^ Good luck sir/ma'am.

enjoy mo nalang muna summer haha... trust me... it will be your last... as a free man... lol

seriously though, enjoy mo nga summer kulit... haha

You'll learn accounting along the way... mas okay mag prepare pag may basic knowledge ka na sa accounting... that's after your first semester... kasi kung ngayon, I don't think may makukuha ka na substantial... although maganda na prepared ka, kaso kung ako lang, chill ka na lang... hehe

try to read other threads... kung anong ginagawa ng mga CPAs/Accountants... Goodluck!!

my advice goes the same. ENJOY SUMMER!
(more probably if you're into a five-year curriculum) so better yet, magbakasyon ka na ng bongga.

don't need to be too excited to study accounting, pero 'wag din maging clueless. know the basics. that's good enough.

and the basics are: be friends with your calculator, have bonding time with your columnar notebooks and worksheets (kung gagamit pa nga ba kayo neto XD) and be prepared for long and sleepless nights.

God bless

Naalala ko last year, nasa kalagayan mo rin ako pero wala pa kasi kong accounting subjects nong freshman pa ko. This coming sophomore year palang ako magkakaroon.

Nagbabasa-basa ako ng mga accounting-related books but some says basic accounting is so crucial to learn and we really need to have a mentor to teach us because the basic accounting will be our foundation to answer more complicated problems in higher accounting.

The skill you needed to enhance is your reading comprehension because it will be really helpful for you to understand some technical words in accounting.
    GOD BLESS YOU!
By the way, san ka mag-aaral?

Simpleng add, subtract, multiply, and divide lang. Ang tanong, ano ang ia-add mo, dapat bang i-subtract mo, etc. More on analytical/comprehension skill.

    1. just remember the basic accounting equation. Assets - Liabilities = Owner's Equity (Capital)

    2. di porket first year ka pa lang ngayon, petiks petiks ka pa. know how to be serious agad, tandaan, Accounting student ka. Sabi nga ng prof ko, Acctg students are elite students. Iba ang pressure pag Acctg student.

    3. Mangamba ka na kung nakakuha ka ng 2.00 (or 3.00 if you're studying in La Salle), galingan mo pa.

    4. Know the foundations.

    5. Know how to DEBIT studies, and CREDIT vices.

Tsaka enjoy mo muna summer mo!
If you have your book na, you can scan it muna, pero wag mo munang intindihin, wala kang maiintindihan jan.

Haha. Basta be reminded by those. Enjoy

tama, enjoy niyo muna bakasyon..

fundamentals? basics and foundation yan ng accounting.

eto lang advise ko, kung anong mapag-aaralan mo 'bout accounting since day 1, tatandaan mo. kasi habang tumatagal, dumadami na yung pag-aaralan niu. pero yung fundamentals, ganun pa din. kaya wag na wag kakalimutan kung ano man ang mga napag-aralan na.

galingan mo! kaya mo yan God bless.
