Fond of Martial Arts.

Hello there. This is actually my first post.

I just want to ask something. I've always wanted to learn some form of self-defense like martial arts, but too many things got in the way and before I knew it, I'm old and round now. Haha. But I would still like to learn, it's one of the things in my bucket list, sort of a to-do list before I kick the bucket. Pun intended.

Anyhoo, what can you recommend since you all seem to have been doing this for quite a long time now. To give you an idea, I'm a round missus with uncoordinated arms and legs. Lol. I am currently staying in the novaliches-fairview area and would like to go to a school that's not expensive. I would also like to see members who are not just there to show off or get a date (I've seen this on too many sports establishments and, quite frankly, I'm getting tired of it.) Some instructors I've seen were so apathetic with their clients, so I'm hoping to find someone who would really inspire me to progress no matter how many times I blunder. I am not agile, not by a long shot, so it will be a challenge for him or her.

Any recommendation will be much appreciated.

I think, there's an Arnis/Escrima/Kali Clubs in Quezon City Circle every Sunday. We have a branch in Quezon City Circle every Sunday but I'm not sure about their schedule, I'll ask our "Guro" this Sunday, but I'm sure it's not that expensive. There's also an Kali Club in UP every Sunday. And there's a Shorinji Kempo near Quezon Ave, they have training every Tuesday and Friday, 50 php per session. I'll pm you their links

Last time I inquired, they teach outsiders(not part of Philippine & training team)
every saturday but you can also train with the Judoka on a weekday basis but if you're a beginner. goodluck
