    PBA Odds - Spread

    For today's games,

    Barako Bull (-2.5)
    Alaska Aces(+2.5)

    Meralco (+3.5)
    Bmeg (-3.5)

My choices are Barako Bull to cover the 2.5 spread
And on the 2nd game, i'll go with Bmeg. I think they can beat Meralco by atleast four points

What do you think are the wise choices given the spread above?

Bmeg ML on Game2 then Meralco ML on the deciding game. That's my prediction of the series. Iwas muna ako sa Alaska-Barako series, medyo magulo yan eh.

So far the odds for a team to win the championship are as follows:

    Talk n Talk 2.00
    Ginebra 2.80
    Meralco 10.00
    Bmeg 15.00
    Barako 10.00
    Alaska 22.00

Bmeg from 2.80 last week to 15.00 today.

    Asero,

What were Meralco's odds last week? I can imagine it was a phenomenal leap as well...

^^ I really can not remember but for sure after elims, it was between 20-25. Same odds as that of Powerade and Barako.

The distance between TNT and Ginebra versus the rest is very far. And they're actually headed towards a collision course in the Finals, if the seedings (and the odds) hold up.

It's fascinating though to see how Barako and Meralco simply went up odds-wise after their Game 1 victories against Alaska and B-Meg, respectively.

When will the odds for tomorrow's game come out? I'm thinking Barako with a -3.5 and Meralco with a -2.5...

The odds for the spread is not yet open but for money line, Bmeg is still favored to win tomorrow

    Bmeg 1.66
    Meralco 2.01

    Alaska 1.81
    Barako 1.83

    For today's games,

    Barako Bull (+1.5)
    Alaska Aces(-1.5)

    Meralco (+3.0)
    Bmeg (-3.0)

so the spreads are almost the same as in game 1 for both series.

The odds seem fair but it's interesting to note how "low" Meralco is in the totem pole. Considering a team that has Jong Uichico as consultant and a prospective "expensive" and talented reinforcement capable of turning their fortunes around, I feel the Bolts should be ranked a tad higher. Not a huge jump but they seem to have better chances than the Alaska Aces.

Corollarily, Alaska is ranked a bit high and should probably switch places with the Bolts. Even if the Aces remain extremely formidable and talented with Thoss, Tenorio, Baguio, Custodio, and new recruit Gabby Espinas, the instability of whether the team would continue after the season serves as a Damocles' sword hanging on top of the players' heads.

Interesting though that ROS is ranked in the upper half by the oddsmakers. I actually agree with this but it also serves notice of how highly they regard Yeng Guiao as a head coach and how capable team manager Andy Jao is as an import-recruiter.

last conference i bet Php 100 for Bmeg to be Champs. It netted me almost 1,000 pesos...

Meralco odds look really good, imagine your 100 pesos would generate you Php 3,000
