Xian Lim’s

courting technique; says he’s really close to her family

Kim Chiu is now more open with her family about whom she’s dating, like in the case of Xian Lim. She happily revealed that Xian is going the extra mile when it comes to getting to know her as well as her loved ones. “Parang ngayon mas open ako sa mga sisters ko. Kasi dati sinosolo ko lang lahat ng mga nangyayari sa akin, sinosolo ko lang lahat ng mga problema ko, so hindi nila ako maiintindihan. So ngayon ino-open ko sila kay Xian. Hinihingi ko yung opinion nila. Dati padalos-dalos lang ako e,” she said in an interview with Push.com.ph and other entertainment reporters after the story conference of Ina, Kapatid, Anak Friday, May 11.

Kim further shared that Xian would even connive with her siblings every time he has a surprise for her. When asked about the sweetest thing he did for her recently, Kim revealed that it happened during her birthday. “Actually, marami naman siyang ginagawang pakulo e. Like nung araw ng birthday ko, nasa bundok ako, wala akong signal, nagsyu-shooting ako ng The Healing. Tapos pag-uwi ko ng bahay, sa sala may puno ng flowers na heart-shaped. So parang sabi ko sa mga kapatid ko, ‘Kanino naman galing ito?’ Tapos bigla siyang tumawag dahil sinabihan siya ng mga kapatid ko na nasa house na ako. Binigyan niya ako ng red roses, ang dami dami! Siyempre nakakagulat na may puno ng flowers sa sala ng bahay ko,” she cheerfully exclaimed.

Another thing that Push.com.ph discovered is that Xian went straight to Kim’s house when he arrived from the Teleserye Bida Tours in U.S. “Madami [siyang dalang pasalubong para sa akin]. Yung isa nakakagulat, isda galing Alaska. Hahaha! Pagkalapag na pagkalapag niya sa Pilipinas, idinaan niya sa bahay namin. Sabi niya, ‘Labas ka, may ibibigay lang ako. Yung iba nasa maleta ko pa.’ Kasi mapapanis daw yung isda. Oo, kinain ko naman, masarap naman. Siyempre nakakahiya, binyahe pa niya yun mula Alaska papunta ng Pilipinas. So yun, nakakatuwa.”

At the same time, Xian would also send little gifts not only to Kim’s siblings, but even to her house help. “Minsan,’pag walang work dumadalaw siya sa amin. Nagugulat na lang sila maraming dalang food para sa aming lahat. Kunwari milk tea, para sa aming lahat, katulong ko, driver ko. And nagugulat sisters ko. Yung buong bahay namin may party.”

When asked if they’re already exclusively dating, Kim refused to give a direct answer, but she admitted that Xian’s the only guy she’s seeing at the moment. “Hindi naman kailangan ng label,” she shyly stated when the press teased her about it. “Labas labas lang. Kasama ko mga kapatid ko. Mas open ako sa sisters ko. Hindi siya katulad ng dati na secret lang sa mga sisters ko. Ngayon mas nakikilala siya ng mga kapatid ko. Siguro kung ano siya, iba. Siyempre yung ’di ko pa naramdaman dati, yun ang napaparamdam niya. Dahan-dahan [lang].”

What are the qualities she likes best about Xian? “Siyempre yung looks niya, yung pagmamahal niya sa pamilya niya, kung paano niya tratuhin yung tao sa bahay at mga kapatid ko.” Do they approve of Xian as her potential boyfriend? “Maayos naman, konti pa raw,” she beamed.
