I agree, though I am really sure that you two deserve each other.

    Kidding aside...

We are all Filipinos here (shooter_mcgavin not included).

It is just natural that because we Filipinos with Chinese ancestry have this "ancestral baggage."

What I am asking you (and Filipinos like you) let us agree to a compromise. Please give us a chance for this is our land too. This is where our loved ones are, this is where are friends are, above all this is the country that we will help to defend and care for.

And please, man, forget about Henry Sy, Sr., he is very old and weak. Remember our traditions, "alaga at respeto sa matanda".

what is wrong with the establishments built by Henry Sy? nagtayo ba siya ng establishments na substandard ang mga materyales?

why count only on Henry Sy its because of his SM and its affiliates are widespread all over the PH? why not also give some comments to Lucio Tan? Tony Tan Caktiong (of Jollibee)? George S.K. Ty (of Metrobank)? and etc.?

ano ba kinalaman ni Henry Sy (and other Fil-Chi tycoons) sa dispute ng China at Pilipinas sa Scarborough Shoal? it's a territorial dispute, not business dispute.

Guys, at posts #61 and #62 we already agreed on a compromise.

@doombot man, is it ok if we already "retire" and leave this thread behind us? It is really divisive, and we all have better things to discuss in other threads anyway.

Henry Sy is a friend to the patriotic Eurasian billionaires like Zobel, Razon, Hindes, Baer and others -- but I doubt Lucio Tan.

I was secretly hoping this could have turned to a topic about how bad SM Malls are. Can you believe they charge 200 Pesos for the Cinemas in MOA despite having the same crappy layout and ambiance they used in the early 90's, In contract Greenhills and Ayala Malls charge Pesos 160 to 200 but the accommodations are much better.

And those Supermarkets, how retarded are their lanes are setup. "Big Cart" or "Small Cart". I mean the most obvious loop hole is that the Big Cart lane is short and you only have one item (like a toilet paper) all you have to do is put your toilet paper in the big cart. Plus the groceries and malls are so crowded, it's bad enough they have dance numbers that makes the whole atmosphere even more annoying.

Plus I'm pissed at how their restrooms always have no soap or toilet paper (well most Malls don't have toilet paper but at least they provide a 10 peso lounge for people who need to do #2).

TS has requested to close this thread. If there are any more points to be raised about the West Philippine Sea issue, you can use the sticky thread.
