I dunno kung pano yung style sa NCAA foreigners yung parang equalizer ng mga school sa mga blue-chip schools. Let's face it, Fil-foreigners are a commodity, guys like Opstal, Slaughter, Ray Park JR are highly sought after kasi me build sila ng foreigner pero di sila limited ng foreigner rules in the UAAP.

The US NCAA allows foreigners to play but EXTREMELY STRINGENT REGULATIONS are in place to make the sure that the foreigners are legit students and not mercenaries brought over from africa. Kahit yungs funds for the plane ticket from nigeria, iniinvestigate.

I'm in favor of the 1-foreigner policy of UAAP but they need to impose guidelines similar to the US NCAA.

^I agree, both NCAA and UAAP can have foreigners. For the funding, medyo mahirap talaga invenstigate kasi most of the expenses ay may mga sponsors like alumnis, group or individual. This is a common practice kahit sa local players. Ganun talaga nangyayari. And the plane ticket kahit local reimbursible yun. Logic nun, Its the school who invite the individual to come to the campus for the series of practices. So I think tama lang that the one who invited the player shoulder the expenses. Ganun din naman kahit sa U.S. NCAA. Mas grabe pa nga dun para mag lure ng players from all over the world, hindi lag talaga expose.

Majority ng UAAP teams may foreign player. So mahirap na gayahin ng UAAP ang NCAA. Add mo pa UE na may nagreresidency daw. And ADMU and DLSU will not complain about having foreigners. Malakas na recruitment e.
Sila pala yung 2 foreign players na naka-UE jackets na nasa tabi lang namin during the NU-UE game. Someone asked them if they will play pero sabi nila hindi muna. We'll probably see them next year.

I agree. I used to hate watching PBA dati when the FilAms and foreigners started coming, pero come to think of it, hindi mag-i-improve ang game nila and di sila matututong maglaro with or against foreigners kung purely Pinoy lang ang mga kasama nila.

hindi lang sa basketball tayo huling makakakita ng foreign players. we already have foreign players participating in other sports such as football (UP has an Ghanaian player) and it won't be surprising if some volleyball teams would also introduce the idea of having foreign players in their respective line-ups.
