^That means Russian royal blood still flow in the veins of Romanov descendants...and they are in the Philippines.

    Therefore...

Royalty. More fun in the Philippines.

Seriously, if proven that they are descendants of the Romanovs, billionaire Russians will be coming over to seek marriage with these descendants just to have even .0001% Romanov lineage.

If proven, then these descendants will also be related to the rest of the European Royal Families.

Well, I just think that it's nice if it were true.

I am just amazed with the details in the story. If it is really a fiction, the writer is good fiction writer.

I hate the psychic part though. Made the whole thing less believable. Let them just do a DNA test. They DNA tested the remains of the Romanov's and compared it with Prince Charles who is their closest living relative. So it is obviously on file. The mom or even the author can get their DNA and have it submitted for comparison instead of further dragging this on.

Anong year at ilang taon nung namatay si Lola Tasia? Ilang taon si Anastasia nung nangyari ang revolution sa Russia? Magbilangan tayo.

lola tasya will guide her daw, unfortunately lola tasya is not aware of DNA mapping, and unfortunately again catherine is only depending on lola tasya's guidance.

Seriously wala bang smart person na kilala itong si catherine to advise her about DNA mapping. Mismong DNA nya pwede icompare kung may lineage sya with the romanovs.

this is such a stupid story. Have her DNA compared to the romanovs then write the story again.

Cool Conflict: Reports vs. Actual Bone Characteristics

The young Maria and Anastasia both fit the profile of the girl, and since siblings DNA were too close to one another, the only issue is that they couldn't settle which girl's corpse was which.
Ikaw naman, we should add fuel to fire of conspiracy.

    Kidding aside...

From the commander of the execution, a "personal note."

    Summary: I killed Anastasia.
Notable Additions and Tone of Composition: Created with Soviet apologist propaganda.

For instance, Dr Botkin lay propped up on the elbow of his right arm, as if in a relaxed pose, a revolver shot finished him off, Alexei, Tatiana, Anastasia and Olga were still alive too. Also alive was Demidova. Com. Ermakov wanted to finish the job with a bayonet. However, this was not possible. The reason for this became clear later (the daughters had diamond armor [sewn] into their under bodices). I was forced to shoot each one in turn. Most unfortunately, the valuables brought down with the executed attracted the attention of some of the red guard who were present, who decided to steal them. I proposed that the transfer of the corpses be stopped and asked Com. Medvedev to watch in the truck that no valuables were touched. On the spot, I [personally] decided to gather everything that was there.

From the commander of the execution, execution report

Summary: Each were finished with shots in the head.
Tone of composition: More details, freshly written, no propaganda intonations.

A bullet, fired by somebody in the back, hummed near my head and grazed either the palm or finger (I do not remember) of somebody. When the firing stopped, it turned out that the daughters, Alexandra Feodrovna and, it seems, Demidova and Alexei too, were alive. I think they had fallen from fear or maybe intentionally, and so they were alive. Then we proceeded to finish the shooting. (Previously I had suggested shooting at the heart to avoid a lot of blood). Alexei remained sitting petrified. I killed him. They shot the daughters but did not kill them. Then Yermakov resorted to a bayonet, but that did not work either. Finally they killed them by shooting them in the head. Only in the forest did I finally discover the reason why it had been so hard to kill the daughters and Alexandra Feodrovna.

Possible conflicting evidence found in the graves.

Summary: Skeletal evidence does not agree with the reports provided by the executioners.

Although Ermakov's archived statement does not say so, he told his wife that Anastasia was finished off with bayonets, while Yurovsky wrote that as the bodies were carried out, one or more of the girls cried out and were clubbed on the back of the head. But again, the back of Maria's skull shows no traces of violence, and Anastasia's burned and fragmented remains, identified in 2009, offer no clues to the cause of her death.
Source: King Greg, Wilson Penny (2003). The Fate of the Romanovs. pages. 353–367

    Some questions:
    1. Why were the injuries reported not seen in the skulls found.

    Some things to ponder about:
    1. There is a saying, "Nothing goes according to plan in a military(police) situation."
    2. The Soviet High Command only relied on the reports provided to them. Could it be the provincial command "somewhat screwed up" to the point that there is a "cover up." We all know that the Soviet leadership has a habit of executing people when things go out of hand.

    Psychic medium?

Sana lang niresolve muna nila 'yung story bago pinublish--but I suppose Inquirer likes to keep it open-ended para nga naman pag-usapan.

She's not gonna be the first pretender to claim to be Anastasia. In fact when one of the pretenders ( Anna Anderson,) died and her body cremated, some of her remaining tissue samples had undergone DNA testing and proved to be false.

Kaya siguro hindi nagmamadaling ipa-DNA testing nung apo ang remains ni Lola Puti.

    Anatoly Ionov (Romanov claimant)
    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anatoly Ionov (ca. 1936 - ?) is a Russian man who claims to be the son of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia.

The Imperial Russian family was killed by Bolsheviks on July 17, 1918. Ionov claims that Anastasia and her brother Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich of Russia were rescued and hidden by loyalists to the monarchy in the Russian Urals. Alexei soon died, but the loyalists brought Anastasia to ataman Alexander Dutov, a monarchist. Dutov could not take Anastasia with him when he retreated to Siberia because of her weakened physical condition.

Instead, Ionov claims Anastasia was turned over to Ksenia Karetnikova, the wife of the People's Commisar Semen Budenny. Karetnikova supposedly sent Anastasia to her parents, who claimed she was their daughter Anastasia Yakovlevna Karetnikova. Anastasia then married a man named Vladimir Ionov and had two children, Anatoly and his sister Alexandra. Ionov claims that Anastasia was murdered in August 1936 and her death covered up as a suicide caused by post-partum depression. Ionov claims that he is the rightful crown prince. He has sent letters (which went unanswered) to Vladimir Putin demanding that his mother and sister be buried in the tsar's burial vault. He also requested that their DNA be compared against that of the remains of the Tsar's family found at Ekaterinburg. This request has also gone unanswered.

Maybe related but Anastacia and her family was killed beyond heinous terms of humanity in cooperation of the Jewish mobs that's why Russia used Furor Adolf Hitler to annihilate them -- finishing him in the bunker after the purpose was served. The Intelligence Communities record shows she had a BF who tried to saved her but the bridges was all destroyed blocking the rescue effort by his beloved, the wealthy BF would then turn the course of world history and stop the world that melted her.

I am of no liberty to tell the whole story because this data are used as Government authentication information within the Intelligence Community respectively.
