Hi guys! I didn't qualify po sa BAPA. Tinawagan na ng dad ko earlier. Hindi raw ako umabot ng grade requirement though mataas naman sa 2.25 yung grade ko. Hindi nga lang ganun kataas. Pero cconfirm ko pa rin sana. Thank you sa encouragements and zurc11, hope you'll do well!

your GWA must be 2.25 or higher then sagutin mo lang yung essay question ng maayos..

During my time (2008 Summer) there was no GWA requirement. And Sir Saguil failed to interview me. Yung co-applicants ko naman pinakanta pa nya ng Broadway songs. Yung hindi napakanta sa interview, binawi naman sa first day ng PA 111 class nya.

Ohh I see sayang naman. We need more qualified and competent public servants pa naman. But you need not join government to do public service because there's the civil society. Anyway, I'm planning to become a policy researcher someday so maybe I will join government for a while to gain some experience. Sharing.

kaitokun, i'm currently an applied psych student at updepp. I really want my course so I chose it over public ad in diliman. tama naman kaya decision ko?

Ohh. Actually, I'm considering Psych for MA pero public ad ako. Public ad kasi is multi-disciplinary so you'll be touching concepts and theories from different academic disciplines. Actually in organizational studies, we discuss psych concepts that involve motivation of public employees. May pagka-technical kasi ang PA as a field.

I think ang maganda sa PA is maraming job opportunities lalo na sa government and civil society tapos yung matututunan mo pa is relevant skills para sa government service. Being a National College, I believe NCPAG offers the best public ad program in the country and one of the best in Asia kaya parang nasasayangan ako.

Ikaw, it's up to you naman eh.

Di naman kailangang maging madaldal! I know a lot of people in NCPAG na di naman madaldal (some of them are even 'rare-talkers'). What's more important is the writing plus analytical skill in applying theories and concepts discussed in real life situations.

Tulad na lang sa PA 142 (Tools in Policy Analysis), you will analyze real-life policy problems using the analytical methods (quantitative and qualitative) to be taught in class.

Memorization? PA 11 and 108 siguro? PA 11 is more on the theorists and their theories na mamememorize mo na lang eventually as you go along dahil these same names will be mentioned over and over sa iba't-ibang courses (like PA 111 - Management of Organizations). Yung PA 108 naman is parang administrative history of the Philippines tapos sa dulo eh parang discussion ng Philippine constitution and government (because you will tackle the different constitutional commissions, executive departments, and other government institutions).
