stop the food aid sa nokor. bahala ang china sa kanila.
Bloomberg News has been rerunning a feature film for months now on the success of Paypal co-founder Elon Musk, an engineer and entrepreneur of Space X that started designing its own rocket engines in an effort to salvage the parts and make them land safely for easy recovery and retrieval.
Unlike the Nkor rocket that has a risk of dropping fragments in a large area, the Space X team got a way to navigate the falling debris and keep them intact and safe for another launching.
The commies should not believe in their own propaganda and at keep abreast with the times before announcing to show off outdated hardware.
No need to convince you. People tend to believe that socialist countries are growing when the system fails, just like what happened to other (former) socialist countries. Before that they believe that people there were maltreated, to the extent that the oldies were processed into msg - 'vetsin', a red scare.
Is democratic and communism contradicting? What about capitalism and democratic?

doesn't really matter to me whether the nokors call themselves democratic... that's not the issue i'm curious about.
what i would like to be enlightened about is your point on nokor "political and economic growth"... care to elucidate?
thanks.
The answer is there, just mixed it up with quoted message.
Well, do you have personal encounter with people from Nokor? I mean the ordinary citizen. They are not rich, BUT do you believe they are starving (Let's compare them to Filipinos)? Do you believe that they hate their government and given a chance they will leave Nokor?
AFAIK, based from personal conversation, they are proud of their system, they love their leaders. Because if not, rebellion will arise. An argument that strict and violent government scare people to resist is nonsense and unrealistic. Human nature of survival teach us to fight whenever it is necessary. Look at Iraq and it's people willing to die against US aggressors, until this very moment.
oic... interesting view. i take it you've been to north korea? i haven't, nor have i spoken to any north korean. lucky you...
but don't you think a repressive regime that's determined to stay in power will do all it can to put down any resistance? the kim dynasty, with chinese help, has made sure nobody challlenges its authority, imposed thru fear and intimidation. like public executions.
http://www.youtube.com/v/SAQE7kDwPZY
for sure there are north koreans who are against their beloved leaders, but they do not have enough resources and capability to fight off the more powerful regime. after all, a ragtag citizen's resistance army can't go head to head with the nokor armed forces, one of the largest in the world. that's a bit strange, isn't it? that a country of nokor's size could have an army that's over a million strong...
perhaps in time, the majority of nokors will have enough courage and the means to do away with their present condition. for the moment, they suffer the oppression. that is the reality.
and why does the nokor regime restrict the interaction of foreign visitors with the local populace? may itinatago ba? ano ba ang kinakatakutan nila? why is nokor society so closed off to the world?
do i believe the north korean people are starving? maybe the best authority to answer that is the World Food Program. the country couldn't feed itself. if not for the WFP, there would have been a greater humanitarian disaster in nokor than being reported...
please read this: http://www.trust.org/alertnet/crisis...h-korea-hunger
strange that you seem to be unaware of the problem of hunger and malnourishment in north korea. dami jang news reports, even youtube vids, that document this issue.

idk. is there a happier side of north korea that i am not aware of, well aside from those massive parades and sing and dance extravaganzas extolling the cult of the kim dynasty?
Why rebel when SoKor and the USA is one DMZ and one boat ride away, respectively?
recall that the USSR failed, and disintegrated- not so much from armed rebellion, but from internal collapse. once that happened, all its european sattelite states collapsed as well. they didn't remain socialists or communists, but chose to be democracies. as soon as the atmosphere of fear melted away, the people became emboldened and freed themselves.
example: once the east germans saw the weakness of honecker's regime, they rose up. same with the romanians and ceausescu.
ganun din ang mangyayari sa nokor. sa ngayon, hawak ng rehimeng kim jong un ang mga leeg ng mga north koreans. take out the fear factor, then kim jong un's regime is a goner. the nokor people have been conditioned to believe in and revere the kim dynasty under the barrel of a gun. remove the gun, then the nokor people will no longer tolerate their suffering. its the survival instinct that's at play.
for a rebellion to be successful, there must be critical mass. remember edsa1? that succeeded because all the forces- civilian, military, religious- came together. the fear factor was gone, and the courage to resist marcos swelled.
hindi lamang tapang ng tao ang kinakailangan. how successful would a crowd of courageous nokors be to march against a regime that is ruthless and unafraid to use force? think tiananmen.
north korea has a population of 24.5M. its armed forces is 1.2M strong. in comparison, the philippines has a population of 93M, with an armed force of 125K. think about those ratios.
@nelsito-
the state of the "economic progress" of north korea, as seen from the night sky, fyi.
di ko finotoshop yan.
Here is a night time satellite image of Socialist North Korea directly compared with Capitalist South Korea.
===========
Satellite image shows Kim Jong Il's dark legacy
The world's most secretive country is also one of its darkest. This satellite image shows night in North Korea. The capital Pyongyang, near the western coast, is one of the only places in the country with electricity. At the top of the picture, the illuminations show cities in China. At the bottom right, Kyushu and the southern islands of Japan.
The bright line in the middle of the peninsula marks the demilitarised zone between North and South Korea, and the southern capital, Seoul, is the blaze of white just across the border. Night-time luminosity is thought to correlate with economic prosperity, by which measure North Korea is practically penniless.

North Korea’s Economic Failure in One Picture
North Korea is notoriously secretive. But it can’t hide from satellites. Here are nighttime images showing the amount of light coming from the Korean peninsula.
As Donald Rumsfeld once said, “North Korea is dark”:
This image comes from “Measuring Economic Growth from Outer Space” by J. Vernon Henderson, Adam Storeygard, and David N. Weil, who demonstrate how light can be used as a proxy for measuring economic growth in places with poor economic data.

Ang layo ng argumento mo. Pinagpipilitan mo talagang takot ang dahilan kung bakit walang nag-aalsa.
Ang what's that on bold? When they are not commie or socialist then they are democracies? Men, you don't know what democracy is.
Tired of this conversation. Puro palusot ka lang.
Yet, Sir Nelsito you made the claim that NoKor's economy is not down in the dumps. Do you have any actual facts to back up that claim?
di ba talaga namang takot ang mga north korean people sa pwersa at kapangyarihan ng komunistang rehimen? isn't north korea a police state? how much freedom do the people enjoy? where are the free nokor newspapers? websites? democratic institutions? can nokors travel outside of their country as freely as pinoys do?
this nokor prosperity you speak of, where is it? nobody can see it from the sky. what nokor brands compete with samsung, lg, hyundai?
i watch arirang tv, and i would have liked to watch its north korean counterpart, pero walang nokor channel that's internationally broadcast. bakit wala, despite nokor's advances in satellite and missile technology? maybe they have nothing else to show to the world other than their military might? walang n-kpop?
do you know what kim jong un's message was in his inaugural speech today? "military first." it is not food security or the national economy that will be prioritized- it is the military, as it has always been since kim jong un's grandfather "founded" the nokor state. know why? because it is the military that props up the regime...
then please explain to me your idea of what democracy is, or at least why north korea should be considered as an ideal democratic society.Ang what's that on bold? When they are not commie or socialist then they are democracies? Men, you don't know what democracy is.
