In general, whether it be a guy wearing a suit for formal occasions or for late night partying in clubs, does it appeal to girls?

-long sleeved polo is fine & sexy, w/ fit straight dark pants. rugged is sexier
-although suits or a formal jacket really is appealing in the eye, kung MATANGKAD yung lalaki saka yung built/height niya mala richard gomez.
-suits?? feeling ko pang dinner-fine dining -ball/gala night or wedding, lang yan...
^ I've been bugging some girls about that before. They think the same way as you. I tell them they look really hot in a dress but would never dare wear a dress for a normal gimmik at gbelt or somewhere. They always have to have some "reason" to justify wearing a hot gown.
I wish girls would wear those "formal" things more often.
I don't need "a reason" to wear a suit. Even a formal one.
Siguro not necessarily suits... but a semi-formal look is really neat and appealing.

Men wearing it on the right occasion, it is very appealing.
NR for me. I see so many men wearing suits at work and even back then in my previous jobs so i've always seen it as a business attire.

I know a lot of businessmen and a lot of white collar workers wearing them...but most of them don't know how to wear it. They wear it like a uniform maybe that's why. Most of them aren't sartorial suits. Pre-made pre cut. Sizing is ridiculous.
A lot of people think they buy an expensive suit, it's good enough. I buy cheap suits and I pay 50+ dollars for tailoring and it look spankier than an Armani. Then the trimmings: 1$ white kerchief ironed to perfection, 15$ discount tie, matching french cuffed 30$ in most affordable men's wear shops---cheaper than what they sell in Macy's, Nordstrom or Bloomingdales, simple tie bar cuff links 15$ each and that's expensive if you're cheap like me, 10$ silk dress socks (3 pair) and some 3$ Kiwi to buff out your dress shoes...I hear some of those big wigs wearing what 1500$ suits alone and it look like a$$. 150 accessories and 200 suits look like a million bucks.
^I agree. i think suits should be tailored to fit. I've seen a lot of men wear ill-fitting suits.
The most ridiculous are at formal events. For crying out loud, if you guys don't wear it often, at least have it tailored to fit so the few times you wear a suit, at least it looks good.
^Maybe it's because it's borrowed or rented.![]()
ang sarap mag suit sa pinas, ang lamig eh![]()
Hindi ko pa naranasan ang magsuot ng ganito.![]()
suits should be tailored to fit.
the problem here is that most of the tailors who really know how to assemble a suit are already old and dying. the old tailors like dale bunag of sinz, mang danny of lors, rm manlapat, etc. did not pass their knowledge to the new tailors.
try having a suit made, interview the tailor and he could not give you a decent advice on which suit style will suit you.
a suit should fit your lifestyle. proper suit, should be worn to the proper event. the right cut, style, color should be worn to the proper activity.
and it should be worn with style, panache, attitude and chutzpah.
and what rankles me is how much local tailors will charge you for assembling a suit. put@ngnang TAGA!!!! ang pangit naman!
best bet is to have your suits made in hong kong. they still have the best tailors this part of the world. and believe it or not, it is cheaper to have your suits made in hong kong than having it made locally. just make sure to order at least 3 to make it worth the trip.
