Besides, you don't normally build structures with the purpose of creating a heritage building in mind. Your descendants will decide what becomes heritage buildings.
They don't give much of a hoot with heritage buildings. So? We do. We are citizens of this republic as well. We are very much entitled to our own opinion, and it is in our opinion that there has to be balance between city preservation and mall construction.

Anyway, it cannot be helped. Some old sites will have to go in the name of capitalism and modernization. Sana na lang time will not come when we have moved the nation out of poverty only to find out that the things that remind us about our country's past are long gone.
