A Story of Faith

Every night, my daughter would read a book before she sleeps. But this night was not like any ordinary night. After she has read her book, she wanted me to ask her questions about the book among other things. So I did. After the 4th question, she asked for 1more. She specifically said that she wanted a really, really, really important question. Here goes ...

ME: Who is Jesus? Do you know Him?

DAUGHTER: (part of her very long answer. Ito ang tumatak sa akin. Her exact words. )
JESUS loves us.He will never let go of our hearts. He takes care of all of us.You know when the mother bird soars high to get food & leaves the baby bird,Jesus takes care of the baby until the mother comes back.

ME: Right, that is why you have to trust in Him all the time.

DAUGHTER: Yes, because He takes care of everything. He never gets tired.
..end of conversation ..

I was teary-eyed & when she was past asleep _I did cry a little. WHY? I was happy. Because I know when she's older, when I can protect her no more, when she's ready to spread her own wings, SHE CAN FACE THE WORLD. She can handle life's ups and downs and it's uncertainties. She has JESUS in her heart, the greatest Weapon & Shield one could ever have in this lifetime. She will be alright.

By the way,she just turned 7 recently.
Perhaps if we could instill in our children that kind of faith, I believe we will be alright too. Sometimes the best lessons in life are better taught by children. We could learn a thing or two from them so let's listen to what they have to say.

"Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man."

As we continue with our journey, STAY FAITHFUL, REMAIN HOPEFUL, LIVE TO LOVE. GOD IS IN CONTROL.

1Peter 3:15 - But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

Romans 15:3 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy & peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Matthew 17:20 He replied, "....I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."

Luke 17:6 He said to them, “If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you may say to this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea', and it would obey you.”

continue lang po natin ang pag-nurture nitong FAITH LIKE A MUSTARD SEED in everything that we do, and we will be surprised of the results, as God said in the Bible sa mga nagda-doubt, "TRY ME!"

True faith is precious; it is like gold, it will endure a trial. A true believer fears no trial. He is willing to be tried by God. He is willing to have his faith tried by others, he shuns not the touchstone. He is much in testing himself. He would not take anything upon trust, especially that which is of such moment. He is willing to hear the worst as well as the best.
