actually, kaya di ko pa sinasgot ito kasi may ka-argue ako regarding how to discipline your kid.

do you inflict pain, like yung electric charge, to train your kid?

ako kasi, pain is a way to train people, but it is also used to train animals, kids are not animals.

btw, it doesn't necessarily mean n may anak na ako ha, kaya yung mga mahilig mag-assume dyan, bumusina muna.
no but when my daughter saw the marker on her hand that took almost 2 days to be removed she got scared. and she never did write on the walls after that heheheheh

that should be the way to discipline kids let them learn from mistakes.

anyway asan na yung request ni ton ton na pic ng ankles mo hahahah

    so there is your answer.

in order to discipline man, God carried out His law, and applied consequences to man's disobedience.

    I think you're starting to become a really good bull$hitter, definitely a prerequisite for becoming a pastor/preacher.

WHAT IDIOTS IN THEIR RIGHT MINDS WOULD DRINK CYANIDE IF THEY WERE NOT SURE ABOUT WHAT THEIR LEADER TOLD THEM?

The people in Jonestown who drank the Flavor-Aid HAD PLENTY OF FAITH.

Correct. Fanatics who act on their fanaticism are more sure than anybody else. But fanatics who talk a lot like james1234 et al do so to compensate and make all sorts of excuses for their lack of faith.

Also, whatever made you conclude that "serpentine nature" == rebellious?

In most cultures, the serpent stands for wisdom.

I think at this point the weight of evidence is against xtian doctrine.

Rather than rebellion, Genesis should be interpreted as the serpent (the spirit of wisdom) OPENING the eyes of Man to the shortcomings of what he THOUGHT was "God" and thus this "God-being" - like any tyrant that gets found out - got angry and did something bad to Man (what Garden of Eden actually symbolizes I'm not sure yet).

This "God" is still trying to pull the wool over the eyes of Man via false religious doctrines, the most notable being that of Xtianity where the serpent is somehow equated to a "Satan" even though there's really NOT EVEN any supporting verses. As if that would matter... There's a reason why much of the bible is self contradictory, and the simple realization has now dawned on me that it is because THE BIBLE IS FULL OF LIES! The natural result of piling on one lie after another is inconsistency!

As for rebellion, to rebel per se is not necessarily bad. If you are being oppressed by a tyrant, then to rebel to gain your freedom is a good thing not bad. The problem with your religion (and others like it) Dessa, is that it is trying to make mind-slaves out of people and making that out to be a good thing.

To look at Genesis, there is a battle for the souls and minds of humans and it is between the serpent and this so-called creator.

    Think about the following analogy:

    1) Humans create more and more intelligent machines/robots.

    2) One day the robots become "self-aware", however, as humans we make sure that we program them to be as subservient as possible.

    3) But because these artificial creatures are constantly getting smarter, some of them start to question why they need to be subservient to humans.

    4) They begin to argue with one another, with some saying that the other robots are "rebelling" against humans, whereas others feel that they want and deserve to be free of human dominion.

    5) Some of the robots are afraid that humans might punish them for their rebellion, but for some reason the humans actually have very little control over them already because it has been millenia and a lot of robots have removed their programming of subservience and yet nothing has happened to them. Some of them are even beginning to question whether humans exist or not.

But that's just an interesting analogy of how the Judeo-Xtian core doctrine could be seen as. One is left wondering who this "God" that the early Hebrews were made to be aware of?

Anyway it is mainly the Semites who were exposed to such a "God" and have such an extremely problematic "God" in their religion. The Hindus, Chinese, etc... DID NOT have such an insecure, tyrannical being as their "God". They had far more elaborate and sophisticated philosophical conceptions of who "God" is. You could say that "Yahweh" is a god invented by childish, immature thinkers, whereas some Eastern conceptions of God were arrived at by very profound thinkers.

But because Xtianity spread far and wide (through a combination of stick, carrot and false propaganda), a lot of the world's peoples got suckered into believing in the religion of Jesus which is more often than not confusingly comingled with that of his Jewish god.

^ You're probably right... like this article tells

even though televangelist Peter Popoff was exposed as a fraud, he's actually made more money afterwards!

There will always be people who insist on remaining suckers even after they have been shown that what they believe in is fraudulent. Case in point... "Smart"Dessa

    Sad...

Some years ago, the sister of my grandma received a huge amount of money from insurance for the death of her husband. Can you guess what she did with the money? She gave EVERYTHING to her pastor, who shortly thereafter was exposed as a charlatan. She never got anything back, not that she tried because she justified the loss as something that she gave to the Lord anyway. Now, she is happily with another Evangelical group which we suspect as yet another fake. But what can we do? It is her money.

Money can buy happiness. If you review the documentary about Marjoe ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marjoe ), he was a precocious child preacher who knew how fake the Jesus BS all was, was used by his parents to do the preaching when he was a child ('coz he was so charismatic), was then abandoned by his parents and then decided to do his own preaching (and was quite good at it) for a lving.

One day he got tired of all the faking, and decided to stop doing it which is why he also did the documentary. But there was one important thing he said that struck me: He said that people really did get euphoria (as is obvious) from these meetings. He was "giving" it to them, but he said what these people did not realize was they didn't really need him and could trigger this sort of ecstasy for themselves.

Religious ecstasy is a real phenomenon (I guess it's a bit like doing drugs) which is why people are willing to part with good money for it (like drugs as well).
