    Pre work out supplement: Jacked

Has anyone tried this? It's a pre workout supplement thats supposed to give you energy for your workout.

I tried half a dose yesterday and it did make me feel energized. Too energized actually so that I didn't sleep until 2am.

I am asking because I usually go to the gym after work. Some days it feels like i hardly have energy to go. It was helpful yesterday and I was thinking of continuing it. But I'd like to ask for feedback from people who have actually used it regularly. Are there any long term side effects? Also, could you build a tolerance against it?

    Thanks.

^ I havent tried jack3d(but have an unoponed one).

In my limited experience, you'll build tolerance in a few weeks.

I've tried cellucor c4 and neurocore. Both are great, but I'll use them periodically from now on. I'll use my jack3d when I'm stalling with my lifts, to give me an extra boost.

Thanks. I will look those other ones up. How is the taste though for the other ones? Jack3d tastes fine. It's not something that i'll crave for but it's acceptable.

Btw, i don't lift much. I'm a girl and not looking to bulk up. This is more of to provide an energy boost for a good workout session after work.

I use it. It's ok. The Lemon Lime flavor tastes great, Tropical Punch tastes terrible.

I take the max dose (3 scoops). Don't do this unless you have a strong tolerance to stimulants.

when taking nitric oxides, limit or avoid caffeinated beverages like coffee or other energy drinks, as this may lessen the effect of nitric oxides.

take it earlier in the day, not late afternoon (6pm onwards) to avoid sleepless nights. if you workout late, just take half scoop or less.

You guys should stop using pre-workout supplements. It may do you more harm than good. If you are looking for an energy booster, there is a tried and tested natural way to turbo boost your energy level during workouts. Eat spaghetti (a low GI food) 3 hours before you workout. Eat loads of it, about 20-30% of your daily caloric intake. If 2,000 calories is your daily limit, eat around 400-600 calories of it, with all the sauce and the ground chicken meat. You can eat it only on workout days to give you the needed boost.

You'll feel the power when you lift or run.

not practical, so if im gonna work out everyday, im gonna eat spaghetti everyday...

yes it can cause harm if and only you don't know how to use it, anything that is abuse/overdosing is dangerous to your health.

I only cook the spaghetti sauce once a week and store it in the ref. That leaves me boiling the pasta only which takes 10mins. After that, I heat it up the sauce and add the pasta. All done in 15mins.
    I only do this 3-4x a week.

By the way, do you really need to work out daily? The body needs to rest, recuperate, repair, and grow. You don't grow muscles in the gym. You grow it while resting.

Most of the buyers are noobs and most don't read much of the label or don't understand it. Most don't do research on the product and what other users have to say. They just take it like some popeye munching on spinach and expect to get instant power.

Take it at your own risk. But, I'm not going to consume chemical concoctions mixed in a chemistry lab and put in my body just to get the energy in which pasta can do a lot better without any dangerous side effect. I can get all the nutrients and energy I need naturally from foods I prepare. Its all a matter of educating yourself.

I save money from all the marketing b.s.

Yeah the FDA issued a warning for a bunch of pre-WO supps, Jack3d included, that had DMAA in the ingredients.

Not going to stop using it, but you gotta be aware of the risks.

Jack3d can give you a positive result in drug tests. Beware

    Here's the FDA warning:

The Food and Drug Administration on Friday questioned the safety of DMAA, a stimulant used in dietary supplements, alleging that marketers were illegally selling the chemical.

Popular with fitness buffs seeking an edge or weight loss, the brands include Napalm, Code Red, Hemo Rage Black, Nitric Blast and Jack3D.

The FDA said it issued warning letters to 10 manufacturers and distributors of dietary supplements containing the ingredient for failing to submit evidence of the safety of their products.

"Before marketing products containing DMAA, manufacturers and distributors have a responsibility under the law to provide evidence of the safety of their products. They haven't done that and that makes the products adulterated," said Daniel Fabricant, director of the FDA's Dietary Supplement Program.

In the warning letters, the FDA also said it was not aware of evidence or history of use to indicate that DMAA is safe.

Dimethylamylamine, also referred to as "geranium extract," is often touted as a "natural" stimulant, the FDA said.

"The agency additionally warned the companies that synthetically produced DMAA is not a 'dietary ingredient' and, therefore, is not eligible to be used as an active ingredient in a dietary supplement," the agency said.

The FDA letters raised concerns that DMAA is known to narrow blood vessels and arteries, which can lead to shortness of breath and heart attack.

The federal agency said it had received 42 adverse reports on products containing DMAA, including psychiatric disorders and death.

If DMAA is the problem in pre-workout supplements, are there good pre-workout supplements that are DMAA-free?

White Flood by Controlled Labs. Meron nito sa Anselka.

As far as I know the people that died/got sick from DMAA were using either party drugs (DMAA is an ingredient in some "herbal Ecstasy" pills) or HUGE doses of these pre-workout supps (some long-distance truckers needing to stay awake).

So I tried my Jack3d for the first time, one scoop lang as suggested for the first few times you take the product. Didn't give me the energy I was expecting ...but to be fair, I've tried other preworkout supps before, hence my tolerance. And for the guys out there, I still had no trouble maintaining an erection even after taking Jack3d.(some guys say it affects their erection...crossing my fingers that it doesn't after continuous use...if it does, itatapon ko nalang lol).

In terms of the first time "WOW I have the power!' feeling, I'd rate Neurocore then C4 before Jack3d. Among the 3 though, I'd go for C4 Cellucor because it gives a longer sustained energy.

Next maybe I'll try Amino Energy. Hmmm.

I was told that if I do decide to use jack3d, it has to be before a workout and that it's not a tool for staying awake.
