Marami silang anak kasi kulang sila sa sex education. They don't know how to use, or even aware of the different contraceptives available to them. And even if they do, they lack access to those stuff. They can't even afford to eat 3x a day, iicpin pb nila kung pano gumamit at bumili ng contraceptives? that's why the government should reach out. kaso haharangan ng church. Although I understand yung point ng church, pero it's better to prevent fertilization kesa mgkaron ng anak and mhihirapan lang sila dito sa mundo. and *** mga anak na un, magiging skwater, and mgkakaanak ulit ng sobrang dami. this should stop kasi it will increase poverty, kasi dumadami ang mahihirap. I don't want to be discriminating, but that's reality. We should help each other and the government to stop this. or else, tayo lang ang mhihirapan. Weeeeh? "JOKE LANG!" HEHEHEHE. Pinapapost lang kc talaga ako. ahahahaha!

Uneducated people end up just going by their gut instinct. One should always merge 'gut instinct' with intellect and wisdom. Without both intellect and wisdom, a person is left with just his brain and mind being one and the same. The mind is the 'spirit of the brain'. A brain is an organ. Their scope of view then becomes limited to merely being man-centered.

Given that they are informal settlers, they tend to lead informal lives. They have no solid political views, as they lack the education needed to understand a sound philosophy of life. They end up with a view of living life as a day to day battle with the elements of their enviroment.

They are uncertain whether they should classify themselves as either a Conservative or a Liberal, that is if they even know these concepts. More often than not, they get lost in the meaning of it all. For me, conservatism is Filipino Values. To be Filipino is to know Filipino Values. And THAT IS FILIPINO PRIDE. Certainly, they know they are Filipinos. But what most of them don't know is the REAL MEANING OF FILIPINO. Unconsciously, they veer towards liberal ideas because of the fact that INDEPENDENCE COULD POSSIBLY FAIL THEM. It's because of this that they RELY ON THE STATE. This is where they become Leftist. Then they want to be free in DOING WHAT'S NOT GOOD FOR THEM. THEY ARE ABUSING FREEDOM.

    Sad.

According to my professor in family medicine:
    1. Urban Squatters--- the more children, the more chances that one will hit it big and bring the family out of poverty.
    2. Rural Squatters--- the more children, the richer they will become because there are more hands to help around the rice fields/ farm/ fishery/ etch...

    But for me it's multifactorial:
    1. Lack of a free and decent family planning + Sex Education (When will there be a true separation of State and Church in the Philippines???)
    2. Tolerance--- it's as if the society is giving the impression that it's OK to fornicate and multiply as the poor have the license not to obey the law...
    a) Since when did taking over private lands become the right of the poor. And when they are asked to leave they cry foul and the CHR even takes their side. How about the Human Rights of the real land owners?
    b) I Quote Bayani Fernando (his retort to a priest defending illegal vendors)--- "Nakalagay ba sa bibliya na kapag mahirap ka pwede ka nang hindi sumunod sa batas?"
    c) Ask any multigravid and multiparous patient why they are pregnant again for the nth time and they will surely answer "nagagalit si mister pag hindi ako pumayag".--- Let's give this a try... pasakan mo ng papaya o melon ang **** ng mister mo at sabihin mo iluwal niya yun. At pag nagawa niya ulit ulitin mo. Tignan natin kung magalit pa iyon sayo.
    3. Lack of Education--- without a means of breaking the cycle of poverty they bring forth a new batch/ generation who will continue on the cycle.
    4. The Poor have a different definition of "libangan"--- In Fabella, forget the multiparous mothers who give birth to their 8th, 10th, 12th child and look at the children aged 12, even 10 (yes 10 I kid you not!) who give birth everyday, every hour, every minute. Of course at those ages the first thing that will come into mind is rape but no. After interviewing them and sometimes an investigation by the NCMH (were they are brought after giving birth)... They have boyfriends and when you ask when did they start having sex they will answer 9! I'm just dumbfounded by this cases. At aged 9-12 I was still playing with toys but at that age they were playing with something different.

Naaalala ko yung kanta ng Pulp, Common People: "cos there's nothing else to do, but to dance and drink and screw".

Minsan nakakakita ako ng pamilya na nakatira sa kariton, tapos mga 5 anak. Iniisip ko lagi, saan kaya ito nag-do do? Pero marami akong kilala na middle class people who do it every night yet childless pa rin sila.

Mamomroblema sila kung paano palalayasin 'yung mga tao, eh sino ba nagpatira sa kanila dun in the first place, para lang bumango ang pangalan nila sa masa at makakuha ng mas maraming boto sa eleksyon?

The number of child/children you can have should be based on your monthly income, this will help control the population of the poor and "might" save our country out of poverty.

But then again the Church is there saying "go forth and multiply".

I personally think one of the factors why the RP's very poor is because of religion. The catholic church always meddle with the government's affairs.

Puro na lang pray, pray and pray and walang action.

    This too.

They just don't care at all

what's unfortunate for me, i think, that since they are living within the "traditional" ways (daw), they're also subject to early marriages (kelangan daw panagutan) and end up in separation, and since they can't afford to file an annulment, will end up committing bigamy

hay naku ewan ko ba sa kanila ang katwiran niya wala daw silang kayamanan pero mayaman naman sa anak. Wala na ngang malamon chorva pa ng chorva. Akala mo napaka babango ng mga chever nila.

Example, may office mate ako na hawig ni romick sarmenta kapag hinukay. Napaka totyal, sukang paombong ang pinapaligo, naka dalawang kinakasama pa, at inaway pa ako dahil karapatan daw niya ang paternity benefits. Krompalin ko nga. Walang pakundangan kung chumorva.
