when it comes to me, mas dominant ang pagiging introvert ko
Im tired of thinking what other people have to say or think about me, I've been very conscious about the impression of these darn illogical people simula nung bata pa'ko.
I've really grown tired of it.
basta I want to be the kind of person na who doesn't give a frack about other people's (unnecessary, unsolicited) opinion about me.
I am an INTP. I took the Jung Typology test posted here by a member more than a year ago. Said I was an INTP.
Then when my company conducted a professional Myers Briggs Type Indicator test, I had the same results.
I am introvert. I know this since I was a child. Because I thrived on being alone. I feel more happy alone. I can do whatever pleases me. My parents even found me weird because I would stay in my room the whole day reading. But.. I wasn't shy. I can also be makulit. I have friends, lots actually. Shyness and introversion are two different things. You may be an introvert but you can adapt an extrovert personality to conform with the demands of society like social gatherings, wedding, family reunions, etc. These activities tire me though, so I always need a quiet place to recharge after. But inherent shyness, you can't just turn it on or off.
And because of my personality, I've been called "suplada", "mataray" and such.. especially during those times I don't feel like talking. I couldn't care less with their opinions.
Besides, I am proud of the fact that most of the people who shaped our world as we know it, especially in the scientific world, were introverts.
to all the introverts or should i say, shy people,
how do you go about eating with your workmates during lunchtime? - especially if you are not really close or comfortable with that specific workmate who happened to be on lunch as well.
how do you keep the conversation flowing? or do you still sit with your workmate and just stay quiet?
or do you follow some sort of a "rule of conduct" or protocol when you get yourself into this situation?
I just stay quiet. Fortunately I am close to my two present officemates. We're only 3 in this department, so uber dyahe naman ata kung mahihiya pa ako sa kanilang dalawa at alam nilang introvert ako.
But in my previous work place, no big deal for me if I eat alone. Sa kanila lang big deal. Maige nang kumain mag-isa kaysa naman mag-pretend akong overly giddy with them. I feel stupid afterwards when I pretend to be overly bibo with a group of friends na hindi ko naman ganun ka-close.
Pag nameet nyo ako, masasabi nyong mahiyain ako dahil dede lang hinihip ko
Introvert - we energize and get hyper alone or with a close set of friends. Quality over quantity kami. It's hard to get close to us but once you do - you can be certain that you have a friend for life. It's hard to lose our loyalty since its hard to get it in the first place but once it is lost - walang bawian din kami.
Extrovert - you energize by being in a large group. The more the merrier. Masayang kasama but exhausting to us introverts in the long run.
Introvert - We are not afraid of the solitary room or being set off alone. To us its: YAY! Away from the crowd!
Extrovert - Terrified of being alone. Maski siguro papunta CR kailangan may kasama -_- Pansin ko lang. Di kayang maiwan mag isa lang sa bahay. Parang naloloka. (base on E-people I know).
Introvert - We are quite comfortable with the voices in our heads. Hence we are more self aware of our own foibles, weaknesses, etc.
Extrovert - I wonder if the reason you guys are so noisy is because you are afraid of hearing the voices in your own head and what they whisper to you.
Regardless - each type has their own strengths and weakness. Preference for Introversion or Extraversion is not a disease that can be catching. It's possible it is genetic more than acquired. Neither preference has a superiority to one or the other.
I'm an INTJ. And female. You have no idea how Philippine Society is so unforgiving and irritating to that personality type. The Philippines is one large ESFJ nation if I were to MBTI the country.
