Are you good in wasting your time? Do you log in to your facebook everyday?

The tricky part here is how can you earn. How to earn?
-Im sure in fb you are familiar with a wall. All you have to do is to share something in your wall, it could be an article found in internet( copy & pasted but be sure to include the source, it is simple sharing of knowledge, not claiming ownership of the article), you can share also stories, news updates, images, trivias and any knowledge. It is simple telling the world about what is in your mind. The more readers read it and the longer they stay reading it, the more you will earn.
-next way of earning is categorizing and rating knowledge, it is just like sorting a book in a library, putting it under history, science, english grammar etc and something like that
-another way is launching ads - (for advance user)
-last is boosting ( for advance user also)

Im sharing here leaderboard of top users from ph, on top one is my friend from Lawaan Talisay City, Cebu. The column with green is last month earning, then the all time earnings, and the charity the we are helping. Just like you I was skeptical also when this was first introduced to me but I have realized I wasted my time for nothing why not waste it again :-)
