I had Saturday classes for all of fourth year, tas yung 2nd sem was Saturday afternoon pa. Social life, what is that?! Haha

Unfortunately, that isn't limited to JGSOM classes. I had a Monday 6-9 during my senior year. The main reason for classes at these times (and Saturday classes) is actually the availability of the professors/teachers. There are a lot of staff that aren't full time and are only teaching one or two subjects, kaya ganon yung oras. I was in SOSS and I had a 6-9 PM class, 6-7:30 PM class, as well as a Saturday class. I had blockmates who had 7:30-9 PM din.

Asa. Haha! With the amount most of the parents of student body are paying as tution, insulto na sa magulang yung walang pasok pag walang emergency.

That's in general, for your first year at least. Unless you'll be in the batch that gets an afternoon English/Lit class. MWF starts at 7:30. I had blockmates who lived in Alabang and Bulacan and they were always on time pa rin. My friend who lived in Bulacan had to drop off her sisters at St. Mary's before she went to school din, but she didn't ask for her sched to be changed. Sipag at tiyaga lang, haha.

The good thing is, 7/7:30 that's the earliest you can go and if you're lucky, you'll never have to take an early class like that after freshman year. As the years went by, pa-late ng pa-late classes ko, haha. 7:30, tas 9 nung 2nd year, tas by 3rd and 4th year, 11 na earliest class na pinili ko

and regardless kung uso din yan sa Meco.. based from your own experiences sa course nyo and insights from other people, ganu po ba "kadalas" yang evening classes?

like anong years ba sya prevalent, subjects...?
how many times a week and every sem ba nung "years" na yun e meron...

    My schedules for:
    1st year 1st sem:

    Profs: En11 - TUPE, BUENAVIDA A.
    Lit13 - DIZON, GINO

I found this sched balanced and had no big problems. I also signed up for ALAC's (Ateneo Lingua Ars Cultura, an org) language tutorials for Mandarin and Japanese so my Wednesdays were extended till 6pm (grabe 7:30am-6pm ako haha) and my Fridays were extended to 3:30pm.

    2nd sem:

    Profs: En12 - TUPE, BUENAVIDA A.
    Lit14 - BENITEZ, IRENE B.
Ma20 - DE LAS PENAS, MA. LOUISE ANTONETTE N.
    Fil12 - LIM, MARK BENEDICT F.
    PE132 (Tai-Chi) - IRIOLA, RAMIL B.
Bi 9 (Zoology Lecture) - UY, MILLARD M.
Bi 10 (Zoology Lab) - PEREZ, CATHERINE N.

My Intact was moved from Wed to Friday 8:30-9:30. This sched was a bit more difficult. 4-5 hours of classes, no breaks. 7am PE and a 4 hour break. I took up ALAC's Korean tutorial. So depending on our schedules, my Mon, Wed, or Fridays were extended around 2-3 hours.

    2nd year summer sem:

Profs: PSY 101 - SAMACO, MARIA CRISTINA F.
    FIL 14 - LOPEZ, MARCO ANIANO V.

I like this schedule. It gives me enough time to prepare since I wake up really early now. Plus there's enough time between my classes to do homework or sleep or hang at Matteo, and I'm finished by lunch.

I was showing you that there is a possibility of having late or weekend classes regardless of your school or course. Even SOSE students had the random Saturday class. I believe the night and weekend classes happen more often after your freshman year naman, since as a freshie, all your schedules are arranged by your department. As we mentioned, the classes depend on the teacher's availability. I had a 6-7:30 PM class as early as 2nd year, 1st sem.

Pero ito ang totoong uso: you will go to school functions every Saturday morning or afternoon (depends on your sched) on your second and third year It's for NSTP and JEEP.

And if you plan to be active in an org, 4:30-6PM MWF ang usual org events. Don't know if they changed the days though, there were rumors of them removing the 430-6 Friday from the org hour slot the year I graduated.

My first year scheds would be the most useful for you, but since I didn't upload them online..

1st year, 1st sem. All classes were blocked and we were only asked to picked out which Natsci class we'd be in--all NatSci classes were at the same time.

My 2nd sem sched is more or less the same, with the exception of Ma12. Instead of early in the morning, I took it right after Fil..

Here's 1st sem, 3rd year. 5 HOUR BREAK ARGH. This one though, I choose everything na. These were subjects I had to take for the sem, but the schedule was up to me (and my random number).

Napansin ko lang, nakakatawa yung mga classroom sa mga sched na pinopost ko Do people still have classes in Com Dept now? And in Belarmine?

Finally, 4th year 2nd sem. Ang taong tamad, sa hapon bumabangon!

A lot of people say it's a "useless" class. I don't think so. Although medyo nakakainis na 7:30 INTAC ko last year :/

ako rin, I don't agree that it's a "useless" class.
admittedly, I don't remember half the things that was said in the class, I do remember the camaraderie our block built--not just with each other, but with our facilitators as well.

nakakatuwa nga, on our last INTACT class, isa lang sa dalawang facilitators ang dumating. Sabi niya, hindi daw kami sa classroom for our last class. Dinala niya kami sa field kung saan naghihintay 'yung other faci namin with a picnic. Nagdala sila ng cake and stuff, tapos nagkuwentuhan/kulitan na lang kami. Ang saya nun

  13. #33
Ang saya!! Last INTACT class ko sa classroom lang haha. Pero we do activities and games para mag-bond kami and nag-bond nga kami. Even until now na nag-shift ako, close pa rin ako sa former block ko.

  14. #34
Yup, hindi sya "useless" class, marami din naman mapupulot sa Intact at mas magiging close ka sa block mo . Naalala ko yung last intact "class" namin, dinner sa katips tapos Cantina after )
