Did snakes lose their feet only after God condemned them to crawling or He created them without feet because He already knew that they needed to be punished anyway?

The earthworm must have done something worse. They even have to crawl downwards into the soil.

but it doesn't mean that the bronze serpent was not real.

the hidden manna, is also a figure of the Lord Jesus. does that make the manna, fictional?

even persons, such as Adam, is a figure of Christ as the bridegroom to Eve who is the church.

true, that the serpent, is a figure of Satan. but it is also a literal serpent that talked to Eve, which became a dragon in Revelations.

I see, so if it sounds weird, it's figurative
if it's somehow a bit realistic, literal.
Sacred Writing is the inerrant Word of God, and so no error whatsoever can be found on either level of meaning. Also, the spiritual level of meaning is based on the literal/figurative level of meaning, and so both meanings must be true. The truths of the spiritual level cannot be based upon falsehoods in the literal figurative level of meaning. For a truth cannot be founded upon a lie.

Symbols are used on both the literal and the spiritual levels of meaning.

literal/figurative level of meaning: the words indicate truths (literally or figuratively)

spiritual level of meaning: the truths indicated by the words then indicate further truths (also called the indirect level of meaning)

Seemingly errors or as you said weird verses are a misinterpretation based on an overly simplistic view of Scripture. The Church teaches that the Bible is entirely inspired, and therefore entirely inerrant. We believe this teaching based on faith, not based on our own examination of every verse. For we are fallible, but God is infallible. And the Bible is the written Word of God. And also the Sacred Magisterium has the ability and the authority to interpret Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture infallibly.

It is clear that many persons here in ROT deliberately seek passages that they can distort, so as to claim that the Bible is false and unreliable. Such persons have an ill will toward the Bible because they despise its true teachings, and are on their way to destructions.

.....For anyone who believes only what he understands possesses understanding, but not faith.
