

    How about you?

Hi Pasigueno, marami pwedeng gawin to resolve QLC. Usually, it starts with being aware that you have it. Then you start making conscious decisions that would help you out of it. I usually read self-help books, blogs. I also reflect a lot. Another way is to attend a retreat to commune with yourself. I'm going to post a retreat that would be happening soon. 3 day retreat siya, the retreat house is very cozy and you really would get to reflect on whatever life issue you have. 3.5k lang, inclusive of everything.

"Life's Directions 89, to be held at the Karis Retreat House Tagaytay on June 1 - 3 2012 is open to those who would like to take the weekend to reflect and reconnect. Please direct inquiries to Frances, 0917.553.6263 or LDSecretariat@gmail.com." http://karistagaytay.blogspot.com/20...s-retreat.html

    Change your perception.

Have you tried not seeing it as dramatic as a "crisis" and think of it as just part of life?

A lot of the concerns of those having QLC is just in the mind.

    @tigaortigas, @ pasigueno, magkapitbahay kayo? O mag-alternick lang?

QLC: When despite all the education you had misguided ka pa rin sa real life, wala kang pinagkakaabalahan sa buhay o career, wala kang gf, bf or asawa. When your idle hands and chaotic mind watch and listen as seasons, hours, minutes and seconds pass by, and take a peek at what the Joneses have.

Solution: Ask those in midlife what wrong you are doing and how to prevent sowing inaction and reaping regrets later.
