Nature’s Trail Discovery Run 2012 10/16/21K (Rizal)

Nature’s Trail Discovery Run will bring runners to new adventures of trail running as well as promoting environmental awareness the reforestation of the watersheds of Tanay, Rizal and the development of upland communities through the mountain sports tourism promotion. It is a 3-leg series of Trail Run races scheduled on May 27, September 2 and December 2 in 2012. The series will run in different trail routes at the foot and top of hills and mountains, running through small trails, dirt roads, rivers, and inside the forested areas for complete trail experience. It shall serve as qualifying races for the annual “Love A Tree” which will have its next run on February 2013.

1st Txtfire Fire Run: Takbo Laban sa Sunog 3/5/10K (SM MOA)

The 1st Txtfire Fire Run : Takbo Laban sa Sunog is an advocacy event to raise funds for the 10 Public Hospital fire alarm systems. This will be held on May 27, 2012 at SM Mall of Asia with events of 3K, 5K and 10K. This Special Event aims to raise awareness in fire safety and also raise funds for the deployment of several In Case of Emergency Box or Icebox to hospitals and institutions all over Metro Manila. The Icebox is a fire alarm equipment which uses SMS to transmit fire alarm directly to our Txtfire Control Center. This will expedite the responses of fire trucks in case the need arises.

Not exactly a pure running event last May 27, the race started with a six-kilometer run, then a 30-kilometer bike ride and capped with a three-kilometer run.
