i dont eat much yolk as of our family physician's advise
Cholesterol is in the yolk naman and most of the egg proteins are in the white.
Two eggs in the morning are good prot source and it helps fend off hunger longer.
when you say egg whites, fresh or luto?![]()
OT, pwede bang chicken breast? hehe best source of protein din un diba, although mas convenient yung eggs.
anyway, i eat everything even the egg yolks, may protein din naman kasi yun, and i dont worry about cholesterol, because i workout regularly, masama ang cholesterol kapag sobra sa katawan at sedentary ang lifestyle mo, so everytime na nag eexercise ka, you always improve your blood circulation, preventing cholesterol to become plague which blocks your arteries/veins making it narrower leading to hypertension.
For me, it's chicken breast, no skin, fat removed. 100grams equals 25 grams of protein. 1 big chicken breast is about 400grams, so that easily equals to 100g protein. Add half a breast more, about 200g, it will give you about 150g protein total.
Preparation: Boil water, then turn it off. Add the breast and blanch it for 20mins.
It always taste better than boiling or steaming it. After that, add to your rice and dip it in soy sauce/chili sauce/garlic sauce.
Some day, tinola style or adobo. You can add hardboiled egg to go with that if you want.
Just make sure to drink loads of water to remove excess salt.
di nyo kinakain yung yolk?kung puro white lang, san nyo nilalagay yung yolk? Tinatapon? Sayang naman.
^pero most of the protein of the eggs na sa egg white naman eh. It depends on your lifestyle din kasi. If you're an active kind of guy and you don't do a lot of desk jobs then okay lang siguro yung may yolk.
For a week, I
I tried this for a week. Mga 1-4x ako kumain ng itlog, buo with yellow. After that, nagpatest ako ng triglycerides and atl, ayun, it went up, beyond the normal range.
so I guess it's safer na white lang yung kainin, dahil nakakataas ng cholesterol level yung yellow.
^tataas talaga yan even if you're an active person eh di lalo na kung sedimentary pa lifestyle mo.
4-6 eggs breakfast. scrambled. With garlic and onions, olive oil. Butter sometimes.
Maybe 3 hard boiled eggs for recess
6 eggs lunch. Maybe soft boiled. Still with chopped prefried onions and garlic.
Maybe 3 hard boiled eggs for merienda
0-6 eggs for dinner to supplement whatever ulam.
All yolk included.
^For real? So that's a total minimum of 17 and a maximum of 25 eggs per day?!
Grabe dami nun dude. Sobrang taas ng cholesterol mo na niyan.
^ I think u meant sedentary lifestyle. Yes, my work is kind of sedentary pero I do work out and jog naman whenever I can.![]()
Cholesterol levels can vary. If you are sick when you took it, cholesterol level goes down. If you ate something fatty and oily like beef steak, fried meat, hotdogs, etc., weeks before you took the test, your cholesterol will be high. It can also affect your level if you didn't fast for 12-14 hours. Less than that, you'll have inaccurate readings. So, if you want accurate readings, flush everything first and clean your diet. Weight loss too can lower cholesterol levels.
The last time I check my level was 196. When I ate meatballs the night before I took another test, it jumped to 250. :P
