I know. It’s premature to call her an actress but I just did, so, what now? haha
I also know that a drop of tear isn’t enough to prove that one’s a thespian.
But let me tell you what else I know.
That last Sunday, that tearful scene with Ely ripped my heart open and slashed a dagger through it.
That I cried despite of the fact that it would have to take so much more to make me.
Yes. Toyang got me really good and that shows a lot of promise.
I am an audience, a choosy one. If an actor is able to communicate his feelings to me through that indifferent rectangular piece of technology, then he’s good. Really good.
Julie possesses all the promise of a good actress. She’s sincere and raw. And she’s not afraid to contort her face if need be. Ngiwi kung ngiwi. Iyak kung iyak. Kebs.
Having said all these, I’m very proud of Julie. And here I thought I could not love her more than I already do. Guess I thought wrong. <3
