    Where to buy business attires?

    Hello everyone!

Saan pwede bumili ng formal wear na maganda but cheap because I just landed my first job? My mom gave me a generous amount of money and bought my stuffs last week sa Zara and Flower collection and when i got home, feeling ko kulang pa yung pinamili ko. Satisfied na ko sa slacks and blazers na binili ko, but regarding sa polo/blouses, konti palang. Meron ba kayong alam na shops for blouses/polos na pang office attire na cheaper than Zara and flower collection para mas madami akong mabili? Thanks

Hi there! Try MEMO. They have nice dresses. They go on sale din. How much is your budget ba? Kasi for quality dresses, mura na yung 500. Memo puts their dresses on sale (php500) kaya lang syempre tyempuhan. You're lucky if you get your size on sale. Usually last 45 pieces ng shop sinesale na e.. or when they have a new collection

    Good luck sa new job!

Divisoria is the way to go. I go to 168 mall and buy from stalls there. My favorite is at Juana. Tops range from 250-350. Slacks from 300-500. Dresses from 400-600. (if I am not mistaken).

I was about to suggest MEMO

Haha everybody suggests Memo, ako din eh
Depende lang sa budget and body type. I'm a guy and I hardly go to Memo coz their sizes are a bit too big for me kahit small. I'm in corporate attire daily and my closet is stocked with :

    Business shirts (long sleeves) :
Marks & Spencer - I get yung tama sa neck ko and have the rest refitted (sa mga nagttrabahong lalaki dapat meron kayong tailor <<sastre>>.
    G2000
Par Excellance and Attitudes slim fit, XS and S (local brands that fit without resizing)
Bench -short sleeves, for Fridays.

Most of my ties are from Marks & Spencer also.

    Pants -
    Tyler
    F&H
    Attitudes and GQ slim fit
    Zara
Chinos from Topman for casual fridays (skinny carrots or slims in khaki and navy -- reserve the more casual casual ones like yung fitted bottoms for the weekends). Also have 2 skinny slacks I think I bought on discount from them (gray and navy) -- Even Topman skinny business pants are not spray-on skinny sakin ... the spray on skinny jeans are another story though, those I don't buy, I get mine made at Defacto.

Ladies can get away with a lot of brands and can get creative. Get your basics from Memo, Zara, the Black Shop, Maldita and spring for some color from Plains & Prints (sabi mo kase you bought from Flower Collection), even SM brands ... Divi nga marami ka na mabibili o tiangge (my mom is a buy and dispose kind of shopper so she gets those 150 - 300 tops or straight dresses at tiangges, wears them twice then gives em away and buys more ... she loves SM).

Invest in good polos and slacks. It'll cost extra but it'll go a long way.

For polos, Marks and Spencers has affordable yet good quality polos. You can get a long sleeve for around 1.4k.

For slacks just have one custom made for you. Importanteng maganda ang fit niya.

Magkano ba clothes sa Tyler? I've always wanted to check their store at Glorietta pero somehow I'm always intimidated. Baka kasi hindi makaya ng aking budget.

Okay din sa Loalde kaya lang kaunti ang choices at ang tagal bago magkaroon ng new arrivals/new stocks.

maybe you would like to have your busriness attire tailored instead. some rtw are designed for a specific fit.

    minsan magmumukhang hiram lang.

True.

Plains and Prints and Kamiseta. But department stores never fail.

  12. #12
for girls : mango, zara, black shop, landmark dept store, bayo, plains & prints, apple&eve

for men: memo, daniel hechter, g2000

kung kulang ka pa sa blouses...i remember nung nagwo-work pa ako during wash days, marami akong button down blouses, in various colors, like this: yung collar ganyan rin. bagay siya sa blazer na itim. mas maganda kung yung tela is hindi na kailangan i-iron, yung malambot na type. so kung may tyempuhan kang cheap na ganyan, buy ka in different colors. baka nga mura lang magpatahi nyan. tapos add a freshwater pearl necklace, 400php lang ata yun per strand sa greenhills

minsan mas maganda pa tlaga may uniform, mas tipid na and tailored pa sayo.

    goodluck on your first work!

I don't have any particular store in mind. I just go to various stores during mall sales and buy what's discounted. I stick to basic styles and style it with accessories like watches, bags etc. Good thing about my profession is that i get to use it as an excuse to look a bit different haha

You might would like to try the stalls in GREENHILLS. I usually buy office dress there and my budget is Php600 for a piece of dress suitable for office attire. There are shops there that sells branded over-runs.

For the branded ones, my personal preference is Tyler and BlackShop.

Mag-wo-work lang naka-Zara pa!

^ syempre dress like the boss.

Disappointed ako sa damit sa Memo. I bought a couple of dresses tapos after a few washes lang faded na. The other one naman because the bottom is a heavier material than the top, nag stretch na yung top bit so pag suot mo inappropriate na for work.
