After the box-office success of Star Cinema’s Every Breath You Take; another offering, Born To Love You, still taken from a title of a hit song comes our way on Wednesday, May 30, says promo diva Josie Pereyra of JSP Ads & Promotions.
This is the much-awaited team-up of Coco Martin and Star Factor winner Angeline Quinto, her first acting attempt. Coco is said to be her “crush” and she’s so candid to admit, though said in jest, that she enjoyed their kissing scene which was shot in several takes.
Will Coco and Angeline come to Cebu for the promo of the movie? Let’s wait and see. The last time a movie promo was graced with the presence of a cast member was that of Corazon where Derek Ramsay came to town.
That was a couple of months or so ago.
MAY 28, 2012 MONDAY
Lalaking-lalaki. Matipuno. Moreno. Mukhang mabango.
Dumungis man ay lalo pang nakakatuliro.
Coco always delivers, always fulfills his audience’s fantasies.
***
Angeline Quinto is reminiscent of Judy Ann Santos.
She is blessed in many ways.
Magaling kumanta. Marunong umarte. Masarap hangaan.
***
Angeline Quinto shall become a threat to Sarah Geronimo.
After all, we are all born to love.

May aarive ang chemistry nina Coco at Angeline
by Dapat Lang/Pete G. AMpoloquio, Jr. May 28, 2012
No wonder, all out ang Star Cinema sa promo nito na palabas na sa mga sinehan on the 30th of May at may red carpet premiere sa SM Megamall on the 29th.
Anyhow, all indications point to the fact that the movie’s destined to be a winner.
Kaya naman alagang-alaga sila nina Sir Deo Endrinal (thanks so much for remembering us by, Sir Deo) at Sir Biboy Arboleda.
Hahahahahahaha!
‘Yun na!

Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto shine in ‘Born To Love You’
5/31/2012
by: Rhea Manila Santos
Despite the gloomy weather, fans of both Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto trooped to the Born To Love You premiere night at SM Megamall in Ortigas last May 29. Even Coco’s and Angeline’s celebrity friends proved to be just as excited with the event as early birds Paulo Avelino, Melissa Ricks, Vina Morales, Jed Madela, and Julia Montes were among the first to be seated in the theater. The cast of Primetime Bida’s hit fantaserye Aryana—Ella Cruz, Paul Salas, Michelle Vito and David Chua—also showed up at the premiere.
Sam Milby, Robi Domingo, Joem Bascon, and Jason Francisco all arrived solo. Slater Young, Markki Stroem, Kit Thompson, and Carlo Romero elicited some screams from fans while walking down the red carpet.
Coco’s other Walang Hanggan co-stars also showed their support for him at the premiere. Dawn Zulueta was there with husband Anton Lagdameo while Richard Gomez came with his wife, Ormoc congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez.
“The movie is cute. Ito yung movie na gusto mong matawa, gusto mong maiyak, gusto mong ma-in love. Cute yung acting ni Angeline. Gusto ko yung brand ng acting niya. Maraming mga touching moments. Maganda yung scene na nasa riles sila ng tren, magkayakap sila,” said Richard. His wife Lucy also agreed with the novelty of the movie. “I think it was refreshingly funny. Si Coco was his usual cute and adorable character. A very, very nice combination. It was very unpredictable. Akala mo maiiyak then biglang matatawa ka. Para siyang loka-loka. It’s cute. Very cute.”
In Born To Love You, Coco plays the role of Rex, a talented photographer with a sad past. He crosses paths with Joey, an outspoken tourist guide whom he can’t seem to get along with at first. What ensues is a journey of discovery for both of them on what really matters in life.
After a grueling eight months of shooting, Coco admitted he feels fulfilled after watching the outcome of their hard work in Born To Love You. Kumbaga kahit ako bilang artista na ako mismo yung gumaganap, kinikilig ako and then nakaka-inspired, nakaka-in love. Kaya sabi ko sulit talaga,” he shared.
Angeline, on the other hand, admitted that she had premiere night jitters.

MOVIE REVIEW: Born To Love You (StarCinema)
That is one line that caught me last night at the Celebrity Red Carpet Premiere of Born To Love You. A line by Coco Martin that everyone needs to hear on the movie. A tour guide who dreams of becoming a singer meets a struggling photographer. After a rocky start, the two begin to fall in love and find happiness in each other. But their issues threaten to tear them apart.
Star cinema’s formula on romantic comedy has been proven through the years, and I would say that Born to Love you has made an impression. “Born to Love You” is a romantic comedy about poor lass, portrayed by Angeline Quinto, who tries her best to provide the needs of her siblings by joining singing contests. In one of the singing contests she joined in, she met Martin’s character who is a photographer. The two then found themselves falling in love with each other.
Conflicts, however, start when the characters of Angeline Quinto and Coco Martin’s love affair has somehow hindered Angeline Quinto in providing for her family and with Coco Martin’s issues in his family. It’s one of the promising romantic movie that you wouldn’t miss to watch!
MTRCB: PG13
Cinema Evaluation Board: GRADE B:
CAST: Albert Martinez, Eula Valdez, Al Tantay, Tonton Gutierrez, Malou De Guzman, Kiray Celis, Jojit Lorenzo, Eda Nolan, Mickey Ferriols, Amy Nobleza, Louise Abuel, Ryan Bang, Ku Aquino, David Chua, Aloy Noranda, Cris Pasturan, Jenny Kim
Directed by: Jerome Chavez Pobocan
Coco Martin’s performance is stellar. No doubt he is one of the ifnest leading man today. With his versatility and experience, I can imagine how many of us waited for Coco to appear on the big screen, on a big outfit, on a huge commercial film. His character, Rex is different from what he portrays on Television. There’s this scene in the movie that only his facial expression delivered the line.
Angeline Quinto is funny. We all know Angeline is fresh, a starter, a neo fighter. And Happy that Jerome Pobocan invested on Angeline’s “rawness” to make her character effortlessly OK. The lines, her dialogues, as if it were really hers! Let’s give it to her. She’s new to acting but delivered it well. Ten years from now, we will all look at her first project and will say she made a good start.
Seriously? I thought its just another romantic comedy Star Cinema this year. But it made me realized theres a big story behind it. Their characters are not just guy meets girl, girl fell in love, guy has conflict etc etc. The story has roots, it has a heart. at the beginning of the movie, you will ask yourself why this is the opening scene. And then it will reunite you at the end.
Eula Valdez, Albert Martinez and Tonton Guttierez are well applauded in this film. Im happy to see them in this project.
I’m thinking whats not pleasant, I cant think of any. This is a not the first. We have Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo to mention a few. But putting a good story behind it is different. The plot has a continuity concept that will keep you stay. It has a sustaining face.
I am surprise that it is GOOD. The storyline, is our story. Of holding grudges, of letting ourselves free, afraid of falling in love and deciding for oneself. Give all the comic to the film yet there’s a message behind the movie.
My Favorite Scenes were:
1. The Inuman scene.
2. Family praying at dinner and Coco Martin’s expression
3. When Angeline asked Coco something at the end.
4. Establishing shots of Direk Jerome.
5. Albert Martinez and Coco Martin confrontation scene.
Rod Magaru Rate this movie 8 out of 10. congratulations Star Cinema!
