PEP REVIEW: Sharon: Kasama Mo, Kapatid

Sharon Cuneta's new talk show on TV5, Sharon: Kasama Mo, Kapatid, is a mix of old and the new. While there is not much change in format from the Megastar's previous talk shows, new elements are added to spice up the show.

For one, Sharon is now interviewing normal everyday people, aside from celebrities. In the pilot episode yesterday, May 14, the actress-TV host talked to a battered woman, and a single mom.

This is good because Sharon's show now takes the form of a public affairs program, in a talk show format. Interviewing non-celebrities is a plus for the show because it lets viewers relate faster to the guests than if the guest was a celebrity.

A public affairs format is also quite fitting to Sharon, since she not only moves in showbiz circles, but also in political circles, with husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan, and uncle Senator Tito Sotto.

Aside from this, the show also takes efforts to embrace new trends in media. Links to the show's Facebook and Twitter, for instance, are promoted in the show's title card.

More viewer interaction is also introduced. Yesterday, May 14, select members of the audience were given a chance to ask questions to celebrity guest Judy Ann Santos.

Sharon was also pleasantly surprised by the visit of her husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan who brought along their kids Frankie and Miel as well as their adopted son Miguel.

Not much can be said on Sharon Cuneta's hosting skills, as she has already perfected this talent. She can use her charming personality to relate to the guests, and intellect to ask the best questions.

The only con to the show is its timeslot, as viewers are more accustomed to watching soap operas in the afternoon. Perhaps a better timeslot, like one in the morning, will be a better fit.

‘Kaaliw si Sharon Cuneta dahil hindi makapaniwalang papasukin ng ads ang show niya sa TV5 na Sharon Kasama Mo, Kapatid. Naipahayag ni Megastar ang labis na katuwaan sa Twitter at tweet nito “Lord thank you po! I have commercials! Hahaha nagulat ako!!!

Ikinatuwa rin ni Sharon na nag-trending sa Twitter at number four ang pilot episode ng show niya. Kaya dedma ito sa mga trolls niya sa Twitter at kung sumagot man ay idinaan sa biro.

Hinihintay ng viewers ng SKMK ang paggi-guest ni Helen Gamboa, ‘di naman yata exclusive ang aktres sa ABS-CBN dahil nag-guest ito sa Paparazzi.

OLA CHIKKA now na! Oh, no… oh, yes… now na! More chikka, more fun na naman tayo. Pak! Ano ba ‘yan, kaloka as in ‘Sige, mataba na kung, mataba… ang puso ko… magpakatotoo tayo. Sharon, Kasama Mo, Kapatid’.

Tinutukan ko ang pilot episode ng programa last Monday. Wala akong makuhang magpakatotoo, ang nakita ko lang na totoo, ang katabaan niya at ang pagbe-baby talk na hanggang ngayon wala pa ring pagbabago ang paiyak-iyak ni Sharon Cuneta.

Nakakasawa, lalo na ang guest niyang kapatid kuno na sa totoo lang, ewan ko sa inyo, napaplastikan ako ha? Akala mo sila na ang perpektong nilalang na walang kapintasan kung magsalita. Tama lahat naman ng ibinibintang sa kanila ay may katotohanan, kaya siguro sila tinatamaan, kasi truth hurts.

At wala akong makitang pagbabago sa kanyang show, lalong naging boring, ang bagal at wala akong nakitang bago puro pagpupuri sa kanyang kapatid at hindi mo maintindihan kung ano ba talaga ang target ng show.

Akala ko ba, ala-Oprah ang magiging pormat ng show? Sa true lang, walang kawawaang nakakaantok, sa tingin ko lang ha, hindi ito magtatagal. Kung ganito nang ganito ang makikita mo araw-araw na paiyak-iyak ni Sharon, at sana mabasa niya ito para malaman niyang tama na, sobra na ang katawan niya at ang kanyang paiyak-iyak na hindi maganda ang dating sa televiewers.

Sorry, kasi dapat kaaya-aya tayo sa mga nanonood. Dapat ang format ng program niya ay kung paano pumayat. Ibalik ang The Biggest Loser, kasi patuloy pa rin ang paglaki ng katawan ni Sharon. Parang pinagmamalaki pa talaga niya ang ‘sige mataba na kung mataba’. Yes, true! Pero wala akong nakitang puso at pagpapakatotoo.

‘Yun lang, pero take note, kumare ko ‘yan. Pero kaylan man, hindi niya ako tinuring na may naitulong ako sa kanya. ‘Yan ba ang totoo?

Abs-Cbn executive, nagbanta na sisiraan nito ang kanilang sariling artista!?

Naging mainit ang kaganapan kagabi sa twitter kung saan nagbanta ang isang ABS-CBN executive (Eric John Salut) na sisiraan nito ang iniidolo (KC Concepcion) ng fan na nag-tweet nga hate message sa kanya. Kumalat sa twitter ang screen-shot ng mga messages ng naturang executive na kung saan ilalabas raw nito lahat ng baho ng isang artista kung di tumigil ang fan nito.

To the rescue naman ang mga taga-hanga ng ABS-CBN artist at tinadtaran ng hate messages si Salut. Nag-tweet rin ang ina ni KC, na si Sharon Cuneta na kung may ebidensiya o witness si Eric John Salut sa mga pagbabanta nito ay ilabas niya.

Sharon Cuneta upset over ABS-CBN executive's tweet about supposed "baho" of daughter KC Concepcion



"Gusto mo ng baho ng idolo mo? Dami kong alam. Di mo kakayanin."
This tweet got Sharon Cuneta upset, and caused a flood of posts on her Twitter account @sharon_cuneta12 just before midnight, May 17.
It came from ABS-CBN executive Eric John Salut, who tweeted it to a certain @ladymars12, who also reacted to the former's earlier tweet: "Kilala ko na kung kaninong fans ang bitter sa succes ng #EveryBreathUTake. Obvious!...
(Every Breath You Take, the latest offering of Star Cinema, stars Piolo Pascual, the ex-boyfriend of Sharon's daughter KC Concepcion.
SHARON REACTS. It didn't take long before the tweet reached the Megastar and ruined her day.
Her earlier posts about the Tulfo brothers' guesting on Sharon: Kasama Mo Kapatid were followed by a series of retorts addressed to Eric.
Some of her tweets a few hours ago:
gusto ko malaman kung ano ang pinagsasabi ni eric john salut. Nang maglabasan na.
Eric, what's the problem with my daughter? Has she done anything karumal-dumal? Or do you guys just choose to have a problem with her? Di ba puedeng mag-move-on na lahat?
Then she dared the executive to back up his claim:
If @ericjohnsalut or anyone else says may 'baho' si KC they better support it w/ LOTS of proof/evidence/witnesses. Kasi kung gusto namin manira, ang dami naming kilalang involved noon at ngayon.

Shawie (her nickname) added, "If KC has done anything to upset anyone, or bring shame to our family, or ruin my trust in her, or ruin my NAME, AKO MISMO ANG BUBUGBOG SA ANAK KO AT HIHINGI NG TAWAD SA PUBLIKO BAGO PA MAKARATING SA MGA NANINIRA."
At press time, the actress-host-singer posted 45 tweets about the subject. In between, she managed to joke, "Isusumbong ko kayo sa lahat ng Tulfo! Hahaha"
But she couldn't hide her disappointment. "Sobra lang this time," she tweeted.
Shawie also underlined that she didn't expect the remark to come from the advertising and promotions head of ABS-CBN, where KC is a contract star.

SA mga billboard at print ads ng bagong show ni Sharon Cuneta sa TV5 na may pamagat na Sharon Kasama Mo, Kapatid ay mababasa ang mga katagang, “Sige, mataba na kung mata ang puso ko”.

Siyempre , hindi naman talaga tungkol sa puso ang gustong ipahiwatig ng naturang ads kundi ang literal na katabaan ni Sharon. Eh kung totoong tumaba ang kanyang puso, mas mahirap .... heart attack ang aabutin niya hehehe.

Mukhang hindi na talaga papayat pa si Sharon dahil ang alam ko, ginawa na niya halos lahat ng paraan para lang pumayat. ‘Di nga ba’t natalo pa siya noon ng mga contestant sa isang contest sa Dos na siya mismo ang host? Nagsipagpayatan ang lahat ng contestants pero si Sharon, nanatiling mataba.

Pero ang mahalaga kay Sharon, kahit tumaba man siya ay hindi naman nagkaroon ng epekto sa kanyang pagiging Megastar. Kahit mataba na siya, may mga product endorsement pa rin naman siya kaya okey lang.

At saka matagal nang tanggap ng publiko ang pagiging mataba ni Sharon, noon pa.

Wil Time Bigtime is now on full-time preparation for its upcoming international tour in the United States. The tour coincides with the big launch of "KapatidTV5" Network and AksyonTV International this May 26 in Los Angeles and June 2 in San Francisco.

Even Willie Revillame himself can't help but feel the excitement too. He has prepared a special production number for fellow Filipinos abroad.

Sharon, nakakalukring ang tweets

NAPUYAT ako the other night sa pagbabasa ng tweets ni Ms. Sharon Cuneta.


Hindi ko alam kung maiinis, maaaliw o maaawa ako sa Megastar. Halu-halo na siguro.


May kaaway kasi siyang advertising and promo executive ng ABS-CBN na ‘naninira’ raw sa anak na si KC Concepcion.


Hindi napigilan ni Sharon ang mag-emote dahilan upang naungkat pati ang paglipat niya ng istasyon.


Ayon kay Mega, “Yon ang nakakalungkot. May mga nandu’n na ‘di marunong ihiwalay ang mga nabuong friendship at pinagsamahan sa work. Tapos sariling artist nila like KC, sisiraan. At ng executive nila, ha?!”


Dagdag ni Shawie: “No one has lied to me yet from TV5. Sa ABS-CBN, meron. One of the reasons I left. Sorry, just telling the truth.”


Worse, pinatulan din ni Mega ang ilang ordinaryong tao sa Twitter who posted unflattering tweets about her and KC. Nand’yang ikumpara niya ang isa sa kanal habang kinurek naman niya ang grammar ng isa pa.


I don’t know what’s eating her but hindi ito ang asal na inaasahan ko sa isang Sharon Cuneta na asawa ng isang senador ng bansa.


She should choose her battles. This is not even a battle, eh. She’s quarreling with anonymous people.
Senator Kiko Pangilinan should take note of this.
