im gonna try to open a store here in manila such as anime figures,cosplay costume etc.

yes it would especially if your store would offer a very WIDE variety of anime items esp those for cosplay. i dun think any specialty store in manila has offered that yet.

Diba may ganyan na dito yung Comic Alley?
Siguro papatok naman, marami namang pinoy of all ages and genders ang mahilig sa Anime eh, basta ba lahat ng magugustuhan ng mga Anime Lovers ay nandun, lalo siguro yung mga kailangan ng mga cosplayer, kasi ginagastusan talaga nila yun.

thanks for the advice, maybe start muna ako online selling then kuha ng pwesto if ever.tumingin na ako sa mga anime store kaya ang ginawa ko para maiba yung anime characters na wala pa dito at rare item.

Mahirap dito, kasi mas nakapokus sa Western grapical art ang maraming Pinoy, e. Nakakadismaya ito, pero ganun talaga, e. Lagi na laang sunud-sunuran tayo sa mga Kano, kahit dito sa graphical arts.
Tama, start small.

For niche markets, I think the best way to go is do online selling. If you're opening a store for anime goods, may mga competitors ka na actually. And yeah, make sure everything you will sell will be original goods as well as those that is hard to find. It will be great if you have contacts from Japan.
A cosplay shop would be great too if you know how to craft and sew
