next, i would like to talk about the Rapture. perhaps you've already heard this before and have a general idea about it, but allow me to explain it a little further so you will understand what's next in God's agenda.
the rapture is basically the snatching away of the Church. like I said in the post above, we are now in the Age of Grace and this age is about to close. when this age closes, God will rapture His Church (all who believed in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior) and will allow the world to undergo a severe tribulation period.
the tribulation period is believed to be 7 years. it is the time where God will supernaturally reveal Himself to people through a series of judgments such as earthquakes, meteors, diseases, hailstones, and all sorts of plagues. when the Church is gone, the antichrist will be finally revealed.
here are some scriptures about the rapture:
1 Corinthians 15:52
-- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
Revelation 3:10
-- Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.
Matthew 24:41
-- Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
there are many more scriptures about the rapture. basically, the idea is that God will protect His Church and will not allow them to experience harm.
why is that? basically, when one becomes a Christian, he is justified. God no longer looks upon his sin because he is already covered by the blood of Christ.
so after the rapture comes the tribulation period. this is the most documented period in all of the Bible. i will talk about the tribulation period next time.
