Any body planning to get laid lol, I mean have some nice time in Vegas? Im curious to experience what Vegas has to offer, And the hotels rate are darn appealing.PLanning to be awake whole night in Las Vegas, hahahha. I just did the same 3 weeks ago in Bali, went back to the hotel at 6 am, hehehe. It was awesome!

And finally , can somebody where to gamble for first timer? Walang bang parang peryahan lang? hihiihi.Or any suggestion for a game that is based on luck, like sa pula sa puti sa peryahan, hahahhaa.yung pang small time lang, I tried one in Casino Montecarlo in Monaco, I lost 50 euros and I was like , what the heck, what a waste

" Life is a party otherwise it's a total waste!!!" lol

P.S , it might be OT, since this is CA thread. I know Las Vegas is in Nevada and not in CA

wow ang gaganda naman ng pics! makes me really excited to head to LA this August

Will be staying there for two years to get my second BA. I'll be travelling alone and I have one free week to wander around before classes start, hehe.. Yung school ko malapit lang sa Pacific Coast sa may Lincoln Boulevard/Westchester

Any other great spots you can suggest near the area? Or Pinoy communities that can help me cope with culture shock?!

    Big Sur

this is one of the most scenic part of the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) "Hwy #1" as it snakes along Big Sur's seaside hills.

pit stop at a quaint, old town of Gorda. nice folks around here.. they offer food, lodging and whale-watching tours.

scenic Big Sur! i can just imagine the view during sunsets.

where the chipmunks have no fear of humans

these are German tourists. aliw na aliw mag pakain sa mga chipmunks at seagulls

    in LA.

roll around: Hollywood blvd. and Highland Ave., Sunset blvd., Beverly Hills, Bel Air

    bum around Venice beach

if theme parks is your thing, then there's Universal Studios.

since 2 wks ka naman, maglakwatcha ka rin outside LA.

    north of LA - Malibu.

    down south of LA,

    in Anaheim, Orange County:
    Disneyland, and Knotts Berry
Dana Point, Santa Monica beach, Huntington beach, Newport beach

the beaches along Orange, and SoCal in general, is where the surfing culture began and first popularized.

bikinis, surfers, skateboarders... just soak in the surf vibe here.

    in Magic Mountain:
    Six Flags

    in San Diego:
Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Safari Park.
on the way to SD, drop by Laguna beach

go east to the desert, visit Las Vegas!

i don't think you'll suffer from culture shock. sa Pinas pa lang we are already bombarded with Hollywood/American culture on a daily basis

may mga Jollibee, Goldilocks at maliliit na Pinoy food shops naman dun.. you can start getting in touch with kabayans from these places.

you really must try this classic American road trip

it's on NatGeo's 'Drive of a Lifetime' (500 of the World's Most Spectacular Trips) "California Pacific Coast Highway"

    Maps:
    Southern Cali "SoCal" 1

    SoCal 2

Thank you for these pics. Planning our own California trip in a few months time.

there's not much culture shock in LA really, a lot of parts in LA look just like Manila, plus kahit saan ka pumunta sa LA, sang katutak ang pinoy.

    i totally agree.

    San Francisco

    cold, damp, foggy San Francisco

the Golden Gate Bridge completely shrouded by fog!

we checked-in at the Courtyard Marriot located in the Fisherman's Wharf

the Fisherman's Wharf at night.. the damp weather makes the chilly sea breeze bitingly cold!

    In-N-Out Burger!

Pompei's Grotto. superb dining al fresco, their crab salad, buttered sea bass and clam chowder were very tasty.. friendly staff too! ..a good spot to relax and to just 'people-watch'

Lou's Fish Shack. i luv this joint. their cod fish 'n chips, crab bisque, crab chowder, oyster chowder were fantastic! plus, there was a live jazz band playing, a really nice place to chill out after a long day's tour of the city.

at saka many people don't even consider california to be part of America, masiyadong maraming foreigner, masiyadong iba ang tao, iba ang views, iba ang kultura; parang ibang bansa daw ang dating
