It's just new to the eyes of some fans, either of the Nets or different NBA team. But I'm pretty sure it will be a hit as time passes by.

All the Brooklyn Nets merchandise right now looks fresh and great! Gotta love the black and white color scheme.

Design-wise, NJ's version was a bit better, but impact-wise, I think this black and white Brooklyn Nets will be a hit.

Meron nga daw taga Australia na namakyaw ng merchandise. Para daw maipagmalaki niya sa Australia na meron siya Brooklyn Nets merchandise.

    Global brand, baby!

Now that the Mavs have been eliminated, I hope D-Will realizes that they're on the way down.

It's time to commit yourself to the Nets and be a part of something big!

    I definitely agree.

Nets has a better roster than Dallas right now. Dirk is declining. And Cuban will rely on free agency to build a new team in Dallas.

Brooklyn is just more enticing right now. Can't see any other reason for D-Will to sign with Dallas aside from the fact that it's his hometown.

The Mavs need a complete overhaul. You have one aging player and you need to surround him with great players.

On the other hand, ang kelangan lang ng Nets eh one or two pieces to make the team complete. Puro mga bata pa.

The only way that I see D-Will signing for the Mavs eh kapag na-lure nila si Howard. Let's face it, maski aging na si Dirk, malakas yung Dirk-Howard-Williams combo.

But then again, Williams and Howard can do that in a bigger market with younger players.

  7. #27
^ Plus, Howard reiterated that he wants to play in a big time city. Brooklyn is that city.

  8. #28
Ang problema lang kay Howard ayaw niya maging "bad guy" like LeBron. I really think eto yung reason kung bakit hindi siya umalis ng ORL. Natakot siya na maging hate siya ng buong NBA lalo na ng mga Magic fans.

Of course, that can change sa offseason.

Nets has a better roster than the Mavs? Yet the Nets, WITH DERON WILLIAMS, mind you... didn't even come close to sniffing the playoffs?

Mavs had a good record; though got swept; STILL MADE the playoffs in a tougher conference.

    Please tell me two things:

1.) How come the Nets roster is much better than Dallas?

2.) Why are the Nets > Knicks again? enlighten me.

^ Nets was the most injured team this season. They also had the most number of different starting five this season. Brook Lopez only played five games this season. They also forced Lopez and Farmar to skip the remaining games of the Nets even if they are already suitable to play, same with D-Will in the last 4-5 games of the season.

Yet, they managed to win 22 games, compared to the Knicks and Mavs who were only 14 wins higher than the Nets' number of wins. What if they where a bit healthier?

I just saw this Tweet a few day ago...it was opinion about the Nets' new logo

I'm sorry. But my blind dog has seen much better!

What if Lin didn't get injured?
What if Baron Davis was healthy all season long?
What if Jeffries didn't get injured the whole season? (We only have 1 loss when Jeffries attempts at least 5 FGs, funniest stat ever HAHA)
What if Amar'e and Melo were healthy all season long (Melo was playing hurt with an injured left wrist and nagging groin injuries)?
What if Tyson Chandler wasn't playing with a GODDAMN FRACTURE IN HIS LEFT HAND since January/February?
What if Mike D'antoni got ax'd earlier?

    So many what ifs...

Do you get where I'm going at? At the end of the day, anyone can make excuses. I CAN. These claims are true; and so are yours. But whatever happens, the end result remains.

What the Nets accomplished this season, is what they are. Every team suffers from injuries, and a plethora of other problems.

Also, in this condensed season "just 14 wins" is a huge understatement. Face it, Nets weren't good this season. Getting Gerald Wallace didn't change anything.

Next season, they are in the same exact position they were in 2010. If Deron leaves, what's next? You sign Jeremy Lin from the Knicks? What if Dwight doesn't want to come anymore?

Who do you build around with? You're not getting Anthony Davis right (not sure about your 1st round pick)?

How are you SO CERTAIN, that the Nets will be BETTER than the Knicks and the Mavs next season? Though your Avatar mentions Nets > Knicks; the Mavs should be in the conversation as well, because you basically said that the Nets have a better roster than them; hence D-Will not picking them over the Nets.

  13. #33
Oops, yeah. Forget about the part where Deron Williams won't sign. He's Brooklyn bound.

    Williams
    Brooks
    AK47
    Humphries
    Lopez

Looks good... now if a Healthy Dwight Howard is inserted at the C instead of Lopez; then that's a strong line-up. Will give the Knicks a run for their money. But Melo Time will prevail.

I get your point. You simply ask for a reason, I gave you my answer. I know that injuries is a common problem to any team, in any sports. I just pointed out that the Nets was the MOST injured team last season. I think there's no one in that team who has played all 66 games. That's how bad the Nets' luck were. Well, it has always been like that since forever.

I am very confident that Deron will stay with the Nets than leave for the Mavs. Dallas has nothing to offer except a declining Dirk and being Deron's hometown. Can you tell me what they have to offer to Deron that will surely entice him to Dallas?

Once Deron signs, the move towards the Nets > Knicks statements will start. I'm not posting my wild guesses on how it will be, but I assure you that it will be a worthwhile rivalry in New York in the near future.

Nets > Mavs? Nah, no rivalry. Nets > Knicks. That's where the rivalry is.

  15. #35
I'd admit that the Knicks is better than the Nets this season, but only because they have a "Big Three". But then again, I'm not that envious of you getting booted out of the first round.

I'd also admit that the Mavs has a better lineup than the Nets right now, but if you're someone like Deron, you'd have to think about the future. Especially since that the Nets are showing signs of signing the right pieces. Unless of course, Dallas attracts pieces that can contend for the chip next season (insert Howard).

I've said this before and I'll say this again. I'm confident that Deron will resign with the Nets, but only if King gets to work. If Cuban somehow lures Howard to the Mavs, then Deron might sign with the Mavs.

Do I care? No, not really. We have a bunch of young and good guys. I also don't want to give up too much for Howard so I don't really care anymore if he signs with us or not.

Melo time? I can't believe you're still getting excited over that. Haha!

Re: our first round pick, we have a 7% chance of landing Davis and a 25% chance of keeping our top 3 pick. Not bad.

  16. #36
Of course I'm still excited with Melo. I've been a Melo fan since 2002. Knicks since 1999. When we got Melo, it was like a dream come true

I'm never gonna get tired of Melo Time, because I believe he's gonna lead the Knicks to the Promised Land one day. Maybe not next year, or the next... but before he retires, we're gonna win one.

As for "getting booted out of the first round"... Sorry, but that's the lamest (not you in particular) reasoning I've heard. I've seen a lot of people say "Meh, we'd rather not make the playoffs than lose in the 1st round". I find that RIDICULOUS, to be honest. Believe me, I know what it feels like to SUCK, Isiah era, till 2008, the Knicks were NOTHING. And believe me it feels much better to see your team winning regular season games and making it in the playoffs... Watching your Superstar drop 42 on the Celtics and almost beating them 5 on 1, even with the refs helped, nearly beat the Celtics twice.. That's what the playoffs is all about.

AM I STILL EXCITED ABOUT MELO? Obviously. Y'all wanted him last season anyway.

  17. #37
WTF! I wrote a long-a$$ reply and I must've clicked the wrong button.

To summarize what I wrote - I never said anything about not wanting to be in the playoffs, only to be booted in the first round. With our present lineup, I would have loved to be in that position. But in your position with your supposed Big Three? I don't envy that. If I was a Knicks fan, I would feel that the team underachieved.

For now, I'd rather that we take it slow and find the right pieces. We may suck for a year or two, but I'm hoping that we'd contend for a chip by then and not just be an 8th seeder for the years to come. With our current financial flexibility, that's not far from happening. I'm not sure if the Knicks have any flexibility to speak of in the first place.

The Nets have been in the playoffs and I know how it feels to be a fan. I also know how it feels to have a lineup that's not good enough to win it all. I don't want to be held hostage by a Big 3 who can't even get out of the first round. Again, I don't envy you.

On that note, I don't want to trade Brook AND Brooks for Dwight.

  18. #38
You make it seem like its such a horrible thing to be a Knicks fan or be part of that organization.

Held hostage by a Big 3 that can't even get out of the first round...

First of all, we weren't healthy ALL SEASON LONG. Without Lin and Shumpert in the playoffs, we KNEW we had no chance to advance against the HEAT.

Melo and Tyson can lead this team. I don't care about Amar'e too much at this point. We can get rid of him next season if he still under-performs. Yes, we underachieved, but it was because of INJURIES.

I'm not yet giving up hope on Amar'e; but this is his last chance.

The Knicks have $11m to spend next season if we don't re-sign Lin and Fields. But we will keep Lin, and Fields can go if he commands too much. We don't have as much flexibility as the Nets, but we aren't out of moves.

I also don't ENVY the Nets. Right now, all you guys have are dreams. Same as what you had in 2010. You got SHUT OUT by all the Free Agents. What makes you all so confident that you can get Deron, Dwight, and other superstars... just cause you're going to Brooklyn?

All this Nets > Knicks talk is NONSENSE at this point. But hey, it's free to dream.

Fans are just fond of colorful logos. Pag tumagal-tagal, magmumukhang astigin din 'yan sa paningin ninyo.

Imagine IF the Nets make it to the playoffs. If the Heat has this WHITEOUT thingy, the Nets has its own, BLACKOUT.

You downplayed my reason about the Nets > Knicks statement I made, which is INJURIES. Yet, you used the same reason on why your Knicks underachieved? Hypocrisy at its finest.

    I'll quote your own post:

Underachieved? Nah. If we base it on what you said, what the Knicks showed this season is WHAT THEY ARE. And it's not like you missed your TOP post scorer for 61 games. We played with virtually no big man the whole season, with Kris Humphries as our only legit big man who can score only 10-12 PPG.

The Nets team back in 2010 had no direction. Even with a complete lineup, they won't even stand a chance of making it to the playoffs. But the current roster we have, with all the flexibility and allure of Brooklyn. Thus, Nets fans deserve to dream, dream BIG.

I'd rather dream BIG right now than get stuck as a playoff contender, NOT a championship contender. Billy King will build this team into a title contender. It will start with Deron Williams, which is, IMO, 80% sure of staying in Brooklyn.

Quote this post. Next season, the Nets organization will give the Knicks a run for their money. It's going to be an all-out war in New York.
