Angel is Gerald's 'dream leading lady'

HOW lucky naman daw Angel Locsin is for having two foremost and much desired leading men identified with her.

Angel, of course, is referring to Aga Muhlach and John Lloyd Cruz.

Aga was Angel’s leading man sa pelikulang In The Name of Love which was an official blockbuster when it was shown last year, and also won for her her first best actress trophy in the last Star Awards for Movies ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).

At heto pa, on April 28, the PASADO, an organization of academicians will also award her with a best actress trophy. Yes, for the same movie.

The awards ceremony which will be held at the Angelicum College Auditorium will see Angel receiving her best actress trophy with Anne Curtis, na naka-tie niya for the same honor.

Nanalo naman si Anne for her performance in No Other Woman.

Both films, if you noticed, were produced by Star Cinema which will be named best producer, dahil sila ang producer ng In The Name of Love.

In The Name of Love, likewise, won for Aga his third best actor trophy, as he was already awarded the same honor by the Star Awards and the Enpress, in the Pasado this year.

According to Angel, her first blockbuster movie, Unofficially Yours, for this year, si John Lloyd naman ang kanyang leading man.

John Lloyd, likewise, was her partner sa hanggang ngayon pinag-uusapang series niyang Imortal.

Likewise, tuwang-tuwa si Angel sa recent survey na ipinalaganap ng TNS, kinu-consider na global leader in custom market research which continually implement the TRU Global Teen or Teens Research Unlimited Program, itinuturing naman na isang fully integrated project na nagre-represent ng true collaboration among “on the ground researchers.”

In what these researchers’ gathered from a survey among 35,000 teens at young adults across five continents, for them the top five tv and movie celebrities among the females are Angel Locsin, Marian Rivera, Kim Chiu at Sarah Geronimo.

Kapamilya Stars Dominate 43rd Box Office Entertainment Awards 2012!

Kapamilya stars shine in the 43rd Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Box Office Entertainment Awards 2012.

Vice Ganda is hailed as the Phenomenal Box Office Star, a new category debuting this year. This is for Vice's movie, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin which now holds the honor of being the highest-grossing Pinoy film of all time.



Another new category this year is the Box Office Tandem which is rightfully given to Enteng Ng Ina Mo Box office tandem, Ai Ai Delas Alas and Vic Sotto.

Meanwhile, Derek Ramsay is this year's Box Office King while his No Other Woman co-stars Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes are named Box Office Queens.

SA LAUNCHING ng Snickers ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign na ginanap sa SM Mall of Asia Music Hall, special guests sina Azkals keeper Aly Borromeo, striker Phil Younghusband, at midfielder James Young Husband. Bilang atleta, kaila-ngang nasa kundisyon ang kanilang mga katawan upang makapag-perform sila nang maayos.

Tinanong ng media si Phil kung magkasama sila ni Angel noong Holy Week. Nasa Hong Kong pala ang dalaga kasama ang family nito. Ganu’n din ang football player. Priority ng binata ang kanyang pamilya. Ikinuwento nito na nagpunta sila sa La Union for training program.

Ayon kay Phil, pinagtanggol ni Angel ang Azkals sa mga bumabatikos sa kanila. I feel very happy I have Angel to defend the team. She defended everyone involved and she’s very supportive in me. It’s great to have her around.”

Status of your relationship with Angel? “Still there’s no status because right now, if I say something… everybody is happy. Everything is getting well so, there’s no need to change anything. So, we’re happy, as written before, I’m still happy. Right now, we take one step at a time. We don’t try to rush anything. We’re very happy so, when the time comes, we’ll see. Love is getting stronger. Everytime, more and more I’m in love with Angel.”

Is there any chance you may appear in Toda Max with Angel? “I think, mas kumportable ako sa loob ng field. It’s more difficult to act. I admire Angel before, but the sort things she goes through I really admire her specially after winning all those awards. I’m really really proud of her. We’re very lucky and very blessed, she won an award, I won an award. She also congratulate me and she’s very proud of what I have done.”

What can you say about the performance of Angel in the film In The Name of Love? “I think, she’s very good in the movie, but I thought she’s even better in UnOfficially Yours. I really admire what she does.”

Did you feel jealous about the lovescene of John Lloyd Cruz and Angel? “Not really, because the acting is very clear. I see Angel as a character rather than Angel, because I know Angel, she’s not like that. I don’t get jealous, that as professional, I understand it. I understand, she was working before she met me. The film is very very good… so…”

Did Phil knows that there will be kissing scene and bedscene with her leadingman John Lloyd? “She’s an actress when she met me so, she doesn’t need to consult me,” say ng atleta.

As much as possible, ayaw ni Phil pag-usapan ang relationship nila ni Angel. Mas gusto niyang very private, kung anuman mayroon sila. “We’re very happy. Actions speak louder than words.”

Aga & Angel named actor, actress of the year by Guillermo

“WOW naman,” ang napabulalas na reaksyon ni Aga Muhlach nang makarating sa kanya ang balitang siya at si Angel Locsin ang na-proclaim na film actor and actress of the year, respectively, sa katatapos na botohan sa Guillermo Mendoza Memorial and Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF).

The recognition is for the first film together, In the Name of Love.

“Naging trend na yata sa akin ang panalo ng award for best actor. Salamat, Lord,” dagdag ni Aga.

Kung tutuusin nga naman, it’s his fourth win for the same movie ’pag tinanggap na niya ang award from the GSMMF on April 29 at the Meralco Theater. Nauna na rito ang best actor trophy from the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies and from the Enpress’ Golden Screen Awards.

On April 28, muli silang tatanggap ng trophy ni Angel, this time, from PASADO, sa kaparehong kategorya.

For Angel, it will be her third win in the same category for the same movie.

Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin are youth's most fave stars, survey says

A recent survey says celebrities “TODA Max” stars Robin Padilla and Angel Locsin are today's youth's most favorite stars.

Conducted by TNS, the survey has Robin is at the number one spot in the list of the youth and young adults’ most favorite actor.

He is followed by Angel, who recently received a Best Actress award for her performance in the movie "In the Name of Love." The results of the survey was based on 1,200 face-to-face interviews conducted to Filipinos aged 18 to 24 from class A, B, C D and E households across the country.

The research firm said that the likes and dislikes of the youth and young adults are significant to all companies, since they dominate 16 percent and nine percent of the Philippine population, respectively.

This Saturday on “TODA Max, Tol (Robin) and Justin (Vhong Navarro) will travel to as far as Isabel’s province to win the heart of the lady’s family. Justin, however, is pessimistic to please Isabel’s father Tatay Mac (Al Tantay) because of their not-so-good past encounter in Manila. Tol will help his cousin Justin to impress Isabel’s clan. Will he succeed in winning their hearts?

Angel to do a movie with Dingdong

Guess what? Willing daw si Angel Locsin na maka-trabaho si Luis Manzano either sa isang tv series o movie.

Ang tanong na ito kay Angel came about dahil nga may balak ang Star Cinema na pagsamahin sila ng mommy ni Luis, si Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, sa isang movie.

Ayon kay Angel, isa itong great honor ’pag nagkataon.

How about Luis for her leading man?

Ang maliksing sagot niya, “Why not?”

Well, ang tanong namin, ok ba naman kay Luis?

We have to remember na sa presscon of his still ipinalalabas pang movie, Moron 5 & the Crying Lady, Luis was asked if he would consider guesting Angel sa Deal or No Deal.

Ang sagot niya, baka raw hindi since ibang level na si Angel.

Pangalawang tanong: Wala bang mai-insecure, kung saka-sakali?

Another project na posible niya ring gawin is a reunion movie with Richard Gutierrez.

After all, aniya, at one time, marami silang pelikulang pinagtambalan na lahat ay kumita.

Kaya, susog ni Angel, it would be nice to work with Richard again.

We heard that Regal Films will co-produce the Richard-Angel reunion vehicle.
