example: mga music games like, dance revo, guitar hero games. kelangan mo ba ng malupit na graphics para sa mga bumababang arrows?

bakit sikat na sikat ang angry birds? dahil ba sa graphics?
bakit until now, ang dami pa din naglalaro ng tetris sa FB?

Well lets just say that the majority of the people in this world loves to play games and they don't care about the graphics, they will play it because it's a casual type of game.. Let's consider it as a 6 out of 10 people.

However the remaining 4 of the 10 people prefer the games like sci-fi, FPS, action and they will not play it if the visuals are too crappy and less aliasing. They are too concern about the Tessellation, Texture detail, Anisotropic filtering and the overall framerate performance.
But for you to achieve this, you'll be needing a powerful hardware like high-end PC, and let's include HD consoles like PS3, X360. Not to mention having one of these devices is not too cheap. Make sure if you enter this type of gaming, you'll bee needing a lot of money to burn cause even it's games are not cheap, they are manufactured in HDDVD/Bluray/Multiple DVDs. Internet connection is also a requirements, another nightmare in this genre are the DLCs..
See?, it's expensive!.

On the other side, the casual gaming don't require any of these sh!t. Just play and enjoy, you can even download casual games on the internet for a reasonable price.. Though I doubt about 3DS, it's more like a mainstream gaming device like VITA for me, and also the upcoming Wii U, it will approach the MS and Sony's strategy, and I don't think that console will be casual like before, I doubt it will be like that.

Casual games = Affordable/Cheap
Mainstream/Hardcore games = Expensive

non-anonymous developers seam please with the hardware specs of wii u, so i doubt it will be a weaker console than ps3 or xbox360. one thing is for sure, the hardware that will have the greatest specs will have a hard time being number one in the next generation. (see gameboy vs gamegear, ps1 vs nintendo64, ps2 vs gc/xbox1 and nds vs psp)

Lower specs -> lower production cost -> lower retail price -> affordable for the masses -> ???? -> PROFIT!
