Yeah, they're probably worried that TNR will surpass TWW. But to be honest, I don't think Aaron Sorkin can top TWW.
TWW is one of the finest tv shows ever. It's like saying JK Rowling can top Harry Potter by writing another one. Yes, TNR is good but the impact TWW had with politics and its audience is of great magnitude. Having said that, hindi rin naman magiging justification yan to trash TNR because it is good. Outstanding. It's not flawless but damn, I'll choose to watch this over and over again than endure an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashans or whatever hideous reality show is out there.![]()
Will's last spiel reminded me of Aaron Sorkin's words about the 9/11 attack through the West Wing.
President Josiah Bartlet (The West Wing 4x2): More than any time in recent history, America's destiny is not of our own choosing. We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life. We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive...The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels tonight. They're our students and our teachers and our parents and our friends. The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels, but every time we think we have measured our capacity to meet a challenge, we look up and we're reminded that that capacity may well be limitless. THIS IS A TIME FOR AMERICAN HEROES. WE WILL DO WHAT IS HARD. WE WILL ACHIEVE WHAT IS GREAT. THIS IS A TIME FOR AMERICAN HEROES AND WE REACH FOR THE STARS. God bless their memory, God bless you and God bless the United States of America. Thank you.
Will McAvoy (The Newsroom 1x7): It’s been 9 years, 7 months and 20 days since America’s most wanted criminal took from us 2,977 American sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, friends and colleagues. We were transformed that morning into a different nation: more fearful and so of course, more hostile. And while nothing, not even this victory, our country has waited for such a long time can bring back the souls lost on that terrible morning in New York City, in Virginia, in Pennsylvania and all across America and the world, let tonight serve as a welcome remark, that throughout our history, AMERICA’S DARKEST DAYS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FOLLOWED BY ITS FINEST HOURS.
the episode title kind of gave it away
Just watched the episode.
The Newsroom is really getting good. I don't know what the other critics are seeing, but I see a perfectly written, perfectly acted, perfect show. HAHAHA. (fan na fan?)
Yeah, I loved that scene with Don in the airplane. It's the first time he went into a hissy fit and I fully support him. At bagay sila ni Sloan.
At musta naman si Jim, isang taon na siyang may feelings for Maggie.
And about the favorite episode wars, still sticking with Episode 6. Us having different favorite episodes signifies that it is really a good show with multiple great episodes.
Currently watching the series on HBO...Mortimer still has a hard time masking her British accent (heard her say "arse" in her dialogue) in something vaguely Southern-esque
I can imagine Danny Boyle flying down there and directing some episodes of the upcoming season...after all, he has already worked with the likes of Mortimer (Trainspotting) and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire)
you want me to poledance while explaining subprime mortgages?
LMFAO!
Nagtataka ako kung bakit ang daming TV critics ang may ayaw sa TNR since the Pilot episode. Hindi daw realistic etc.
Dalawa lang naman ang hindi ko masyadong gusto sa TNR: The opening credits and Maggie (). Jim Harper all the way!

Hi ate jayzhelle![]()
The latest episode was good but not as good as the previous ones. But still, I'm waiting for News Night to expose Reese Lansing in hacking and wiretapping.
And I want more Will sessions with the shrink because I want to hear his unresolved feelings for Mac.
currently downloading Epi8.
