This last Sunday I can’t help but ask this question.
Ren and Victoria drove more than 20 hours round trip
to come from Northern California – spending a total of
only 5 hours to visit with the other Pasionistas and finally
get to meet Brigitte . BAKIT?

Pek and Tita Nora woke up at the crack of dawn
(around 5 a.m.?) to meet up and drive to my place so
we can all drive to breakfast in Brentwood. Naligaw pa
po sila in the process- siempre kasama ang husband ni
Pek, buti na lang mabait. Pero BAKIT?

Si Lulu left her home really early also, and was so
happy that the meeting was changed from a dinner
to breakfast instead, so she can “surreally” get to
meet Brigitte at last. Why all the fuzz? BAKIT?

Joy came straight from San Diego and instead of taking
her son to a swim tournament, she was trudging her way to
Brentwood also. BAKIT?

And me, personally, it was a really tough choice between
going to church with my son who has just come home from
deployment, and driving to LA for a few hours of fun with
the Pasionista sisters.[B] BAKIT?

A Story of Faith

Every night, my daughter would read a book before she sleeps. But this night was not like any ordinary night. After she has read her book, she wanted me to ask her questions about the book among other things. So I did. After the 4th question, she asked for 1more. She specifically said that she wanted a really, really, really important question. Here goes ...

ME: Who is Jesus? Do you know Him?

DAUGHTER: (part of her very long answer. Ito ang tumatak sa akin. Her exact words. )
JESUS loves us.He will never let go of our hearts. He takes care of all of us.You know when the mother bird soars high to get food & leaves the baby bird,Jesus takes care of the baby until the mother comes back.

ME: Right, that is why you have to trust in Him all the time.

DAUGHTER: Yes, because He takes care of everything. He never gets tired.
..end of conversation ..

I was teary-eyed & when she was past asleep _I did cry a little. WHY? I was happy. Because I know when she's older, when I can protect her no more, when she's ready to spread her own wings, SHE CAN FACE THE WORLD. She can handle life's ups and downs and it's uncertainties. She has JESUS in her heart, the greatest Weapon & Shield one could ever have in this lifetime. She will be alright.

By the way,she just turned 7 recently.
Perhaps if we could instill in our children that kind of faith, I believe we will be alright too. Sometimes the best lessons in life are better taught by children. We could learn a thing or two from them so let's listen to what they have to say.

As we continue with our journey, STAY FAITHFUL, REMAIN HOPEFUL, LIVE TO LOVE. GOD IS IN CONTROL.

So the verdict is out. What do we do now? As Pasionistas we pledged to support them INDIVIDUALLY not only as a couple....and that we will do.

We will keep supporting their individual projects and endorsements.

We will not judge them but will in fact respect their decisions.

We will be happy for them if they find love again if not with each other, then with someone else worthy of each of them.

We will continue to pray that time will heal their pain and anger and that peace and forgiveness will find their way into their hearts.

We will continue the good work we started in their honor, for what better way to memorialize the love they had for each other than through good deeds.

We are Pasionistas and proud to have had these two wonderful people unite us and thus we will stay united
