Kasi most of the time, parang DBA ka narin doon. Tapos try mo na mag apply as DBA.
Still up for this thread! Thanks sa mga replies!May mga DBA po ba dito sa PEX?Pls. share you stories with us on how u get the position. Thanks!![]()
^ It's safe to stick sa Oracle. Haha
Mostly pag software developer tapos humahawak ng database, mostly logical database side *** , like schema, tables etc.. . You have to learn administering different OS , like Nix and Windows .
Pero naiingit ako sa mga DBA na nagumpisa as developer , kasi ako DBA na nagstart , so I have to learn more about the SQL and PL/SQL.
Hi Sysman!Ask ko lang if DBA na agad first job mo after grad? or kung hindi ano mga naging previous job mo before DBA. I just want to know lang kasi hindi ko alam kung saan ako magstart or anong position aplayan ko para maging DBA in the near future
btw, im computer science fresh graduate.
@simplyxha
- callcenter agent ako nagstart , then nag IT Helpdesk, then self study ng todo , then naswertihan nahire as Junior kahit wala experience sa database , naswertihan ko *** din eh, d kasi ako IT Grad.
- Mabuti ka nga kasi alam mo na agad gusto mo path , ako it took 4 years bago ko nalaman gusto ko path. Kung ako ikaw , apply ka as junior oracle developer , PL/SQL Programmer or Forms and Report Developer , then pag medyo naiintidihan mo na how it works , magsetup ka ng sarili mong test database , then aralin mo ng seryoso.

Thanks for the replies! I just want to ask if a Technical Consultant position is a good starting job for my dream to become a DBA?
Hi! Yung Technical Consultant ba eh yung offer sa HP? If yes, I doubt you might have a good background or experience for DBA. Nung isang araw, I searched for DBA postings, relatively, kailangan ng experience with database mismo and I think, from my friends, who had Tech Consultant position from HP, it's not related.

try accenture..
I become a DBA right after college, pero hindi ako IT grad, ECE ako.
inapplyan kong position I.O. sa accenture.
