    consultancy firms- PLEASE advice

    hi all,
how much does a person pay for services of a consultancy firm? im thinking of going to Canada and checked different websites of consultancy firms.
    Thanks in advance!

What I can suggest you do is to attend those free seminars provided by these agencies. Dun mo malalaman ang process, as well as if you are qualified, (meron silang point system), and of course yung mga fees.

the official website is very straight forward.

nagbabayad ka lang ng mamahaling secretary at courier to facilitate your application.

    Smile Use of migration consultancies

We used the services of one who helped with my cousin's and lola's applications. They were very decent at lawyers ang kausap namin :-) We tried yung mga free seminars but very general naman ang discussion. Can't give the name here sa forum, baka bawal :-) Just be careful in choosing your consultancy. Good luck!

I believe the standard rate (it doesn't take a lot to google) is around USD 1K to 1,500. Some will let you pay half initially, and then you pay another half once the embassy assessed and approved receipt of application (this does not mean approval of application). Its seems scammish but that's another discussion.

You pay and they fill up forms for you. Some will also represent you throughout the process, meaning all embassy correspondence go through them. And those more reputable ones, their address office becomes your address.

But before you pay, ask them (and yourself) this: how long will you wait? If you are not satisfied with their answer, do not pay. Did you see what's happened to many of those who applied for Canada a few years ago? Many of them waited 5 to 8 years, and then Canada decided to refund the money. Many of these pay agents in full, on top of the embassy application fees (I believe it's around 500 to 600 USD). They are refunding that application fee. But the 1k+ you paid the agent? They're non-refundable.

And agents will not improve your chances. Like someone said above, if you can read and write, have some patience, and interested to learn the process yourself, application is very simple.

    Good luck.

Just do it yourself para makatipid ka lalo kung wala namang hassle yung application mo.
