Sharon Cuneta Reacts to ABS-CBN Executive's Tweet about Alleged "Baho" of KC Concepcion

The Megastar challenges Eric Salut to provide evidence of her daughter's supposed misgivings.




Actress-TV host Sharon Cuneta expressed her displeasure on Twitter over ABS-CBN executive Eric Salut's negative tweet allegedly referring to her daughter, KC Concepcion, PEP.ph reports.

In Eric's tweet on @ericjohnsalut, he said, "Gusto mo ng baho ng idolo mo? Dami kong alam. Di mo kakayanin (Do you want dirt on your idol? I know a lot. You won't be able to take it)," in reply to user @ladymars12, a KC Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta fan who had reacted to his previous tweet, in which he said, "Kilala ko na kung kaninong fans ang bitter sa success ng #EveryBreathUTake. Obvious!" Every Breath You Take is a Star Cinema movie starring Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban. Piolo is KC's ex-boyfriend.

Sharon reacted to the issue on her own account, @sharon_cuneta12. "Ano nga bang 'baho' ni KC ang pinagsasabi nila?! Pakilabas na (What "dirt" on KC are they talking about? Please release it)," she tweeted. "Please at pati ako naiinip na!!! Mga walang-hiya ang mga sinungaling. Tandaan ninyo di natutulog ang Diyos. (Please because I'm getting impatient! Liars are shameless. Remember that God doesn't sleep.)"

"Eric, what's the problem with my daughter? Has she done anything karumal-dumal (terrible)? Or do you guys just choose to have a problem with her? Di ba pwedeng mag-move on na lahat? (Can everyone just move on?)" she added in a direct tweet to Eric as well as Roxy Liquigan, Star Cinema's adprom director.

"If @ericjohnsalut or anyone else says may 'baho' si KC they better support it with LOTS of proof/evidence/witnesses," she said in a series of tweets. "Kasi kung gusto namin manira, ang dami naming kilalang involved noon at ngayon. If KC has done anything to upset anyone, or bring shame to our family, or ruin my trust in her, or ruin my NAME, AKO MISMO ANG BUBUGBOG SA ANAK KO AT HIHINGI NG TAWAD SA PUBLIKO BAGO PA MAKARATING SA MGA NANINIRA. (If we wanted to ruin someone's reputation, we know a lot of people involved then and now. If KC has done anything to upset anyone, or bring shame to our family, or ruin my trust in her, or ruin my name, I will beat her up myself and ask the public for forgiveness before anything reaches detractors.) "

The Megastar, who moved to TV5 in 2011, also expressed her disbelief over Eric's comments, considering KC has a contract with ABS-CBN. "Executive kasi siya sa ABS-CBN kaya ako nagulat at nagtatanong ngayon sa kanya. Kapamilya si KC eh (He's an ABS-CBN executive, which was why I was surprised and started asking him questions. KC is a Kapamilya)," she said in reply to a fan tweet.

As of press time, neither Eric nor ABS-CBN has released a statement about the issue. Meanwhile, KC is currently in Cebu filming for upcoming TV show The X-Factor Philippines.

Celebrities Heat Up Social Media



Caught part of the new Sharon Cuneta show on TV5. I was quite surprised with her opening that pointed to her twitter bashers (again?) of months ago. She explained why she did what she did, even showing on the screen the ruthless tweets/messages she got from her haters. Sharon's act was quite a telling image of someone who to this day has not yet recovered from the brouhaha that she herself was largely to blame for. Thirty four years in the business and she still has the face of the uninitiated, oh dear!

Stars and celebrities should be aware that there will always be consequences to their every move, esp in public. 'Public' in this very techie world also refers to social media, which also means social network sites like twitter and facebook. How you publicly conduct yourself tells a ton about who you are. These sites provide everyone the platform to air, vent, express themselves about just anything. But nothing so easy comes without a price. For celebrites that they are, are subjects to fair game, a "free-for-all," any day, anytime...always. By joining these sites, stars or not, you open yourself up to be publicly scrutinized to the very core of your being.

The very popular twitter has been invaded by numerous nameless and faceless people hiding behind disguises or anonymity. A great number of them thrive mostly on bashing and demeaning celebrities, cutting them down to pieces - the more popular, the better. They gloat when their target celeb gets affected and reply to them in self-defense. These bashers' mission for the day is accomplished when stars react, and get mad in the process. It gives them that ultimate high - the power to level up.

But why give it to them? Why cheapen yourself by reacting? Your biggest blunder is to empower these people. Do not dignify their existence - it kills them. Why not choose to live in peace? Ignore. That's what 'sensible and thinking' stars do. Don't be a loser. No need to complicate your already complicated life. Now, if you have tons of time to waste in your hands, and choose to counter your haters' every tweet, then your being a fool will be your very downfall. Ultimately, who gets burned?

Yet never too late for the twinkling star to get out of the kitchen...now.

Veteran actress Helen Gamboa

MANILA, Philippines – Veteran actress Helen Gamboa became emotional on Tuesday as she shared how happy she is now that all is well between her and niece Sharon Cuneta.

In a live interview on “The Buzz,” Gamboa said she believes nothing can really outweigh one’s love for his or her own family.

“For me, ang importante ang pamilya lalo na kung pag-uusapan natin dito ay pagmamahal. Grabe ang pagmamahal ko kay Sharon, hindi na kayang sukatin,” she said.

Gamboa said she never really considered her tiff with Cuneta a problem because she believes that they would eventually talk thing over.

“Para sa akin naman, hindi naman siya talaga naging napakalaking problema. Wala namang hindi naaayos sa magandang pag-uusap,” she said.

Gamboa said she wholeheartedly accepted Cuneta when she reached out to her through text.

Gamboa, however, said they haven’t had time to personally meet yet because of their busy work schedules.

“Noong nag-text na siya sa akin, naglambing na sa akin. Readily I accepted it na parang walang nangyari. Hindi pa kami nagkikita pero sabi ko nga sa kanya siguro dapat mag-usap kami ng personal para malinawan lahat lahat,” she said.

Gamboa also shared that they all spared Cuneta’s mom of this issue because she is already ill.

“I never told her anything. Ang ate ko may sakit na so what’s the point in bringing up something like this? Ayaw ko siyang bigyan ng problema,” she said.

Asked what she is praying for now, she said: “I pray that she will still be the same as she was when we started her out as a little girl. Maski na she’s in her 40s now, naaalala ko pa rin noong maliit siya. Para sa akin, ganoon pa rin siya.”

Matapos ang dalawang taong hindi pag-uusap ay nagkapatawaran na finally ang mag-tita na sina Sharon Cuneta at Helen Gamboa. Ang ‘di pagkakaunawan ng dalawa ay may kinalaman sa pulitika dahil ang kanilang mga asawa ay parehong senador.

“Ang politics talaga very complicated. Ako talaga from the start, I would say even before, Tito (Sotto) entered politics, I would tell him takot na takot ako. I know it’s complicated, it’s violent, pero I have to be there for him, I have to support him dahil dun siya nilihis ng tadhana at ng Panginoon,” simula ng veteran actress. Ganito rin ang tinahak na landas ng asawa ni Megastar na si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.

“Kung minsan hindi mo pala maiwasan ‘yung pagkakaroon ng miscommunication, misunderstanding. Lalo na ‘pag hindi kayo nagkakausap, ‘yung mga taong nasa paligid ‘yun yata ang nagpapalala kaya siguro nagkakaganoon.”

Sumama raw kasi ang loob ni Sharon nang hindi suportahan ng ni Sen. Tito si Kiko na noon ay tatakbo sa pagka-senador dahil magkaiba sila ng partido.

Hindi naman daw masisi ni Helen si Sharon dahil asawa niya iyon at doon nga nagsimula ang ‘di pagkakaunawaan. Hindi raw sila nagkakausap ni Sharon, at kung nakapag-usap sana sila ay posibleng napigilan ni Helen ang hidwaan.

“Tapos nagtampo na siya, hindi niya ako kinausap ng dalawang taon, ‘yun ang pinakamasakit sa akin, bale-wala sa akin ang politics, for me importante ang pamilya, lalo na kung ‘pag-uusapan dito (ay) pagmamahal. Ang pagmamahal ko kay Sharon hindi na kukuwestyunin ‘yan. ‘Di na kayang sukatin, hanggang langit ang pagmamahal ko.” Aniya, ang turing niya kay Sharon ay panganay na anak.

Natapos ang kanilang hidwaan nang mag-text daw si Sharon sa kanya. “Nung mag-text na siya sa akin, naglambing. Readily, I accepted it. Parang walang nangyari. Ang kulang na lang hindi pa kami nagkikita. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, ‘Siguro nga anak magkausap tayo nang personal para malinawan.’”

Kapatid ni Helen ang ina ni Sharon na si Elaine na ngayon ay mahina na rin dahil sa katandaan, kaya naman hindi raw nila ipinapaalam dito ang tungkol sa nangyaring hidwaan. Kahit pa raw magkaroon siya ng pagkakataon ay hindi pa rin niya sasabihin na kapatid ang tungkol sa nangyari. “I will not tell her what happened. I never told her anything kasi ang katwiran ko ang ate ko may sakit na. Ayoko siyang bigyan ng problema. Ang palaging nasa puso ko wala namang ‘di maayos sa magandang pag-uusap,” katwiran niya.

Sa ngayon ay hindi pa raw nagkikita ang mag-tita dahil pareho raw silang abala sa kani-kanilang trabaho.

Nang tanungin ni Boy Abunda si Helen para sa kanyang panalangin, naging emosyunal ang aktres sa kanyang sagot. “I pray (that) she will still be the same as she was when we started her out as (when she was still) a little girl. Maski na she’s in her ‘40s now, ang tingin ko pa rin sa kanya, naaala ko pa rin talaga nung maliit siya. ‘Di na maalis sa isip ko ‘yon. Para sa akin ganon pa rin siya na maliit na bata na hinone namin ang talent niya. I pray that she will never change. She’s a beautiful person, she’s so compassionate and for her to have the best of health.”
