After leading by as much as 11-points midway thru the final quarter, the Ateneo Blue Eagles thwarted a late 4th quarter rally by the Letran Knights to capture their 1st win of the tournament. After a stalemate at 49 with 4:57 minutes left in the final stretch, Kiefer Ravena quickly answered with a 3-pointer to push the Blue Eagles back in the driver’s seat at 52-49 with 4:39 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Greg Slaughter’s 2 crucial free throws gave Ateneo a 3-point cushion, 54-51, with seconds remaining in the clock including 15 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.
Keifer Ravena had 13-points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while Tonino Gonzaga had 7-points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Eagles. Jam Cortes top scored for the Knights with 15-points and 8 rebounds, followed by Kevin Racal and Mark Cruz with 10-points each. The Blue Eagles had 53 rebounds and 22 turnovers while the Knights had 38 rebounds with only 14 turnovers.
    Televised ba ang FilOil?

I'm a bit surprised Salva and Buenafe did not have a very big impact. Buenafe I understand, but Salva?

They seem to be having a hard time with their games recently. If this type of performance continue say bye bye bye to 5-peat. Other teams in UAAP seem to be stronger. Likewise shooting percentage of other teams are way better than Ateneo. They don't have the needed shooter for uaap season 75. They might have the inside game with slaughter but they don't have a defensive specialist (hints of Baclao and Kirk) this time around. They don't have an able point guard as well. My prediction 3rd place in UAAP 75 if they don't improve.

they can play this sloppy and STILL win the UAAP MBT Championship. thats just how good they are. my prediction -- 5peat in the BAG.

Their sloppy play caused them to lose against DLSU and NU in the Filoil. Therefore, do not expect that type of game to win us championships.

Fortunately, Norman Black is very good with adjustments.

They say Von Pessumal specialized in defence during his junior stint. Let's see what happens.

Best Player of today's Game is none other than.....

Frank Golla for his buzzer beater to end the third quarter but on UST's basket

Imagine if he did not shoot it Ateneo would have won by 1 pt
