Hello everyone! Please don't lose hope.

Like some of you, I just took up nursing because I was forced by my parents. Though I passed the Nursing Licensure Exam last June 2009, I did not pursue this profession since my heart is not in it. Currently, I am happy in the field of IT as a trainee.
I shifted to IT by applying in an IT Bootcamp Program. There are actually companies such as Accenture, Capgemini, Pointwest, etc that will accept career shifters. These companies will train you with IT concepts and equip you with programming skills depending on which technology you will be assigned. Of course, it would be a bit difficult since we do not have any programming subjects like other career shifters such as those from ECE courses so I advise you to do a bit of self-study to have a background.
Just believe in yourself and your capabilities. Show interviewers how you really want to be in the field of IT. Don't be afraid to try because you will never know what the outcome will be if you don't try.
PS. To be updated with the latest IT Bootcamp Programs, you can check out The Working Filipino forum here in PEX or search job sites like Jobstreet. I wish you guys all the best! ^__^
