I pay as always in cash. Lahat ng credit card bills ko, I always pay in full lagi. Kung malapit lang naman, I do walk rather than taking a cab.

tama nga sabi nila - NAPAKASWERTE MO! earning so much amount na dapat sana ngayon you have gained financial freedom. try paying your credit card debts first. sa totoo lang ang loan, interest nyan ibinabaon ka na sa utang - so, don't be fooled by their promos and try to minimize it, wag sabay-sabay. i agree with mamee, what you need right now is a liquid cash, and for a start, better if your partner is a good cook or has the ability to work on line - di kelangan ng big capital for these line of investments at madali lang pati i-handle habang buntis si partner.

    Good evening fellow PeXers!

Thanks again to those who provided their comments, keep it coming. It’s like fuel to my current endeavor (this is war to my expenses!)

    Some updates:

    1. I was able to talk to my sister yesterday and she mentioned that she’ll be working again. She will report for work on April 15th and will be able to shoulder 12K by June 2012 (12K less my expenses, 12K goes to my savings ***kaching-kaching***)

    2. I always bring my car for a carwash/wax every weekend, but yesterday, I did it myself. I saved an instant Php 120.00 (100 for the carwash, 20 for the tip) although I now have a shoulder pain for doing “wax in, wax out. I believe this will go away in a couple of days and some pain killers.

    3. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to use my motorbike last Friday because of the weather. But since Thursday, Friday and Monday are legal holidays and we’re allowed to wear jeans, I can try my luck again to save 6 liters worth of gas.

    4. My partner is now checking some suppliers of printers abroad that she’ll use for her home-based business. She’s good with arts and designs. This will cost us 50K for initial capital so we’re very cautious before making the dive. However, I would say that this is a good start.

Next move…start saving for our emergency fund. I plan to open a different passbook account for this. Thanks for all your support.

Hi Mykel Angelo, thanks for the comment.

I am working in a call center, been in this industry for some time now. They say the higher your income, the higher your expenses. Even my bosses who earns more have the same dilema.

I've learned my lessons the hard way (thanks to you guys) but I'm now ready to bounce back

    2,000,000 / 20,000 = 100 months

    100 /12 = 8.33 years

having this big salary presents many possible ways to save. ^_^
I've been working for 5 years and wala pa sa kalinkingan ng 130thou mo ang sweldo ko.

Dapat lang siguro bawasan ang expenses. (I know, easier said than done) It has to be a constant consideration for everything. That's what I do to psyche myself up.

Questions like "Do I really need this?" "Where will i be using this?" "Is this the best value for money that I can buy?" etc...

I do the EIP thing sa BDO, where they deduct a certain amount of money monthly from your account and invest it . I can say that I've earned quite a bit. (We'll a thousand or so since hindi pa naman ganun kalaki ang nailagay ko duon)

I also contribute to the office coop. I believe that it earns roughly 9%pa.

My cousin also asked me for a loan and pays me back at 12%pa.

I don't have lots of money and my ideas might seem simple. But I think its better to start somewhere.

Makes me wonder when will I get my first million. Hay...

    Anyhow, goodluck!

basta remember lang yung 6 steps to financial freedom...
clear the debts, save for emergncy fund, buy assets and invest.. yung assets medyo malalim ang ibig sabihin and depende sa paggamitan nung gamit..

Parefer naman! hahaha just kidding.

Good luck sa pagtitipid mo. :P I guess the best advice I can give is just pay your debts and get rid of them! Have a house that you own (not rent) and plan for the future :P But nasabi na nila lahat. So good luck and congratulations in advance :P

    Here's my advice.
    1. Be frugal (cut down your expenses whether it's stopping friday gimmicks, etc., this is the social cost on going to Financial Freedom)
    2. Pay yourself first (20% Savings and Investment, 70% Necessities, 10% Play, 10% Tithes- Give thanks to your God) Even Robert Kiyosaki admits he gives to churches
    3. Invest time on educating yourself about acquiring passive incomes (Paper assets, real estate, business)
    4. Always remember, money alone can't make you rich. It's what you know and who you know.

How I wish bro! We've decided to stay home for the long weekend. We bought some good DVD's (pirated, my bad) and some good chow and chips.

I now have my salary but I don't even want to touch it...I just want it to stay in my bank account

And for you guys who already have their 1st million and a passive income flowing, enjoy the holidays!!!!

Thanks for the advice. I've checked the site and will soon introduce it to her (maybe during the holy week).

Sharing, just in case others want to try it as well.
