Last May 2, we wrote about a resurgence of live movie watching in theaters after which we received a lot of e-mails from people agreeing with the observation. Today, the practice continues albeit with less success income-wise due to competition from worldwide blockbusters like The Avengers. During this period, we watched The Mommy Returns, Every Breath You Take, 21 Jump Street, American Pie Reunion and Dark Shadows.



Meanwhile, we have been among those hoping the best for Star Cinema’s Every Breath U Take (Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban), that its results help ease whatever pain Piolo must be going through silently. Latest word is positive. A good person like Piolo and a good film deserve its dues. The film is a delightful package that utilizes Angelica’s comic flair to the hilt, and offers Piolo more opportunity to do comedy and action apart from the drama and romance component. Ryan Bang in his introductory role is a riot. And director Mae Cruz as usual overdoes herself in every picture she helms.

KUNG ang mga pick-girls sa kahabaan ng Quezon Avenue ay flopsina sa customer, ang pelikula ng Star Cinema na Every Breath U Take na pinagbibidahan nina Angelica Panganiban at Piolo Pascual ay patuloy sa pag-pick-up ng moviegoers taliwas sa ipinangangalandakan ng isang TV host na walang credibility. Baka yung kanyang show ang flop dahil kung saan-saang oras ito napupunta.

Ang mga proyekto ng Star Cinema ay pinanonood hindi lamang dahil sa mga bida kundi sa pagkakagawa nito na siguradong magugustuhan ng publiko. Kuha mo?

Sobrang ganda ng movie nila Angelica Panganiban at Piolo Pascual, lahat ngconcept ng movie nandoon na. ROMANCE,COMEDY,ACTION and DRAMA. Bagay na bagay sila at talagang may chemistry onscreen. Ang ganda ng story. May mga habulan pa ng sasakyan.Magaling talaga sa timing sa comedy si Angelica Panganiban at alam niya kung paano kikilitiin ang mga manonood para tumawa nang tumawa sa loob ng mga sinehan. Kaya sa lahat ng mga hindi pa nakakanood , watch na kasama ang mga kaibigan o kapamilya .

After the box-office success of Star Cinema’s Every Breath You Take; another offering, Born To Love You, still taken from a title of a hit song comes our way on Wednesday, May 30, says promo diva Josie Pereyra of JSP Ads & Promotions.

This is the much-awaited team-up of Coco Martin and Star Factor winner Angeline Quinto, her first acting attempt. Coco is said to be her “crush” and she’s so candid to admit, though said in jest, that she enjoyed their kissing scene which was shot in several takes.

Will Coco and Angeline come to Cebu for the promo of the movie? Let’s wait and see. The last time a movie promo was graced with the presence of a cast member was that of Corazon where Derek Ramsay came to town.

That was a couple of months or so ago.

Ako rin nagustuhan ko yung scene sa movie na nasa presinto sila. Nakakatuwa si Angelica habang nagkukwento sila sa mga pulis tungkol sa nangyari sa kanila. Complete kind of movie , may Romance,Comedy, Action and Drama.

hmm...we don't really know the whole story behind the break-up...but i'm glad these 2 didn't resort to cheap antics and maintained their respect for one another after the separation...6 years is indeed a large chapter of their lives, and i just wish the both of them genuine happiness...

May katuwirang matuwa ni Angelica Panganiban dahil totoo palang pinanonood ang movie nila ni Piolo Pascual na Every Breath U Take. Marami akong nakasabay na manonood nito. Bagama’t parang mas itinutulak ng pelikula pataas si Piolo, hindi maiwasan na hindi mapansin ang kagalingan ni Angelica sa comedy. She reminds me of Goldie Hawn, nanay ng sikat ding si Kate Hudson, maganda rin at magaling na seksing komedyante nung kapanahunan niya.

Sa kabila ng walang patumanggang halikan nila sa pelikula, hindi ito nakaapekto para mas maging nakakatawa kesa sexy ang pelikula.

Every Breath You Take Grosses P10 Million on It's First Day!

Star Cinema's 19th anniversary opening salvo, Every Breath You Take starring Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban has grossed P10 million on its first day according to the film outfit.


Every Breath You Take's 1st day gross of P10 million is the second-highest opening gross among local films produced this year with Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz' Unofficially Yours taking the top spot with an opening gross of P18.5 million.


Under the direction of Mae Cruz, Every Breath U Take tells the story of a woman longing to fall in love and a man who takes love easily. In the movie, Piolo plays the role of the playboy Leo who will fall in love with Angelica's virginal character named Majoy.

Also starring Carlos Agassi, Ryan Eigenmann, Smokey Manaloto, Ketchup Eusebio, Joross Gamboa, Janus del Prado,Wendy Valdez, Regine Angeles, Cacai Bautista, Frenchie Dy, and Ms. Nova Villa and introducing Ryan Bang and with special participation of Dominic Ochoa and Lito Legaspi, Every Breath You Take is still showing in theaters nationwide.

NOW, right from the horse’s mouth, wika nga.

In an interview with a broadsheet columnist, Derek Ramsay said he’s not totally closing doors nor windows on the possibility of reconciling with Angelica Panganiban.

To date, the actress remains to be his longest naka-relasyon to the point daw na naisip niyang she’s the one nang talaga.

Nearly six years din silang naging mag-on ni Angelica.

In any case, ayon pa rin kay Derek, if ever, hindi agaran ang magiging reconciliation.

Gusto raw muna niyang makapag-enjoy sa kanyang status as a single guy sa kasalukuyan. Moreover, he wants to dedicate more time to his career.

Right now daw, he can hardly wait to start work on The Amazing Race and to cover the Olympics set in London this year.

As he says, sports is something that’s closest to his heart. This is the main reason why he decided to sign up with TV5. His contract kasi specified that the network will support the one hobby he loves, ang sports nga.

Derek represented the country in the World Cup Frisbee Competition last year.

In any case, on his thoughts of not totally giving up the idea that he and Angelica will still reconcile, ang tanong, ganundin kaya ang feeling ng dalaga?

Meanwhile, both Angelica and Derek are mum on why they broke up.

Lalong natutuwa raw sila sa magandang feedback na natatanggap ng movie kahit, wika nga, sa critics.

For them, Every Breath… served its purpose — to entertain. The film is entertaining from beginning to end.

“I’ve seen the movie not just once, but a few more times,” ani Angelica. “With different friends, na iba-iba ang age.

“Natutuwa ako dahil they enjoyed watching it.”

Anytime now, according to Angelica, she is set to start shooting for a new movie, One More Try, with Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes and Zanjoe Marudo. Box-office director Ruel Bayani megs the project.

While she has worked with Dingdong na in Segunda Mano, it’s her first time raw to be working with Angel and Zanjoe.

RUMORS ABOUT Dra. Vicki Belo at Edward Mendez, ang newcomer na nali-link sa pamosong beauty doctor, will not likely come to an end.

Why will it stop, eh, parati silang nakikitang magkasama, the latest of which was when they attended the premiere night ng Born To Love You.

Marami nga ang nagtaas ng kilay na makita silang magka-holding hands while walking through the red carpet.

Many were thinking that they did it intentionally to get attention. May mga nagsasabi ring gimik lang nila ‘yong dalawa because they’re aware that all eyes were on them during the premiere night.

Being a newcomer, Edward needs publicity and to achieve it nang walang ka-effort-effort, ay sinakyan na lang niya ang tsismis sa kanila ni Belo.

Edward denied with seeming vehemence that he was the third wheel in Belo’s break-up with Hayden Kho. He was just a friend of Belo lang daw.

REGULAR KAMING pumupunta sa Robinson’s Place Malate. Naging friend na namin ang sales clerk sa shoes department because we bought a pair of shoes.

Not surprisingly, when we visit the shoes department ay marami na kaming naging kaibigan who attended to us like a professional promo agent would.

Then on May 31, while having pleasantries with some sales clerks, the department head, Lady V. D. Rebaja, came and we decided to move away. A day later, when we arrived, nobody seems to have the interest in entertaining us. We were told by at least three of the sales clerks that the department head told them not to entertain us.

With her act, this department head does not realize that she loses a potential customer. With an attitude like that she will likely turn of customer.

Sayang because we have some friends who will go to school na dadalhin ko pa naman sana sa store nila kaya lang ay ‘wag na lang.

Tama ba ang ganitong attitude ng department head? Hindi ba dapat ma-PR sila dahil sila ay nasa customer service?
