    a spaceship is certainly more believable than a moving star. I've heard of people seeing ufo's but a moving star? not even in the movies.

    wisemen or kings depends on what story where.

    my point is... it was a star to the people who saw it before. but it was a UFO on today's standard

    it was a close encounter of the first kind basing on hynek's scale

    First

    A sighting of one or more unidentified flying objects:

    * Flying saucers
    * Odd lights
    * Aerial objects that are not attributable to known human technology

    but it is a star.

    they were actually "waiting" for this star.

    the magis knew that it will be a star.

    it's not like they were lying on the fields relaxing, and then all of a sudden a beaming bright moving light, danced in the night sky, with background music "Hallelujah! Hallelujah!", surprised and curious, the magis went and followed the star.

    they knew, and even anticipated the time of the star's appearing (because it was prophesied)

    and if you read Matthew, the star was not even big or different from other stars as popularly believed, most prolly it was just an average sized star, except that it is unique from the others in its importance.

    Matthew also did not say that the star moved or danced or had a finger luring the magis to the place where Jesus was. It just moved with the other stars (or more accurately, the earth moved until the house was under the star).

    nope,

    mathew 2:1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, in the time of King Herod, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem 2 saying, “Where is the one who is born king of the Jews? For we saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”

    it rose

    and on

    verse 9:

    And having heard the king, they went their way; and lo, the star, which they had seen in the east, went on before them, until it came and stood over where the Child was. And when they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And they came into the house and saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell down and worshiped Him; and opening their treasures they presented to Him gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh (Matt. 2:9-11, NASB).

    went on before them
    and went on before them

    not star if you ask me.

    all stars rise from the east.

    oh wait, those Magis were easterners, are they not?

    ^nice image.

    still, thinking that the star was a kind of ufo can only go as far as pure speculation, if not imagination.

    what if an alien came down to rescue you from your god
    If that happens, they'll have to answer a bunch of my questions first and I have to dissect at least one of them, you can never be too sure!

    Dissa, kung maglalakad ka lang at susundin ang sa akala mo ay isang tala at hihinto sa ibabaw ni baby Jeeeeeeeeeeezus (thanks sophie), UFO yan.

    Matthew 2:9
    When they had heard the king, they departed; and lo, the star which they saw in the East went before them until it came and stood over where the young Child was.

    Dissa, ang mga bituin ay sobrang laki.. how da hell has it "stood over where the young child was"?? Puwede nating sabihin na it stood over the solar system. But over a "child"? HAHAHAHAHA!!! If it does, it also stands over herod, and the entire population on the side of the earth facing that star. UFO yan, o kaya si Tinkerbelle. Wag ka makinig sa Christ in you at niloloko ka nyan.
