yup, read that spoiler too. looks promising, still not to raise my
hopes up with these writers. as i've said before, they semi-
screwed the Doccubus fans in season 2, kaya que sera sera
    for me this coming season.

they better plan this ahead if they don't want the loyal viewers
to abandon the show. i for one will not watch it anymore
if ever they killed my 'ship' or they pull a plug on my fave
character (Lauren). it simply won't be the same show i luv
    and craved so much.

isn't it more angsty and exciting if ever they really delve
on the B/L relationship? we picture them as "star-crossed"
lovers anyway, so why not 'upped the ante' and be as a
groundbreaking show they claimed to be. there are lots
of F/F pairing on TV now, but what makes B/L distinct is
that they represents a very diverse demographic. unlike
those pairings on Glee (which i never watched, ever), well,
that's a reel representation of horny teen-age phase.

if ever they surprised us this season 3, then it's a win-win
for us fans and for the producers. they must have a clue
by now that 3/4 of their audience are leaning on the
pro-B/L. it will be a complete disservice on their passionate
fans, like us, to be ignored. all those endles poll they keep
on posting on their blogs will be rendered useless. for sure,
fandemonium will ensues if ever that happens.

no, i think they got the message. basing on the press
release leaked, i'm positive that they're on that direction of
finally giving us Doccubus fans a right to, shall we say
squeel more till our heats content! hehehe so bring it on!

do you think Lost Girl will be shown in Pinas? i mean,
it's a cable show in Canada, will there be a local network
who will be interested to take the risk of showing it
locally there? kung meron man, surely it will be censored
like foreign shows that were aired there. its sad that
even if we are on the cyber-sex era na, Philippines is still
in limbo in terms of quality and modern day shows from
    abroad, hay!

will check Amazon tomorrow if how how much is the
season 1 DVD. i was hoping that sana they also shipped
it here in Dubai, kasi daming Canadians dito from what
i've heard. anywho, will check Virgin store every now
and then, who knows, baka biglang meron.

as for my dream episode, okay, don't laugh at me on this,
i had this vision based on what i read in one of the stories
sa fanfiction.net of Bo turning androgynous and being
a succubus/incubus and impregnated Lauren and raised
this Faebie with her for a thousand of years and be,
(are you ready now?) gasp! be monogamous with Lauren,
emotionally and sexually. huh! crazy, ha? of course,
that won't happen if Hotpants is stll human, no? so she
has to be a hybrid or something to be genetically compatible
for Bo. hehehe hey, it can happen! this a sci-fi show
after all! but i guess, it will be just that a dream, doubt it
kung mangyari sa show yan. hehehe

the head security of the Light Fae who was like a fire-starter
or something was Serena. that's the Arachnofaebia episode.
if i remember right. you're 'spot on' on that, that's a "cool"
power, too. but after that epi i haven't seen her in subsequent episodes. hope she's a recurring character, and tapped her again this coming season. i want her to be on sparing with Bo, bet that will be one damn duel, wouldn't you think? with Bo blued-eyed supersuccubus battling it out with the fire wielding Serena (not Van der Woodsen hehehe), they didn't reveal her last name anyway. which we know who will win, but still i want my little Bo-Bo to have a formidable foe. the Garuda was mehh for me, really overrated to be honest, or was it the shows fight instructors that messed up
the battle scene, whatev! basta, this coming season they
better give us a memorable fight scene. fire all those fight
instructors that they have now, and hire somebody who really
knows his ****, para naman super realistic siya even if it's
on a sci-fi show. sorry, i'm rambling now.

off topic, do you think Anna Silk was a good choice to be Bo?
is she a bit too old, others are claiming, for the role? and is
she giving us the believable acting chops that goes with the
role of being a sexy, charismatic, Fae-baby succubus? what's
your take on this? i will reveal mine, as soon as you PEXed
    yours. hehehe

MIELLE (still IN, multi-tasking now with PEXing and reading
a recently downloaded book from the net, boring ha?)

oh sorry, dude! anyway, enjoy the epis. it will get better
    i assure you!

ignore my ramblings or skip mo yung ibang revelation dun.
    hehehe

can't help myself sometimes, i'm that passionate on this
    show.

    happy Fae night to you!

I'm really sorry about all the spoilery things I've written. I should've put them all in spoiler tags! I guess I just got carried away, since it's really hard to filter stuff especially when you already know everything that has happened on the show. But from now on, I'll be very careful na and avoid writing spoilers without putting them in tags. Hope you enjoy the rest of season 2, ubermensch. Also, feel free to discuss with us or share your opinion on the episodes as soon as you've watched them. After all, it's also great to know other people's take on the show and its episodes.

    As for you, mielle:

I think loyal viewers would only abandon the show if the entire show is completely messed up already, and not just because something got in the way of their shipping business. And like I've said, I'm the type of person who finds a hard time letting go of the shows I love even if the writing and acting has already become too sh*tty so I don't know about that.

Yes, Lost Girl really has something distinct, refreshing, and unique to offer the viewers, which makes it interesting for me to watch. But since you've mentioned Glee, I'm actually a fan of the show, hence one of my pins. Don't get me wrong, I think Glee has already started going downhill with its writing and acting, and I think it also has a lot of weaknesses as a show. But I still have to give it credit for providing a way for a wide range of people to get exposed to musicals and various kinds of songs. In fact, I actually found its first season to be highly commendable, that is, until its quality went downhill with the succeeding seasons. And of course, the show is a musical so it's not really supposed to be an entirely accurate or realistic representation of people. And it's also focused on a set of teenagers hence the teenage appeal. But a lot of people from different places and backgrounds watch it so it must be doing something right. It has its weaknesses but it also has its brilliant moments, and if you just watch it, there are actually moments that are touching enough to resonate with real life. Some of their covers or performances are good too. But enough about Glee.

As for the fans or viewer demographic of Lost Girl, I must say that Doccubus fans really are the most vocal of all of them. Next are the Dybo fans. But you know, it's really very tricky and hard to distinguish the actual demographic of a show, especially since only a part of the entire LG fanbase are vocal about it on the Internet. So it's really hard to generalize something like that. Also, whatever route they take on the show, there will always be fans who would get upset and there will always be ships that would get hurt or not addressed. After all, it would really be tricky and hard for the writers to come up with plots that would cover all bases and please every fan.

Actually, a lot of good American shows have already been shown and are currently being shown here in the Philippines. But since LG is a Canadian one, that would be an entirely different case. The Philippines is still a bit conservative as a whole, but we'll (hopefully) get there. Even Glee here in the Philippines was censored in terms of airing affectionate scenes between same sex couples. But recently, they allowed the airing of the kisses na but only on a later time slot. For what exact reason, I don't know. But may be they're starting to loosen up na or maybe it's because of the fan reactions of Filipino Gleeks.

Also, discussions have been floating around on the Internet that since Syfy picked up LG and since the show aired in the US, the showrunners may decide to mellow or tone done the convos and intimate scenes na, especially of the same sex, due to outside or marketing pressures like its US airing. In fact, some fans have actually pointed out that the toning down of swearing and intimacy on the show has already started since the second season in order to cater to US viewers. But I don't really know about that since I haven't really noticed any significant changes in the tone of the show.

As for your dream episode, no offense but it's actually quite funny and crazy. I doubt they'd actually make that happen on the show. And about Bo turning androgynous, I don't really want that to ever happen. She looks good and hot as she is, at least for me LOL!

I think Anna Silk can pass for the show and doesn't really seem too old for her role. I actually found her to be quite convincing being seductive and charming, even when she's doing intimate scenes with other characters. And based on her interviews, that's just exactly what she was aiming for. She really wanted daw to make her character as believable as possible in every scene she's in. I think she did well naman the past seasons. Also, I agree that the Garuda as the main antagonist of the second season was really overhyped and didn't really seem to be as tough as they made him out to be. Some of his abilities were cool, like the whole manipulation against each other and possession thing, but the others, not so much. It also didn't help that most of the CG effects on the show isn't that good and convincing. And lastly, regarding the action scenes, I think the show is still lacking in terms of those. The best action scene, as far as I can remember, was when Bo had a sword fight with Lachlan. Sana mas marami pang amazing action scenes tulad nun in the future. Ngayon tuloy I remember that fight scene that Zoie Palmer's character had on Nikita. Grabe mas intense pa yun compared to most of the action scenes on LG. But then again, it's Nikita so there's no doubt about it.

hahaha, crazy dream epi ha? malay mo it might happen in the show. maybe if the writers simultaneously infected by "writer's block" e maghanap na lang sila sa fanfiction ng gagawin nilang episode. hehehe yeah, you're right Bo is HOT as she is, no need to be supernaturally altered to procreate and produce the perfect Faebie ever born this century! gosh! that baby will be like "the golden child" if ever. hehehe that's why i like watching sci-fi shows, the possibilities really are endless!

what i want to see (this time realistic na 'to) is our three girls to be in one episode solving the Fae case of the day, (not being a feminist here, ha?) without Trick, Hale and Dyson, shot outdoors in daylight preferably para ma highlight ang beauty nila (demanding, ba?). bickering on what to do next, armed only with their innate charms. Bo in all seductive mode, Lauren with her usual geeky but adorable self, and Kenzi with all her deadly one-liners. ha! what do you think, nice dream epi, di ba? you bet, it will be the 'mother of all epis' of Lost Girl! and the no. 1 illegally donwloaded episode on the web. hehehe

as of my threat to jump ship if ever they pull the plug on Doccubus, i'm serious, no Lauren/Zoie then no more Lost Girl for me. even if they retain all the other characters. for me, it won't be the same again. it will be just another sci-fi show being aired out there. so showcase don't ever, ever ruin this show. we're watching your every move, careful. sorry, Hotpants really got me, what can i say.

we Doccubus fans are loud and opinionated, i accept that, but that's only because we want to call the attention of the producers to fix some themes/storylines that are really hard to connect from previous epis we have watched. they may ignore those irate blogs that were posted from their website, still they should sit and take notice. afterall, these are the people who watched the show religiously even if sometimes what they're viewing is bordering on crappy and lousy editing, lighting, scriptwriting, etc. personally, i don't post on those blogs, kasi ano pa masasabi ko, e parang nasabi na nila lahat. hehehe

maybe Studio 23 can pick it up? sila lang naman ang medyo viable to buy the series. ano palagay mo? they can air it on a late night time slot, maybe shall we say 10-11 pm? at least we know that the younger audience are not watching anymore. well, that would be suntok sa buwan. as you said Philippines is still conservative, that's a fact. there's nothing we can do about it, not all Pinoys are that open-minded na, sad but true.

as for the discussions floating on the net now regarding SyFy's toning down the show to appease the US audience, well, admit man nila o hindi, i think it's true. US boob tubes percentage is twice of that of Canada, so no surprise there if they want this show to be a massive hit statesidewise. i don't think showcase will weep if ever di sila ma-renew ng SyFy sa 3rd season. they still have the international audience as buffer. and locally in Canada it's already a phenom. i just hope that they won't turn over-confident and proud at the expense of the show's suffering from lucklustre writing and inconcistencies in every episodes. i think that's one of the reason that most of the epis in the second half of season 2 tanked, except for the 3 last epis, dami kasing writers. it's a good decision from the producers that they assigned a showrunner for season 3, to be at the helm of the writing team. she has the power to revise scripts and correct whatever loopholes she might detect and tweak unnecessary plotlines. hope Emily Andras won't disappoint us. the show's creator Michelle Lovretta already abandoned the show, so it's really up to Ms. Andras to maintain Lost Girl's momentum as a ground-breaking sci-fi show.

Zoie's kicking-*** in Nikita? nasa YouTube ba yan? wow! can't imagine her on an intense fighting scene! sana she could be like that on Lost Girl. this time she's the one doing the 'saving' and not Bo. or better yet, after saving Bo, they'll be riding a motorcyle on the run and being pursued by the Light or Dark berserkers. of course, dapat Lauren is the one driving, 'coz Bo is not her usual self, you know. hehehe sheesh! dream sequence na naman!

as of Anna Silk's being Bo, i have no problem with her so far. she's portraying naman Bo believably, i think she's starting to 'own' the role. nung una, i felt na parang di siya bagay sa role, kasi i see Bo as a bit young-ish maybe near Kenzi's age? but she grew on me, especially in season 2. i think that cemented her to be 'the lead' of this series. it's good there are epis that she can showcase her acting chops, and prove to all those naysayers that she's the only choice for the role. kudos to her! you know what i observed from her she seems to have more chemistry with her female co-stars than with her male ones. i mean look at her with Zoie in those all taped interviews, di na sila in-character dun, pero still the attraction is palpable, not sexually but the closeness and the respect for each other, same with Ksenia. notable din mga scenes niya kung si Kenzi and Lauren ang kasama niya, i dunno pansin ko lang. i agree with the others, her and Zoie really has a very potent chemistry. they literally burn the screen when their together! amazing really! she even jelled well with The Morrigan! remember their seduction scenes in epi. 21 (Into The Dark), boy, that was HOTT!

Lost Girl's audience are not our typical TV viewers, from what i'm reading there in showcase blogs all of them do sound professionals, mabibilang mo lang yung posters na nanonood lang ng show because of Dyson's sick-pack abs! hahaha all those "HE'S SO HOTTT" comments! i mean come on, yun lang ba nakikita nila ke Dyson? i have nothing against Kris Holden-Reid ha, but for me he's acting is a bit on a "ham" side. okay, physically he's perfect for the role, but sometimes whenever he's on a scene, feeling ko ala namang nabago sa portrayal niya. or maybe you can blame the writers siguro kasi sorry to say this, but they really massacred Dyson's character this 2nd season. kaya nga inis to the max mga Dybots eh. hopefully, they can redeem him this 3rd season. be the wolf that we loved him to be.

on the fight scenes, your right again, i was almost laughing my *** off especially on epi. 20 (Lachlan's Gambit) wherein their carrying those Flinstones clubs, i mean WTF? ano yun pamukpok lang, hahaha! and when the berserkers were attacking Dyson na, paisa-isa pa silang sumusuntok, they only gang-upped on him nung tumumba na yung iba, hilarious really! and that scene where the Garuda and Lachlan keep circling each other for almost five minutes, feeling ko i'm watching a Pinoy soap opera instead. kasi mas me time pa silang mag-insultuhan kesa mag sapakan, geesh!
as i said, FIRE THOSE FIGHT INSTRUCTORS! and upgrade those fight scenes to be more realistic and at the same time not too gory and violent. ay ewan, it's the producers' problem na, were only here to be entertained, di ba?

what to PEXed pa ba, how about your take on Zoie Palmer's being Lauren? is she the right choice? i won't ask about Ksenia being Kenzi, for i think SHE REALLY IS KENZI! can't picture anyone else on the role.

good FAE night! hey ubermensch, di ka pa rin ba tapos sa season 2? what say you, dude?

MIELLE (got to park my fingers, been typing from this keyboard since morning)

I'm actually a bit of a feminist so no offense taken, and I actually like that idea of a dream episode better than the one you previously mentioned. As you've said, it's much more realistic. As for Lauren, I doubt they'd kill her character off so that's nothing to worry about. Zoie's already a series regular so the only thing to be concerned about is how they'll be using her on the show and how they would develop her character as a whole.

And about Studio 23, I don't really know about that because I'm not really that familiar with the channel. But right now, I doubt any network would pick up the show for local airing, since it's obvious naman na hindi pa widely known yung show here in the Philippines. Siguro when more people get to know about it through Syfy, eh mas dadami ang Filipino peeps na makakaalam about the show.

As for the toning down, I think the idea is not far-fetched and very much possible, but like I've said, I haven't really noticed any significant changes on the show since it was picked up by Syfy so I'm not gonna start complaining muna. Michelle Lovretta left Lost Girl to work on The Secret Circle, if I remember correctly, and I also watch that show so I don't really know if I should be happy that she left the LG. I think Emily Andras did a pretty good job naman before so I just hope that she'll be able to put up with the show's hype and potential and be able to satisfy most of the fans this coming season.

And yes, there are quite a few videos on Youtube showing Anya Vimer (Zoie's character) being kick-*** and battling it off with Nikita. In fact, Zoie has actually done several projects na portraying a more badass character than LG's Lauren. She also appeared on another show called Instant Star, portraying a rock singer, and even got the chance to sing. Meron din sa Youtube nung song na kinanta niya on Instant Star. Dun naman sa action scenes, I don't really want to go as far as saying that they should fire the stunt coordinator and choreographers. It's hard to make a living and I don't really want to wish ill on other people. Wala rin naman kasi akong alam tungkol sa ginagawa nila. I mean, who knows, they might be working their asses off naman creating the action scenes, and there are also other factors that might be affecting how the action scenes are done on the show. Hindi naman siguro entirely nasa kanila yung decision on what to do eh. Pero natawa nga ako nung napansin ko yung clubs na ginamit nila dun sa episode that you've mentioned and the whole circling thing with Lachlan and the Garuda.

As for the vocal part of the LG fandom, ang masasabi ko lang is just like other fandoms, hindi maiiwasang magkaroon ng debates and discussions and even ship wars between the LG fans. Ang sa akin lang is sana naman maging civil and warranted yung mga sinasabi ng fans. Kasi di ba, kung makikipagdebate na rin lang naman ang mga fans sa isa't isa, eh dapat meron silang magaganda at logical arguments to present and they should be good sports from the start pa lang. I also know that the physical attributes of any TV show character can be appealing din, pero sana wag naman maging ganun kababaw ng fans and just like a character because of how he/she looks. Also, I think it's crazy that some fans couldn't even separate the characters from the actors/actresses. Some fans are even bordering na on being outright creepy, crazy, and obsessive eh. Pero there's nothing we can do about it, ganyan talaga ang bawat fandom.

As for Kris Holden-Ried, I think he's done okay naman eh. Personally, I don't really think he's that handsome, but his body is to die for. As for Dyson, he's okay naman for me as a character, but only when they are being consistent in writing him. For me, the writers are the ones who should be blamed for the character inconsistencies and for partly ruining Dyson as a character. Meron naman kasing times that I actually felt for Dyson eh. Here's to hoping they would make his characterization more consistent and better na in season 3.

As for Anna Silk, I also got the feeling at first that her character Bo should only be a bit older than Kenzi. But her portrayal grew on me quickly, since she's done well naman in getting in character IMO. As long as she acts well and in character, and as long as she doesn't look painfully old for the role, I'm not complaining. And I also agree that she seems to have great chemistry with her female costars. As for Ksenia, I actually think she's a bit different from LG's Kenzi. For me, she comes across as more professional, serious, and shy kasi than her character. But I don't really know her so it's just an assumption. And as for Zoie, I think she's done well din naman in terms of portraying Lauren. I even commend her for her acting in the [spoiler start]body-switching episode as Reynard[spoiler end]. And how can I forget the Morrigan! Grabe, even if she's not meant to be a likable character, natuwa ako sa kanya. Lalo na nung scene wherein [spoiler start]she was controlled by Vex! And the one with Bo too! Pansin ko nga eh, yung mga Dark Faeders mahilig sa kinky stuff LOL! Oops gotta put those in tags since ubermensch's not yet done with season 2.[spoiler end] Also, ang ganda nung girl na nagpeplay sa Morrigan in real life. IIRC, her name's Emmanuelle Vaugier and she's done a lot of bigtime projects na before working on LG. And another thing I noticed eh yung hilig ng show for leather jackets and dark outfits. Also, ang ganda rin ni Rachel Skarsten, the girl who's gonna play Tamsin. Although right now, I still think na wala siya masyadong sex appeal. But that may just be me though.

No problemo. Siguro kapag Mondays, mas makakapag-post ako, pero kapag middle of the week, hindi masyado. Enjoy your week ahead, bluedagger and mielle.

hi, Faenatics! (kahit so far 3 lang tayo dito sa thread, hehehe)

tama ka dyan, me too don't find KHR handsome, his body though is to-die-for. haha and he's acting, totally MEH for me. in fact some fans saw this dun ata sa isang sequel ng Underworld movie, they said his performance there is wooden. like he was just sprouting the dialogue out from his mouth with no emotions at all. basa ko lang yan, di ko naman napanood yung Underworld, so i don't care.

that Tamsin chick doesn't appeal to me, too. too Barbie-looking for me. i want someone who has an interesting face but at the same time oozing with charms and sex appeal. actually, in IMDB a lot of debates there questioning Anna Silk's role as Bo. some of the posters there said that the role of a succubus should be given to a drop-dead gorgeous younger gal, para mas believable daw as a charismatic lead of the show. again, walang patutunguhan yang debate na yan. kasi really beauty is in the eye of the beholder. me personally, doesn't picture a succubus to be super good looking, kasi nga how can she blend with where she's living now, if she is divinely, otherworldly beautiful, di ba? i think inggit lang mga posters dun, hahaha i hope this new girl will step up for the role, baka later on lamunin lang siya ng presence nung 3 (Bo, Lauren and Kenzi). i also read somewhere that the character will not last long (dying). but who knows, she might establish a sensible chemistry with Dyson e di na patayin character niya. here's hoping the showrunners hooked them up, para malayo na talaga si Dyson ke Bo. besides, Bo is totally whipped with Lauren now, it will be OOC if ever sa season 3 e biglang bumalik na naman siya ke Dyson.
i want this coming season to settle the triangle issue once and for all, let Bo have a closure with Dyson so that she can moved on with Lauren. their love story is more interesting anyway, plus yun na nga, the chemistry is off the charts. why waste it, di ba?

as of our girl, Zoie Palmer, well, what can i say, whoever chose her for the role of Dr. Lauren Lewis should be commended. siguro yung casting director was personally enchanted while Zoie's doing her audition skit. the gal is loaded! and a wisecrack, too. i wonder if she's married or dating somebody now. di kasi niri-reveal dun status nilla sa IMDB. there are lots of speculations and suspicions that she's gay daw because of one Twit pic na pinost niya sa twitter account niya. and then during the pre-finale show, nakita rin dun na she's wearing a ring on her left hand. prompting some fan*****es to assume that maybe she's engaged already or married to that gal they saw on that pic. anyway, i don't give a crap if she's married or engaged to a gal or a guy, it's her choice, i respect that. as long as she's doing a great job being Dr. Hotpants, super fine with me. okay, will check some of her scenes sa ibang shows in Youtube. what i saw actually was that 3 to 5 questions or something she had, wow! she looks great there! had me laughing with the interviewer while watching it. the girl really has a dry sense of humor! whoever she has for a GF or BF was one lucky son of a gun! i was totally drooling, i tell you! hahaha

oo nga, The Morrigan was a stunner, too. what's her name, Emmanuelle Vaugier ba? is she of French descent? exotic beauty niya actually. is she Canadian? i heard Anna Silk has a French blood in her, or am i wrong. from what i read sa bio niya that she can speak French and Spanish. wow! i luv those languages! just listening to someone speaking it, feeling ko i was being serenaded, hehehe especially French. one time we accidentally attended a Mass here in Dubai in French, i tell you it was so solemn, plus yun na nga the priest is babbling in French kaya i was really mezmerize. hehehe just imagine Anna Silk talking to you in French, siguro baka himitayin ako. hahaha of course, naka tape yun without her knowing it. para i have the luxury to have it on repeat mode sa iPod ko. fangirling mode now! hahaha

okay, here's my question for the day, actually it's been polled sa Afterellen na, but still itatanong ko pa rin sa inyong dalawa, between Anna, Ksenia and Zoie, who do you want to shag, marry and be in a relationship with? please answer in all honesty, no copying of answers allowed. hehehe will post my mine as soon as both of you posted yours.

    happy Fae day!

MIELLE IN (it's my day-off today, we can a have a roll on this thread)

Actually, there were really a few times that KHR's acting felt wooden to me. But I won't judge him for that just yet, since it's really hard to tell if it's actually him or the writing that's causing it. Kasi they haven't really fleshed out his character pa naman eh. I also think na even though they'd probably introduce Tamsin as a love interest for Dyson, eh hindi pa rin mawawala yung Dybo association. I doubt that the people behind the show wanna put themselves in a corner and write Bo off with someone permanently, kasi by doing so, it would be harder na for them to explore Bo's succubus nature. I'm sure it will still be a long time before they'd have Bo settling down with someone for good.

I also know about the speculations regarding Zoie's sexuality, including the whole Twit pic thing. Pero the whole suspicion thing almost always happens naman to people portraying gay characters eh. Besides, like you've said, it's not really our business. As long as she does her job well, I don't really care. Besides, we won't really know it until she talks about her sexuality herself.

Yes, the actress that plays the Morrigan is Emmanuelle Vaugier. She's a Canadian actress and she's also fluent in French. I like the French language too, and I'm really hoping I could learn it soon. As for Spanish, it sounds good to me too. I know how to speak and write in Spanish din pero it's not actually that hard. In fact, it's actually one of the easiest languages to learn since it closely resembles naman the English language and is a phonetic language.

Haha, shag, marry, and be in a relationship with? I don't really know about those things but for the sake of fun and games, I'll answer na rin. Hmm, it's a tough question for me but hypothetically speaking, I guess I'll just shag Anna's character, marry Ksenia's, and be in a relationship with Zoie's. I answered in terms of their characters ah, since I really find it weird and creepy to talk about the actual people like that.

  11. #31
me, i will answer in terms of them being them, hhmm, let me see
tough choice indeed, pero here goes:

SHAG - definitely Anna (she has the curves, right?)
RELATIONSHIP WITH - Ksenia (i'm a sucker for everything exotic, luv her eyes actually, and she's Russian!)
MARRY - oh definitely Zoie (sorry, but i have a huge girlcrush on her, so sue me hehehe)

if it's in character naman, what can i say, i think my answers are the same. hahaha

as of Zoie's sexual preference, siguro nga kasi she's playing a lesbian character kaya those fan*****es are endlessly speculating that she belong to their team. anywho, as i've said i don't care. i like her as she is, being Lauren or whatever character she tries to portray, i'm still a fan.

hey, what is this i read from other blogs that it seems that KHR is tweeting flirtingly with that Tamsin actress? basa mo ba to? the girl auditioned with him, maybe others' assumption that they will try to hook him up with this chick is true. anyway, sana nga totoo. i want wolfboy to be out of the B/L equation. those Dybots need to move on. i'm pretty confident that my Doccubus is END GAME.
sorry to burst their bubbles. as i've said i want closure, they can seal it with a steel door, padlocked or even cemented it for good measure. hahaha

you speak Spanish? well, my dear, you never ceased to surprised me! siguro it would be nice if we could watch Lost Girl in French or Spanish, no? without the subtitles, ha, para we will just try to understand na lang what they're saying thru their actions. hahaha at least, we can hear them conversing in French, luv it!

so Emmanuelle Vaugier is Canadian, and fluent in French (as half of Canadians, i think) ha? i knew it, but she guested in US shows din di ba? anyway, she's rocking The Morrigan role. again, kudos to the casting director for hiring her. perfect choice indeed!

as of the wardrobe in the show, oh, totally loving it! all of them look good in leather, even Trick!

Bo settling down soon? not this coming season, definitely. we're still 3 to 4 seasons more (fingers & toes crossed) before that happens. basta ba this season 3 e it's Doccubus' turn, i won't complain.

okay, let's do the male cast, hypothetically, who do you want to be as a Fae? Dyson, Hale or Trick? i hope it's not a tough one, ha?

your immediate answers on this will be highly appreciated. hehehe

    MIELLE (still in, obviously)

  12. #32
Yes, I also know about those tweets between KHR and Rachel Skarsten. But I don't really want to give those much meaning. Who knows, they might just like each other's company or they might be doing it for PR purposes. Or they might be intentionally flirting with each other, but I don't really care nor mind. All I know is that KHR already has a son and was/is probably married daw. Pero I don't really care as long as they do their jobs well.

It's also quite possible that they'll try to shake things up a bit and test the waters regarding the pairings or ships on the show. Pag maganda ang reception or reaction ng LG fans kay Tamsin, there's a bigger chance that they'll keep that character for good. Same with her relationship with the other characters, siguro pag nakita nila yung chemistry and yung positive reaction ng fans regarding her and the other characters eh iextend nila yung interactions ni Tamsin with the others, and even create a new ship with her.

Yes, I also like the wardrobe choices on the show. Pero sana paminsan-minsan they'd also do without all the leather and monochromatic stuff that the characters wear for a nice change naman. Oo nga, just like I've said, I doubt they'd make Bo settle down soon on the show because they'll just be writing her character off into a corner by doing that.

And regarding your question, I'd probably go for Hale since he has cool powers and is the heir to his clan. Ayokong maging isang hairy wolf nor maging blood sage eh.

  13. #33
good answer! same with me, i think i go for Hale, too! the guy is of noble blood, and he can really 'blow' a whistle! hahaha

no, no hairy wolf for me, too. kaya nga i'm Team Edward through and through eh. oops! there goes the Twilight reference.

as of Trick's power, nah, i wouldn't go there, not liking having to cut myself each time something or someone screwed up the future. i think bumagay naman yung character ke Rick Howland.
    kaya okay na yun.

that's one of my wishes, too. the changing of wardrobe choices for the characters. i want them to dress up as normal as they can be. we got a glimpse of it sa 1.12 (Dis)Members only. wherein little Bo-Bo sashaying in a summer dress and all. yun lang gusto ko sa episode na yun. and Dyson, for the first time look cleaned-up there, what do you know! hehehe

there's a scene in 2.12 Masks, where Lauren walks-in with Nadia in tow for Bo's birthday, that she's wearing this halter black dress. hey, she looks good there! kaya lang it would have been dramatic if it's red, no? for sure Bo will have a hard time veering away her eyes from her! hahaha luv her reactions though when Hotpants arrive with her recently un-cursed GF, she didn't even bother to greet them properly! i really luv a very jealous Bo!

how about we talk about something else, let's do the WHAT IF's.

WHAT IF: 1. Lauren is a secretly half Fae/human being? will she have a bigger role in the Fae universe?

    2. she was really destined to be with Bo, like a prophecy or something? how would this affect the Fae laws which they say they follow by the book?

    3. Lost Girl was cancelled after season 3? NAH! scrap that one! it won't happen anyway hahaha

    3.

  14. #34
    Speaking of the what if's...

I don't really think Lauren can be secretly half-human, half-Fae. But who knows, anything can happen on a sci-fi show, right? And the idea that the characters might encounter a half-human and half-Fae being is quite interesting, to be honest. And if it turns out in a prophecy that Doccubus are meant for each other, many things would definitely be affected, especially since Lauren is human. Also, it should be taken into consideration that long after she dies, Bo would still be alive since she's Fae. I also hope that LG doesn't get cancelled after season 3, since the show has a lot of potential and there's still a lot that can be done on the show.

And now, it's my turn to ask some questions.

    1. If you ever discover that you're special just like Bo, but not necessarily exactly like Bo, will you choose a side? If yes, which side will you be on? If not, why?
    2. If you'll be given the chance to choose a special ability, what would your chosen power be?
    3. What are your favorite scenes from both seasons and which episodes are they from?
    4. Lastly, if you'll be given the chance to change one thing, and one thing only from any season, what will you change?

As for myself, these are my answers:

    1. I'd do the same thing that Bo did and that is, remain non-allianced, and for the exact same reasons. IMO, it's perfectly understandable for the Fae to have their own laws, but the laws should be made so that individuals are still given the freedom that they deserve and are still capable of making their own personal choices. The whole LF and DF issue kasi creates a divide between the Fae and makes them weaker. For example, the idea that no Dark Faeder can marry or get together with a Light Faeder. That is just one of the things that don't sit well with me.
    2. I want an ability that would let me manipulate people's thoughts and use them to my advantage. It's bad, I know. But hey, it's never gonna happen naman eh. Also, a girl can dream, right?
    3. I'll go with Season 1, episode 10, with the speed dating scene wherein Kenzi delivered one of her best and funniest lines ever. I also liked the body-switching scenes and two Doccubus scenes too, specifically the one with the whole "breathless" dialogue and the one wherein Lauren touched and cupped Bo's face after Bo said "I love you... all so much."
    4. Tough question but I think I'll just change how abruptly they introduced Nadia and killed her off. Or if not, maybe I'll just go with them letting Ciara live since the character's grown on me.

  15. #35
    hi, bluedagger dear!

well, i raised that question because there are some theories in the fandom right now that the necklace that Lauren's wearing as a symbol of her being owned by The Ash may have a huge significance in the Fae world. if you re-watched episode 8 of season1 (Vexed), Bo saw a necklace of this type from Trick's cabinet, telling him that Lauren is wearing the same one. in which Trick replied that "Fae doesn't employ humans, they own them" to that effect. if he has the same kind of necklace, does it have a deeper connection between the owner or the wearer? was it symbolic? did The Ash knew more of Lauren that hasn't been revealed yet? can be, right? we know she was forced to be in an indentured servitude to the Light Fae (because of Nadia), but why her, really? i mean this is a sci-fi show, the writers can explore this arc to settle the issue of Lauren being human once and for all. the half Fae/human hybrid possible story arc is one potential mythology they can expand. well, as long as Zoie Palmer is locked to be Lauren up to 2 or more seasons, kelangang mag-isip na sila kung ano pa pwede isulat for her character development. and of course, since Doccubus seems to be on path to be the OTP of this show, well, there goes the best scenarios for you.

as of your questions, here are my answers:

    1. if i discovered myself to be Fae, i would choose to align myself
with the Light Fae. why? i think they are more tolerant with
humans and seems to live with them peacefully. unlike
the Dark Fae, they see humans only as "food, pets", or
whatever (frankly, i'm offended by this hehehe). you're
right, the two factions seems to be a divide of the Fae world,
siguro nga because there are Faes who were not agreeable
with living side by side with lowly creatures like humans
(arrogant ******!). added bonus, i can seek medical advice
with their Chief Medical Officer, the human doctor, Lauren
Lewis. hehehe (i know kinda shallow, but hey it's just a dream)
does the DF has their own CMO to tend to their medical needs?
maybe this season 3 we will get to know that.

    2. ahh, Fae power ha? well, since you've chosen the mind-
reading na, i think i want an ability to travel from one place
to another (teleportation ba yun?) with just one or two
clap of my hands, voila! i'm in Rome na! no hassle of
travelling by air, sea or land. and no visa needed, too.
cool! oh, the perks of being Fae!

    3. fave scenes, easy, 1.08 (Vexed). i think that's the ultimate
Lost Girl episode. lots of action (Bo's duel with Vex) as well
those on the sheets (intimate scenes with Bo/Lauren and
Bo/Dyson). full of angst and drama, you can also see on
this epi the distinction of Bo's relationship with her lovers.
i also luv the epi wherein Bo goes super mega Succubus to
save her dear Lauren (2.08 Death Didn't Become Him), that's
a big reveal on Bo's untapped power. and yes, i also luv
those choices of yours, the "i love you ... all... so much"
dialogue of Bo (boy, that's an upper and a downer at the same
time hahaha) and of course, the "breathless" one. what a
Doccblock (this time from Hotpants) that one! Bo was so
entranced by Lauren there, you can feel her readiness to
reveal to Lauren what she really feels for her. writers, you
    tease! luv it!

    4. where on the same page on this one, i think the writers
really botched the Nadia storyline, big time. siguro nga
she was just written as a plot device to prolong the angst of
the Doccubus relationship. they could have stretched the
plot for us to understand how in the world she was infected
by the damn Garuda! we were literally left hanging there,
and let us drew our own conclusions. what a big letdown,
talaga. i was also hoping sana of some scenes with her and
Lauren during their out of town trip. we get to see sana the
conflicted Lauren missing her favorite Succubus. how Nadia
detected that her GF is not into her anymore, such a waste of
possible storyline to the Doccubus relationship as well as
the Garuda arc. damn those Lost Girls writers! those could
have been monumental for the show! and yes, i would like
Ciara to live, too. she could have been a kick-*** character
since she's a fairy warrior and been living for centuries.
kaya nga i really don't get the "wolves mate for life" storyline
crap of Dyson. he knew/loved her before pa, so how come Bo
suddenly became his one true mate? nahihilo talaga ako sa
plot na to. i really hope that they scrap this storyline and let
Dyson love someone who's more attune with him in character
and in Fae traits. maybe this Tamsin chick is written to be
    the one.

there it goes, now it's my turn. since were done with the WHAT
IF's, how about with do the WHAT'S NEXT.

what's next with: 1. Kenzi (her Fae allergy on her right arm,
courtesy from an accidental pouring of a goo
    from The Norn's place)

    2. Trick, being Bo's grandpa. (and from what i
suspect, knew a lot of things pa)

    3. Dyson (his possible hook-up with Tamsin)

    4. Hale (a possible Ash this season 3)

    and lastly:

    5. Bo and Lauren (in a possible committed
    relationship this season 3)

okay, hope our next discussions is as revealing as this one.
    hehehe

MIELLE (sorry to reply to you late, just came in from work
    actually)

  16. #36
I think there's really nothing more to the whole necklace thing. I think it was just a symbol of the Light Fae's power and control on Lauren, since they "own" her. Trick obviously is a collector and trader and has a wide array of mystical stuff in his possession so it's really no surprise that he also has one of those necklaces in his keep. They also didn't really address why the LF actually chose Lauren but I'm guessing it's because she was the only human doctor who was able to diagnose or detect what was happening to the Fae people in Congo. Maybe because she was able to come up with a cure to the disease, they decided to keep her for good and cursed Nadia to make her commit herself to them.

As for the Light Fae, I think even though they're more tolerant of humans than the DF, they still think of humans as subordinates and they can still be shady. In fact, it's already given that both LF and DF value the secrecy of their identities more than anything else, so I think they'd be willing to do even the darkest and most evil of stuff to keep it that way.

And yes, I actually felt that a lot of things weren't right with the whole Nadia thing. Her introduction and death were so abrupt which is why I personally wasn't able to connect or relate to her character much. We weren't able to see much of a glimpse and make sense of her and Lauren's relationship and her motivations so it was probably a bit hard for people to sympathize with her character. And the whole Garuda possession thing wasn't also addressed that much.

In terms of Dyson and Ciara's relationship, I think they already felt something there even before her husband Stefan died. It eventually became more but before that, it was obviously not enough for Dyson to give himself up completely for his friend Stefan and subsequently, Ciara. That is why when Ciara learned about Dyson sacrificing his love for Bo, she became upset. She was upset not just because she learned that Dyson wouldn't be able to love again but also because he was able to do for Bo what he couldn't many centuries ago for Stefan and her. IMO, it was clear that Dyson loved Bo completely before, maybe even more so than Ciara, although he also acted like an immature, self-loathing, and possessive jerk a few times. Although come to think of it, Dyson's sacrifice may come off as sweet, selfless, and romantic, but was there really no other way to help Bo aside from that? Bakit kelangan magresort agad siya dun? Oh well, what's done is done and it was the writers' choice to put it that way.

As for the next season, I'm really curious of what they'll be doing to Kenzi. Some are speculating that the dual-personality storyline will be giving us a good and an evil Kenzi. Either way, I'm so looking forward to that and to see a different side to Kenzi and Ksenia's acting. And Trick definitely still knows more about Bo than he's making some people think. IIRC, he even told Bo that he'll be telling her stuff later on, when the time is right and when he's ready. Hale can also be the next Ash but it's not really that plausible since he's still too soft and lacking in experience and maturity to hold a position like that. Lastly, I think Bo and Lauren still have a lot going for them and will still go through a lot of good and bad things relationship-wise. I doubt they'd keep them together for long without creating some drama for the show.

  17. #37
your right, i think the Doccubus ship will sail on a very rough sea. if the suits wants to extend the series more, well, Bo and Lauren can angst their way to another season and more, i'm all for that! basta ba were confident that they will be the END GAME later on as the series closed. no complaining.

the Kenzi dual-character would be exciting. considering it's Ksenia who will be portraying it. this would be our chance to really see her acting range. she's rocking the Kenzi role so far, let's see if she's that effective in a darker, more challenging one.

yes, grandpops has still a lot of storytelling time to do for his granddaughter. i think the guy was just taking his time on how to do this with Bo. he obviously wanted to protect her from all this Fae politics BS, or maybe he already knew that his granddaughter will play the biggest role in the Fae world for the next millenium. baka siya yung original na ORACLE, di lang natin alam, hehehe.

as of Hale, i agree, the guy is not that ready to be the next Ash. he lacks the chutzpah kumbaga for the position, mas stronger in character pa nga sis niya, si Val for the role, anyway, actually i don't give a damn kung sino man magiging next ASH(hat)! what really concerns me was Lauren's status if ever they chose the new Ash. will her enslavery continue or freedom is in the offing? there's another theory in the net again regarding this, remember in episode 20 (Lachlan's Gambit)? there's a scene there that he's giving his subordinate a rolled document or something, saying "you know what to do." fans are interpreting that scene that maybe that was Lauren's ticket to freedom, again, haka-haka na naman.

okay, off topic. what about the songs in the show? are you loving it just like me? actually, i have downloaded some of the songs featured in the show so far. one of them is actually my ring tone now (Lose It by Austra). if you remember the 2nd love scene of Bo and Lauren (epi. 2.06), that's the one they used. cool song really!
    bagay na bagay sa scene!

as of Dyson giving up his 'love' for Bo, well, yeah, it's romantic, selfless and sweet, but is that all he can offer? i think he was written to be really the 'hearthrob' of the show, unfortunately it fell flat on their faces. KHR is not that effective as an actor to translate that to us. i'm not saying he's not a good choice to be Dyson, actually he is, physically that is. he's lucky though that we're blaming the writers for his character retrogression and not his performance in the show. again, just an opinion. i hope he redeems hinself this coming season, if he wants to be in the game again for Bo's affection. wolfy has to stop acting like a pathetic teen-age boy and be the alpha wolf his fans are glorifying him to be.
as of now the triangle is lopsided (with Lauren on the pole position). honestly, di ako sold dun sa they will still play up the love angle thing. when it's obvs naman that majority of the fans are pro-Doccubus. are they really testing the fans' loyalty for this show na kelangan pa nilang paikutin ulit yung triangle, hexagon or septagon. it's tiring sa totoo lang. minsan nga i'm watching the show not for the plot at all, i just want to see the 'pretty' being displayed on the screen by the two ladies (Anna & Zoie). hahaha
    just to color me happy!

MIELLE (if you don't have the songs, i can e-mail it to you, just PM me your e-mail add)

  18. #38
I didn't really know about the whole rolled document speculation but I guess I'll just wait and see if it will be brought up on the show again. About the music, I think they're okay. I don't actually know most of them but I think they were good naman and were used accordingly on the show.

As for the love triangle or love dilemmas going on the show, I think it's inevitable naman especially if the show's gonna go on for a long time. I think the viewers' reactions will still depend on how good the writing will be and how fresh the acting and dialogues will be. Basta ba may character and plot consistency and quality yung writing and acting, I'll be find with those. As long as hindi rin nila gawing sole or main focus yung love aspect of the show eh I think the show will be okay.

  19. #39
yeah, hope that document has a significance this coming season.
i wish it concerns Lauren's enslavement to the Light Fae. it's about time they put an end to this storyline. slavery is a very touchy subject. personally, whenever they brought this up in the show, i literally cringed. Bo was right, nobody owns us.

another issue they need to clear is why Lachlan was immune to Bo's power? does this explain that Succubi's power are ineffective to a certain clan of Fae? Lachlan belong to the reptilian clan (Naga), who's been fighting the Garuda for centuries, they recognized Trick as the Blood King, but from what i understood some kind of a renegade Fae who's sole purpose was to grab power given the opportunity. but as the story goes redeem themselves by helping Bo (Lachlan's venom) in killing the Garuda. again the writers failed to explain this to us. they just shoved it in our throats and do the "one plus one equals two" by ourselves. anyway, here's hoping that this plotline this coming season will be thoroughly explored. it will be an interesting twist to Bo's story being the champion of the Fae. she may not be as powerful as we thought her to be. or baka naman me phobia si Bo sa mga ahas? hehehe

you're right again regarding the love angle, fanbases from both teams (Team Dyson and Team Lauren) has been expecting this. we just hope they play it up consistently in a well balanced story progression. sana nga the showrunner of the show (Emily Andras) together with the show's writing team find time to review the previous episodes. para naman they can detect what are the loopholes of the storyline na kelangan nilang tutukan. they're on their third season, discerning fans will not be as forgiving if they tripped again. i'm glad that this season they are shooting the epis as it comes. at least the cast can play their roles consistently. unlike last season or even in season 1, they shot the epis randomly. the actors' performance suffered together with the show's storyline. not to mention the so-so editing and unimpressive special effects.

anyway, flaws and all, i still love the show. others may consider it as cheesy and so 90's (hahaha, got to laugh on the comments of the other bloggers sa various websites), i'm still hooked! never has i've been so invested in a TV show since the X-Files before (i'm a huge Mulder-Scully 'shipper). in fact i have the complete sets of DVD of it from season 1-9. sana the show will last up to 10seasons, kahit hanggang 7 lang, i'll be happy.

if there's one thing i like from Lost Girl is the musical scoring of the show. since it's a Canadian production, most of the songs they used are from Canadian artists. what a way to promote their music industry! nationalistic, eh? hey, most of them are catchy, ha? a bit different from the American sounds we hear on radio these days. i like it!

okay, let's have a WISH LIST this season 3:

wish no. 1: that there will be lots of love scenes (sweet or explicit, depending on the writers' mood actually hahaha) between Bo and Lauren. please Lost Girls writers give us some skin! even if you ruin it again with deceit and whatever lame plot devise you might think to separate them again. at least, let them enjoy their long overdue relationship first.

wish no. 2: Lauren will be finally free from her enslavement. i prefer Bo to do the bargaining with The Ash. she hasn't ask anything from both the LF and DF, it's high time for both factions to honor her as their Champion. and maybe give her a price or something. Lauren's freedom can be that 'price.'

wish no. 3: Dyson and Tamsin hook-up must be in the horizon. i don't want him for Kenzi. some of his fans desperately associates him with her. i prefer the Kenzi/Hale dynamic. since KHR seems to be developing a tweeting chemistry with RS, that's a good sign. there will be no problem for me, if ever they really hooked them up. yay!

wish no. 4: that Bo will finally meet his Dark Fae father. and also that her mother (Aoifie, did i spelled it right) will make an appearance again. they have a lot of explaining to do. hahaha

wish no. 5: that there will be at least one episode in season 3 that we get to see a "family scene" between Bo and Trick. of course, with Kenzi (Bo's BFF) and Lauren (Bo's GF) as extensions. di ba cute? Bo's wish to have a 'real family' is fulfilled at least even without her Fae parents.

what about you? what are your wishes for this coming season?

    happy FAE night to you!

MIELLE (a bit tired today, too much work, hay!)

  20. #40
I don't have any wish lists for the upcoming season aside from wanting them to come up with decent storylines, twists, mythological stuff, and acting scenes on the show. In terms of performance, I think the actors and actresses have been doing okay to well naman eh. I think the editing's okay too but that the special effects need more work.

About the Dyson-Kenzi ship some fans are on, I think the characters did look good together naman and had chemistry too, but I think it's more of the sibling and friendly type of chemistry and relationship. Personally, I also like the Kenzi-Hale pairing more. But I'm not really the type of person who likes to ship all the characters with somebody because I think hindi naman kelangan lahat ng characters are in some type of relationship or love dilemma eh. Drama and interesting stuff naman can happen without always making use of romantic plot devices.

Also, I'm looking forward too to seeing more of the family dynamic on the show and how they'd bring back the Aife (pronounced as "Eefa") character. Although when did they ever mention ba that Bo's father is Dark Fae? If that's true, I must've missed or forgotten about it. And was it implicitly shown ba na Bo's power had no effect on Lachlan?

Also, about the half-human half-Fae being we posted about before, I just remembered that the show already had one, in the episode with the whole Leprechaun father-and-son thing. It was also mentioned there that if both parents are Fae, the child will inherit or possess Fae abilities, but if one is Fae and the other's only human, the child wouldn't be inheriting any Fae ability. That is why the young guy in the episode was ordinary. So bringing a half-human half-Fae character on the show might get boring since there are already two other human main characters, but the interesting idea would be what if they found out about a different kind of half-human half-Fae person, someone who still possessed Fae powers even if he/she is only half-Fae. That would be quite puzzling and could raise a lot more questions or mysteries for the show.
