    BS Agri. Chem???

Is it true?

I'm planning to shift into this course kasi eh. Can anyone help me? May kakilala po ba kayong graduate nitong course na to? How much is their salary?

Planong mag-shift at mag-transfer next AY.

Opo! UPLB BS Comp.

Nakakasayang ** kasi kung magaaral ako tapos I'll end up in a job that doesn't make use of all my knowledge (jobs like farming or other jobs in call centers).

Sa govt natin? Sana nga. Lilipat ka ** bang ag chem? O sa ibang course ka mag shishift?

having an Agri or Agriculture in the name of the course doesn't mean that you will be a farmer.

in Agri Chem, there is also the "Chem" or Chemistry. this, i believe, is the study of the chemicals and substances that are helpful in the growth and production of agri products.

i think the career opportunities will be more in the government. Dept. of Agriculture and IRRI

Hehe. Yes po, baka lang po kasi considering the state of our country and the few jobs available in here, I kinda wondered what if baka mangyari un. I guess not naman siguro based from others' opinions.

It doesn't matter what degree you EARNED. Its all about how you utilize the skills you LEARNED. Ang dami kong mga kaibigan at mga ka-batch na successful in their lives working in jobs that are far-removed from their baccaleaureate degrees. E.g. mga Geology grads sila pero meron abogado, doctor, computer programmer, administrators, businessmen, graphics artists, teachers, etc. Maganda nga yung kurso mo, you have at least 2 career paths to choose later on, and if you are open-minded, there are are infinite options out there. Those who limit themselves to the limits of their academic title are being silly and foolish.

yeah...

As per your inquiry, you can work in IRRI as soil scientist or even sa government (eg.NSWM-DA) and other RDI's (public and private).

Uhmm, BS AgChem is a good course, actually its more of like you are taking up Agriculture and Chemistry at the same time , Application of Chemistry sa Agriculture! bla blah blah. Anyways yung magiging magsasaka kiyeme? Yes if you want, you can be one! ano bang meron sa salitang magsasaka? saksakin ko sila sa ngala-ngala eh... IRRI of course will be there to accommodate you. But if you want to be your own boss gamitin mo ang matututunan mo sa Agriculture to build your own Farm! Meron ding specializ... To top it all up, you can also take the boards sa Agriculture!
