Desididong bilhin ni MVP ang GMA7! MVP reiterates that GMA7 is PROFITABLE and HEALTHY! Pero iba talaga ang pagkakaintindi ng Abscbn fanatic about MVP buying GMA7! Hahahah! Hahahah! bago ka mangalandakan na walang utang ang GMA7 tingnan mo muna ang IS and BS nila...internal books of accounts...check and balance....bank debit and credits...at kung anu ano pang books of accounts...mabuti pa nga ang Dos me utang pero kumikita naman ang business nila kaya pinagtitiwalaan ng mga lending comapanies...di kagaya sa GMA at TV5 umaasa lang sa talaga sa tv ads para kumita....dahil iniiwasan ang makapangutang ng malaki tinitipid ang production cost at artista. susme!

MIDCAP-Philippine ABS-CBN scores poorly on earnings metrics

ABS-CBN emerges as the worst performer based on earnings metrics among 38 firms in the Philippines, tracked by at least three analysts, Thomson Reuters StarMine data shows.

The broadcaster fares badly with an Analyst Revision Score (ARM) of 1 and an Earnings Quality (EQ) score of 6.

Its low EQ score suggests poor earning sustainability and analysts have cut EPS estimates on the firm for the year ending 2012 by 16.9 percent over the past week.

Also, a score of 11 in StarMine's SmartHoldings model suggests a potential decrease in institutional ownership.

The stock is down over 12 percent over the past month, while the broader index is down more than 2 percent, as of Tuesday's close.

CONTEXT:

A low score on StarMine's Earnings Quality model signals poor earnings sustainability over the next 12 months based on a company's past operating performance.

StarMine's Analyst Revision Model ranks stocks based on analysts' revision of earnings and revenue estimates and changes in their ratings and usually gives additional weight to analysts who have been more accurate in the past.

MUKHANG sa pagsasanib-puwersa na nga raw mauuwi ang hindi mamatay-matay na isyu patungkol sa planong pagbili ni Manny Pangilinan sa GMA7. Ilang porsiyento raw kasi ng Kapuso network ay mapapasakamay na ni Mr. Pangilinan, at kapag nangyari ito ay hindi nga malayong magkakaroon nang merging ang dalawang television network.

Napakamot naman daw ng ulo ang ilang talent ng Siyete na umalis sa kanila at lumipat sa Kapatid dahil hitsurang hindi rin sila nakawala sa anino ng GMA. ‘Yung mga taong inaayawan nila sa rati nilang home studio na dahilan nang kanilang paglayas ay makakabanggaan din pala nila ng balikat eventually. Balewala lang ang pag-exit nila. Hahaha!

They may dispute each other's rankings, but when it comes to executive compensation, ABS-CBN is definitely way, way ahead of competing GMA Network.

ABS-CBN reported Thursday that it paid chief executive and child of owner Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III and its four highest officers nearly P233.4 million last year, which works out to an average of P46.6 million each.

Lopez's charmed circle includes president Ma. Rosario Santos-Concio, Roldeo Theodore Endrinal, Rolando Valdueza and Ma. Socorro Vidanes.

In contrast, GMA chairman and chief executive Felipe Gozon paid himself and his co-owner, president Gilberto Duavit Jr. as well as Felipe Yalong, Marissa Flores and Wilma Galvante a little over P134 million, or about P23.36 million each.

The combined compensation still includes the last paycheck of broadcaster Miguel Enriquez, who retired from GMA in September 2011 as senior vice president for radio operations.

The wide disparity between the two networks may be explained by ABS-CBN posting a net income of P2.42 billion last year, compared to GMA's P1.7 billion.

Still, the compensation gulf may not be that wide, given GMA's profit-sharing clause for its board and executive committee that has been cast in stone within the network's charter.

According to that provision, both Gozon and Duavit are also entitled as directors to one percent of the year's net income "to be distributed share and share alike" among GMA's nine board members.

Over and above that, the GMA chief executive and the president are also entitled to another 1.5 percent of the net income as extra compensation for the network's executive committee.

That 2.5 percent works out to over P42.8 million for all. Do the rest of the math.

Ang tanong, ngayon pa ba maaalarma ang Kapamilya Network eh lahat halos ng shows nila ay tinatangkilik ng televiewers hindi lang dito sa Pinas kundi sa iba’t ibang bansa na may TFC? Saka ilang dekada na ba sa ere ang Dos at isama mo na rin diyan ang hindi na mabilang na pinasikat nilang mga artista, ang TV5 ba may na-build-up na sumikat? Waley pa!

Yes, hanggang ngayon starlet na starlet pa rin ang dating ng pinagmamalaki nilang si Eula Caballero no! ‘Yung GMA7 naman, poor second lang sa ABS. So ano ang dapat nilang ika-insecure sa napababalitang merger na ito ng Kapuso at Kapatid Network?

Mabuti pa, paghusayan na lang ng dalawang istasyon ang pagiging magkasosyo nila nang sa ganon makalaban naman sila sa Dos in terms of ratings! How true? HAYAN na nga at mukhang kinumpirma na ni Manny Pangilinan, may-ari ng TV5 at iba pang malalaking kompanya sa bansa ang bali-balitang siya na ang nagmamay-ari ng kalahati ng shares ng GMA7, ito ay kung pagbabasehan ang panawagan ni MVP sa presscon ng naturang TV station sa Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco, California na anya’y suportahan ang TV5 sa Amerika at huwag ding kalimutang suportahan ang GMA7.

Malamang sa pagbabalik ni Mr. Pangilinan sa Pinas pagkatapos ng TV5 International Launch sa Amerika ay baka ayusin na nito ang pormal na pag-upo sa trono ng Kapuso network.

Ano kaya ang magiging tawag kapag ang Kapuso at Kapatid ay magsanib, Kapusod? Hehehe!

Well, masaya ito. At least, dahil kay MVP, hindi mawawalan ng trabaho ang karamihan sa talents ng Siyete. Si Ms. Angel kaya, mananatili ba sa pwesto nya?

Si Pechay, este, Ms. Peachy, na lumayas sa Channel 7 at lumipat sa ABS-CBN at ngayon sa Singko, aapak kayang muli sa rati niyang pinagsisilbihang network?

NINILAW ni Mr. Manny Pangilinan na hindi niya nababanggit ang tungkol sa merger ng GMA-7 at TV5 dahil hanggang sa mga oras na ito ay nag-uusap pa ang both parties para sa usaping ito. Ang malinaw, nagsanib-pwersa ang Kapatid at Kapuso sa US sa pamamagitan ng Dish Network, ang cable channel na kung saan mapapanood ang Singko at Siyete.

Nagtataka lang kami kung bakit sa kabila ng mas malaking TV network ang GMA pero bakit binibitbit lang ito ng TV5 para mapanood sa cable channel sa America?

Hindi ba’t matagal nang napanonood sa Tate ang huli dahil may service provider na silang kinakabitan? Hindi ba sila nakababayad kaya sinalo sila ng mabait at magaling na businessman?

uy compare mo naman yung dating channel 5. mas di hamak na mas marami ngayon ang viewers ng channel. kahit kami na dating hindi nanunuod ng channel 5 e ngayon laging channel 5 at ABS CBN ang pinapanuod dito sa amin.

ibig lang sabihin na magaling yung kasalukuyang head ng tv5. im sure after a year siguradong mas aangat pa ang tv5. baka nga maungusan nya either yung abs cbn o gma.
