Highest paid celebrity in Philippines revealed!

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) recently released a document list of their top tax payers of the year 2010 which includes some of the celebrities and business tycoons who paid millions from their income.

Reigning on the top spot was the Kapamilya host-actress and the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, paying more than P32 million from her P101 million income making her the highest paid celebrity in show business and the highest tax payer of BIR. She outranked three of the most popular business tycoons in Philippines such as Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala of Ayala Corporation, Henry Sy of SM Prime Holdings, and TV5’s Manuel Pangilinan.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that in a text message to ABS-CBN News, actress Shaina Magdayao confirmed that she and John Lloyd Cruz are "no longer together." However, the report noted that Magdayao "refused to divulge the reason behind the break-up."



In her text message, Magdayao said: "To end all speculations, I confirm that John Lloyd and I have agreed to end our relationship. The reason is purely between John Lloyd and myself. I most humbly request everyone to allow us to move on with our respective lives with mutual respect and dignity."



ABS-CBNNews.com also quoted an unnamed ABS-CBN News source, who said that "Cruz and Magdayao ended their relationship three weeks ago."

Mainit ang naging pagtanggap ng mga Pinoy sa Hong Kong nang dumayo ang mga Star Magic cagers na sina Rayver Cruz, Jason Abalos, Ejay Falcon, Matt Evans, Young JV, Jose Sarasola, Lance Christopher, Joseph Marco, Gerard Acao, Fred Payawan at Team Captain na si Gerald Anderson para sa isang invitational game. Naganap ang nasabing laro noong Abril 29 sa Southorn Stadium.


Hindi magkamayaw ang mga basketball fanatics sa pag-uumpisa ng laro dahil naging matindi ang labanan sa pagitan ng Star Magic team at HK Pinoy League. Sa first quarter, lumamang ng apat na puntos ang Star Magic team sa score na 17-21. Dumikit ang laban sa dalawang sumunod na quarters at nanatiling lamang ang Star Magic sa score na 41-45 at 65-68.


Sa pagtatapos ng last quarter, nanaig ang fighting spirit ng mga Star Magic cagers na lumamang ng anim na puntos (92-98) at nanalo sa nasabing invitational game. Si Gerald naman ang best player of the game na gumawa ng 38 puntos.


Hindi naman nagpahuli sina Rayver, Young JV at Gerald na aliwin ang mga manonood sa kanilang dance showdown. Naging komed*yante naman si Jason nang magpanggap na ka*laban ng sariling koponan. Naging masaya ang pagtatapos ng laro dahil nagkaroon din ng pagkakataon na malapitan ng audience ang kanilang iniidolong Star Magic stars.


Sa *pagdiriwang ng ika-20th anibersaryo ng Star Magic, ito ang kauna-unahang laro ng Star Magic Team sa labas ng bansa at inaasahang dadayo pa si*la sa iba’t ibang lugar para magpasaya ng mga kababayan natin abroad.
