Hypocrisy???
LOL. The reason why I'm pointing out OUR INJURIES because THAT'S YOUR ONLY CLAIM TO WHY THE NETS SUCKED THIS YEAR.
So kayo lang pwede mag reason ng injuries? A HUGE LOL.
What I was PINNING since I posted is that INJURIES don't just f.u.c.k you up. It f.u.c.k.s everyone up.
I'm giving out excuses because all you guys kept giving me were EXCUSES. It's not called HYPOCRISY, it's called having a conversation with people who's doing the exact same thing..
I'm not worried at all. The Knicks are going to be a championship contender; imo, we already are. We have the pieces. While you guys are still dreaming of the pieces.
Talk to me when you get Dwight, Deron, Wallace, Kirilenko, Odom, Durant or whoever else you guys are fantasizing about.
AND WHEN YOU GUYS DO... That's when people can take you seriously. For now, saying that the NETS > KNICKS is nothing but pure c0ckiness.
You basically baited me into this, just so you know.
Knicks? Championship contender? Oh my golly.Kung eto lang din ang mababasa ko, might as well not retort to this nonsense discussion were having.
And do you think the people are taking the Knicks seriously? Only their fans take them seriously. When one of your star players blames a fire extinguisher for a loss, no one will take that team seriously.
LOKOHAN NA PALA DITO.
P.S. Hey, asaran lang 'to ah. Healthy rivalry between the Nets and the Knicks.![]()
They expected to be a championship contender, but things happened. Now that the season is done, hopefully we can turn those expectations to reality.
No one takes the Knicks seriously? LOL, are you serious? The Top 3 teams in the East wanted no part of the Knicks in the 1st round. They knew that the Knicks were coming in as a lower seed, but definitely better than their record. BUT AGAIN, before you attack with your rationale; SHUMPERT WENT DOWN, so did our hopes and chances (We already had no Lin).
No one takes the Knicks seriously? Sure, maybe from 2002-2009. Since 2010, the Knicks were brought back to the map by the man who stupidly hit a fire extinguisher case. The NETS ON THE OTHER HAND???
Who the hell cares about the NETS? If anything, no one takes the Nets seriously. Every FREE AGENT laughed at the idea of signing with the Nets.
SNUBBED BY EVERY MAJOR FA in 2010.
Only the great Jordan Farmar and Johan Petro bothered inking with the NETS.
Y'all can talk about Brooklyn, but the KNICKS still own New York.. Playing in the World's Most Famous Arena, THE MECCA; Madison Square Garden. Until proven otherwise, your claims hold NO BEARING
Yeah sure, rivalry... You can look at it as a Rivalry if you want. I don't... The only RIVALRY we have is with Boston, Chicago, Miami, Indiana, and in some ways ATL. (no sarcasm, wala pang rivalry na legit ang Knicks-Nets)
We'll see.
I suddenly realized. Lebroom doesn't like people who think like him.
Dude, even if you don't want to admit it, these Nets fans think like you. Very positive when it comes to their team and sometimes make statements who other... more well grounded people giggle at.
I'd like to see some links or something about people think that the Knicks are a dangerous bunch before the playoffs started. To be honest, I think you (along with the Knicks fans) were the only ones who thought they have an outside chance against the likes of Chicago/Miami.
Injuries were one thing but the chemistry of Melo & Amare was very much in the spotlight for NY. They weren't blending well. I'm not sure if you are man enough to even admit that.
Jeremy Lin injured? Lin was awesome when Melo wasn't around. When Melo went back they turned to a below .500 team until Lin himself got injured. They played about 15-20 games together.
Knicks were better when Melo was the only clear star in the team. Sad really. It's really hard to build around Melo. He iso's so much and was very ineffective this season shooting wise that his main strength was pretty much gone. We can make excuses about training camp or not being with them for a long time but Melo's game clearly can't win playoffs series unless something drastic is changed.
^
Then you didn't use your intellect harder. What you realized is wrong... What I don't like is someone running around this forum with a NETS > Knicks avatar name, and keeps inserting that thought in every thread I saw when I came back from my hiatus. Get it?
As for the links? There's no ARTICLE saying "Wade and LBJ said Knicks can beat them" or anything like that. What existed though where articles saying that these teams know that the Knicks can give them the toughest challenge among the lower seeds. The Knicks toyed with the Pacers this season. We beat the Bulls. We got mauled by the HEAT. But still, they knew the Knicks were capable of fighting. They got interviewed too but I don't know the exact quotes and I don't necessarily bookmark those articles lol.
About Jeremy Lin and Melo not co-existing. Maybe in D'antoni's system. Is he still our coach? YEAH, THOUGHT SO.
You kinda SKIPPED the part where we changed Head Coaches. Intentional?
Do you even know our record with Woodson as HC and Lin-Melo-Amar'e playing together?
And again, you're saying that Melo was ineffective... Sure, if your wrist is injured and was nagged with groin injuries for majority of the season + all the drama that happened, I understand why Melo wasn't Melo.
But when Woodson took over, Melo was averaging 30 on 50% fg and 48% 3pt. Dominated the last 2 months of the season, won player of the Month. How about that part? Oh yes, let's skip that too and look at Melo at his lowest point.
Okay, Melo won't win in the playoffs. Knicks are doomed for eternity. Jesus, just say it that you don't want the Knicks to taste any success. Cause basically if y'all claim Melo can't win, then that means the Knicks won't go anywhere. Which means another decade of sucking.
You will never understand why I defend this team like I do. You never felt what its like to suck for a decade and JUST WHEN WE'RE GETTING SOME LIGHT, GETTING SOME STARS, people still put us down.
Once Deron Williams ink that new contract with the Nets, he will be the Nets' version of Amar'e. And he will do far better things for the Nets than hitting a fire extinguishier.
No one took the Nets seriously? Well, if we're to based on how these two teams fared in the past decaded, I'd boldly declare that the Nets were taken more seriously than the Knicks. How about Jason Kidd? We acquired him in a trade, surrounded him with ROLE PLAYERS (not another superstar) and he led the Nets to two straight NBA Finals and numerous playoffs appearance. And we managed to win a playoff series with only him as our legit superstar. How about your Knicks? Haven't won a playoff series since what? Even I don't remember!
No one said that the Nets ALREADY owns the New York. They haven't even played one game in Brooklyn. Are you being too scared of seeing the foreseeable future?![]()
^ Even though you have so much faith about your Knicks, you've got to admit that they are NOT YET a title contender. Come on. It's not like the Nets are better than them already if you admit that.
Nasaktan ka pala sa Nets > Knicks avatar ko. Sige na nga, I'll change it na.![]()
They say I contradict myself too much, but you did it more than I could ever remember me doing.
No one said Nets owns NY? WTF is your sig all about then?
It's funny, you guys are so giddy and excited to be in New York, and you're trying to fit in. Like an adopted child.
You're still the Nets. Napaliguan lang at nabihisan ang yayabang na.Moving to Brooklyn won't change anything.
I'm not scared of anything... I don't even fear the HEAT then why would I fear Farmar and company as they march to another losing season next year?![]()
Di ako nasaktan, NATATAWA NGA AKO EH. Maybe you should've thought about the attitude you tried to put on. Masyado ka naging excited. Funny, nagyayabang na kayo wala pa nga kayong bala. For a sucky team for a few years, you guys should know a thing or two about humility.
Tapos magtataka ka/kayo bakit ganito posts ko? Again, sino nauna?![]()
BTW, last time we made the Finals was in 1999, last playoff series win was in '01. We sucked from 02-2010. We were pretty relevant and made the Finals when Jordan was out (LOL). I dunno wtf the NETS were up to during that time...
Let's go back the time machine some more? We won 2 championships in the 70's. The Bernard King led Knicks were a winning team as well (though couldn't get past the C's). The Nets? Yup... ABA championship LOL. The only times you guys were relevant was when Kidd got there and he led you twice to the Finals. Again, re-examine your team history before being so c0cky.
If LOLOLOL (a Lakers fan) attacked me with claims of success, I'd accept it because the Lakers are definitely the best franchise in all of the NBA through the years. But all of these cheap jabs coming from a NETS FAN? Please...
Again.. these guys are like you. They are overly positive with their team. For example, when people say Knicks can't beat Miami you'll reply with something like.. "ARE YOU FRKIN NOSTRADAMUS TO SAY THAT?" If there is a 15% chance to win against someone.. that's something they'd think it is still very possible.
Toughest challenge is very relative. Toughest challenge can still be easy given the choices. If faced with a healthy Miami, there was a very minute chance they were getting out there winning the series. You beat the Bulls ONCE this season and it was a single point separating the teams. Pacers are not considered contenders.
Did you know who were the teams you were beating during that streak? The only worthwhile team was Indiana. The rest were lottery bound teams or playoff fodders. So that makes the Knicks just a little bit better than a playoff fodder.
Be consistent. When talking about Melo before during his dismal season the excuse you were saying was that he wasn't himself. He was missing the shots he normally made. Then now you pull the injury card?Bottomline, he was hogging the ball and was plainly ineffective shooting it. That last month you mentioned about Melo beasting was when Lin and Amare were already out. As I have said, Melo is at his best when there is no other guy who is a reliable scorer and almost all the plays are for him.
Love it when you get all so emotional and you finish your piece with rehashed story about sucking for a decade, getting your Melo, the love of your life as your franchise guy.You completely forgot the part that I'm saying the Knicks are bound to lose (or don't win a championship) if Melo as a player didn't change his style and he doesn't adjust with his teammates which he still hasn't proved... yet.
If I say the Nets > Knicks, is it already saying that the Nets owns the New York? LOL You're overthinking too much. Really.
So what if were just an adopted child? At least, this team will be a better version of the New York's team that svcked for so long.
You're bragging achievements the Knicks had when your parents were still teenagers. At least I bragged something when I'm already a fan. Ikaw ba? Anything to brag about your Knicks SINCE YOU STARTED TO BE A FAN? Oh well, that Finals appearance against the Spurs in a shortened season. If there's an asterisk championship, I can say that that achievement has an asterisk on it too.
I don't care about the history of the Nets. Whether it was mired by mediocrity and uneventful happenings. What I care about is now. How we will steal the spotlight from the so-called 'New York's team'.
Mahirap pala kausap si LeBroom. Magiging kaugali mo pag lumaon.Just to be clear, I'm not in the same level of fanboyism than LeBroom. I don't overdo things and do anything just to gain the Nets respect.
Ibang level 'yung kay LeBroom eh.
P.S. LeBroom, hindi mo parin binabawi 'yung championship contender tag mo sa Knicks. Still dreaming? Come on. Just this time, be a fan who thinks real, not like you're in Dream Land.![]()

This thread has become LeBroom's bragging-for-nothing place. Just to cut the crap..
Billy K has already talked with Bojan Bogdanovic. If he's ready to play in the NBA, he will be a great pickup. Great shooter.
The BIG change will happen once and if Deron re-signs. And I'm still confident about it. I think the Nets' first year in Brooklyn will be something.
I'm sorry talunan08. Unfortunately, as updated as I am with the Knicks and the NBA happenings, Melo's wrist injury was not disclosed to the media at first. But even if you feel like searching, Melo was playing with a wrist injury and the groin injuries are actually well documented. He missed some games because of it.
Also, another reason why Melo wasn't Melo is something I don't really want to admit. I'm not entirely sure if those conspiracy theories are true. But it seems to have legs. But I don't wanna talk about it because I don't want to judge Melo (claims that he didn't play hard for Mike D and he didn't buy into the system).
Melo is at his best when he has a play maker with him. A real point guard. Remember Andre Miller? Melo was a beast with Miller running the point. We just need some continuity here. Melo can win. All he needs to do is keep playing his game, and play harder defense. He's already playing well on D, just need to amp it up some more to shut the critics up.
Anyway... I'm done talking about the Nets. This won't go anywhere.
Congrats for baiting me Nets Fan. You succeeded. I'll just let my Knicks do the talking and destroy the Nets. New York's team my @ss. I can still smell the stench from the other side of the river.
Can't wait for next season!

(Last banat)
Kid, in the NBA, teams have cycles. Not every team is on top forever. Some are lucky, like the Lakers and Celtics who only had to suffer for a short time and then get back to their winning ways. Don't ever discount the Knicks' success because no matter how you twist it or turn it, the Knicks have been more successful than the Nets. Nagkataon lang na when the Knicks were down (02-10) you guys had a mini run.. For what? 5 years... ok man. Good luck with that.
You clearly don't understand the NBA if you're laughing at me for bringing up the Knicks' success. We only faltered in for 8 straight years... Don't get too c0cky just cause Kidd brought you to the Finals twice.
---------------
I'm done.. Good luck!
You keep on mentioning the past. I concede that the Knicks has a better history than the Nets.
I don't care about that. Why? Because the Nets were still in NJ back then. What I care about is NOW. The Nets are in Brooklyn NOW. And we're out to compete and WIN. And if we're lucky enough to build a great team and win, that's when what I'm saying that the Brooklyn Nets WILL be New York's team.
Good luck to your Knicks as well. May the best New York team wins.![]()
